Isn't it great? I used to go to Tai Chi every week, Liza until my teacher moved interstate. She has moved back to Tassie & is starting a class on Tuesdays about 40 km away. I have missed her & Tai Chi.
I'm sitting down in the middle if the bush on our land, eating the rest of the 15g of jerky & listening to the birds. Bliss!
 
I love hearing about your golf escapades these days. So much has changed! I feel you on the stubborn scales but you do seem to be feeling better on 5:2 in general, right? Maybe try to focus on that and not gaining instead of on weightloss.
 
So much has changed indeed, LaMa. I am feeling better & hopefully weight-loss will happen. I'll weigh tomorrow & then wait a whole month.
Almost back from my walk & having a spell, with some more water.
 
It turned out my bananas weren't quite ripe, so I didn't get to eat them in solidarity with you after all!
Birds are strange and (sometimes) amazing creatures, aren't they? Listening to birdsong in bushland sounds a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.
 
Hey Cate, I agree with Petal, you are eating well, your weight will drop. If not this month next, but it will drop.

Wow 15000 steps that’s amazing and 9 hours sleep!!! Nothing like a good nights sleep you feel like 100 percent charged phone! I hope you lose weigh this month Cate you’ve done everything right!! :)
 
Amy- I also worked out that there was an underlying noise that must have been bees. I love that :)
Rob- I hope so. It seems crazy that it's not moving. You'll have to come for a walk down in the bush when you come to visit :)
Kate- I know! 15,000 steps is a lot for me. Golf courses are long & it's great exercise.

I will try very hard not to get upset about not losing any weight. I played golf on Sunday, ate well & not too much. Yesterday I had 450 cals, did 5,000 steps, drank lots of water & this morning weighed myself. Nothing. Zilch!
I'm heading to Tai Chi today. I woke lots of times last night & feel a bit anxious this morning. I'm looking forward to catching up with S, my old teacher. She's lovely & I have missed her. I have forgotten most of my Tai Chi.
I am disappointed with not having lost anything, but surely it must happen eventually.....
 
Sorry about the scales not going your way. It’s really annoying but do not give up. It will start to move. Now get out there and enjoy that Tai Chi class!!

Surely it must--you are doing everything right! Hopefully now you can put it out of your mind for the next month and just enjoy all the benefits of your good lifestyle changes. I hope next month's weigh in shows some good progress for you!

I also hope the anxiety faded and that you enjoyed your Tai Chi class!
 
Wonderful about the bees! And good about the tai chi, too. :) It's what I enjoy most about the morning exercise group - though the bending and stretching etc are probably very good for me. (The squatting I don't enjoy at all.)

Can you get G to double-check the scales? (ie stand on them, and see if they're weighing right for him) They're ordinary bathroom scales, I'm supposing - such scales can get wonky over time, temperamental. :rolleyes:

Thanks, Liza. I am definitely not getting on the scales until the 18th of March. My anxiety went away as soon as I saw my old teacher. I love that woman & I love Tai Chi.

Oh, Amy. This happened the last time I did 5:2 & I just have to be patient & stick with it. Can you believe "Patience" by Guns N' Roses came on the radio as I was driving down to the class? I did have a laugh!

The class was really lovely. Afterwards, we went to a local cafe for a coffee. I got affected by a woman's perfume & struggled to drive home afterwards. I also reacted to her personality, which is aggressive (she admits it) & very, very bossy. She actually told me that I should be able to be desensitised to fragrance. She was an expert on everything & has done everything. I'll try not to get involved in a conversation with her again. I may not go for coffee next time & may just go a bit earlier to catch up with S & help her set up like I used to. She is going to ask people not to wear perfume next week. She said there were a few people who had very strong perfume on.
The setting was amazing & looked out over the beach.
I'm knackered!

Should be able to (in a decent, functional world) I agree with, but we don't live in that world. I read a blog post a while back from a guy saying people with allergies really don't have a right to getting accommodated because desensitization therapies exist. It made me so angry! Out of my 25+ allergies there are 2 for which a therapy is available. 2! And they're not even the life-threatening ones. It makes me wish people like that should have to live with a handful of allergies for half a year or so (long enough to get used to the frustration).
 
She actually waggled her finger at me & said my attitude that I can't be desensitised is the problem. :svengo: I did not like this woman, but she is only one woman & I don't have to socialise with her again.

Admitting to being a really aggressive person and not working to change it? Surely she can sensitize herself to the world a bit?
