Cate's Diary

Cate it sounds exactly like a day on my plan. I'm with you on the kick start before the new year. It's good to feel motivated doing now going into a new year. My friend says 2020 will be an epic year so let's make it a healthy epic 2020.

You dealt with a lot in 2019 with golf club crap and many illnesses and people dying so it's time for you to forge your new path now and put yourself first for a while.

It was delicious, LaMa.
Petal- 2020 an epic, healthy year. I love it!
2019 was a weird year & I'll be glad when it's over.
2020- a year of really focussing on my health. I'll do it!

Love the sound of your food as always Cate. You are clearly very healthy, which makes losing weight a lot harder at this point. But you are a determined woman and can do it!

Here’s to an amazing 2020 for all of us.

No wine :)
My total if I have nothing else will be 1282, which would be a good start.
That is an impressive beginning Cate!! Yes the food sounds great. It's good that you already have a solid base in eating well and have experience in weight loss, so it's just a matter of applying principles you know and tapping into that discipline you have proven you have.

I guess I am lucky in that I don't drink any alcohol (or sodas or any kind of high calorie drinks) so that I don't need to think about that. Hopefully the extra walking will take the place of the wine for any kind of relaxing/de-stressing it may have been helping with. For me I think the walking helps with my cravings for sugar as that's my coping food.

Thanks, Em, yild, LaMa, Liza & Petal.
2020 has a satisfying ring to it. Let's make it count!
I love the sound of 2020. I feel very positive about it :)

Yesterday I consumed 1308 cals, no wine, 7212 steps (11 floors & 5.22km). Happy with my day.
BF this morning was 185g Greek yoghurt with some strawberries, rhubarb & a heaped teaspoon of almond meal. 330 cals.
We have decided to do a weekly shop a bit further away as their produce is much better & I don't have to wear a mask. Our local supermarket is putrid with chemicals & even if I shop with a mask I itch all over for a day or so. We'll head soon before it gets hot.
R's GF's family are here from the Netherlands & maybe visiting us tomorrow so we'll make sure we have plenty of food & a clean & tidy house.

Sounds like a pleasant, active day.

Your son R? Now I'm confused! I'm sure you'll enjoy the company though :)

Brilliant beginning to the new campaign! (You eat so well.) Great that you can get to a place that sells good produce - it makes such a difference. Mind you, the general view is that all of Tasmania has great produce.

It was, LaMa. Well picked. R's GF's family! They are lovely, but that is not surprising as she certainly is.
Thanks, Amy. We do eat well. Tassie does have wonderful produce. Our local store is a big chain (W) & the lovely store is a new providore style supermarket with high quality products. It's more expensive but we don't eat out often, so can justify it.

I see LaMa just posted the 14,000 reply to your diary, very impressive!

I am very hungry, but telling my stomach to shush! It's not listening.
Good for you, but some kind of low cal snack might make it easier. You once suggested jerky to me, it works pretty well.

Wowsers!

Thanks, Rob. I think I just needed to make myself get used to it. I have lots of jerky, so will get back in the habit again, especially when out & about. I have a nice little tin that once had tiny little chocs in it. I'll replenish it with little pieces of jerky & put it in my handbag. :)

Yes hope you enjoy the visit! Always good to have a motivator to clean the house :)

Hi, LaMa & Liza. We're not certain if they will visit as it depends on which way they drive & how much time they have. I haven't heard from K yet. They are down the west coast of Tassie so it's a fair way out of their way. The house will be nice & clean anyway, which is good.

BF- Greek yoghurt, strawberries, rhubarb, almond meal 330
L- Turkey breast stir-fry(zucchini, carrot, bok choy, asparagus, snow peas, onion etc) 223

I'll add my previous day's food each morning.
I was so tempted to get on the scales this morning. I'll weigh on Monday I think. Fridays & Mondays.
I hope we find out soon if K & her family are calling in.

How great, to be meeting new pleasant company/family connections!
The not-quite-local providore sounds wonderful - and I'm all for "indulging" in gorgeous fresh produce when it's available. Bet your home-cooking's better than the restaurants anyway!

Thanks, Amy. It was just K as her family's motorhome broke down. She spent a couple of hours here & had a light lunch with us. She is so lovely.
Hi, W2L. We do eat well & my husband,G is onboard with me really cutting down on carbs, so that will make it easier. He does the cooking. I may not get much walking in today, but will allow for that one day a week.

Having motor trouble while abroad sucks; I hope it gets fixed asap. Glad you enjoyed the visit though!
