Hi, Liza. I went to their front door as their letterbox was wired up & placed the jar with the recipe underneath on their wheelbarrow. We do know the couple & say hello whenever we meet in town usually. If you have a compost bin without a bottom the worms will find their way in anyway. We use one of those corkscrew-like compost mixers & every time you use it worms come up to the top.
Hi, LaMa. G's appointment went very well. He doesn't need to see them again & will have a phone appointment with a therapist in a couple of weeks. I insisted that he ask if he was allowed to cut wood as he was going to the other day & I stopped him. He has to take it easy for a couple of weeks, but start doing exercises & can take the bandages off, get the hand wet etc. He has to retrain his finger to feel normal again.
We actually had a lovely day yesterday. We visited a couple of friends from a distance, went for a walk around the beautiful city park, got GF fish and chips & ate them in the park, bought the GK's a uke each (my idea) & a how-to book, did a little food shopping & almost felt normal. I think I am getting better & better at avoiding getting close to anyone physically. A restaurant in Launc. that only does GF puts up a takeaway menu each day & last Tuesday they had fish and chips. I asked if they would be on the menu this Tuesday & the owner said that for me he would. How nice! They were a treat. I don't usually eat fried food, but as a one-off it was delicious.
