Cate's Diary

R is too. I'm so glad he went straight to the hospital. It has really shaken me up. He's had a bad afternoon & G & I are going down to see him in the morning. He's been feeling down & vomiting this afternoon. He told his brother who let me know. I got a Mum version. We're taking a bag.

Aw Cate I help he makes a speedy recovery . He is bound to be feeling rough and Ill after everything he has gone through . You guys travel safe and we are all thinking of you and your family . Big hugs :grouphug:

You're at the hospital now, I expect - it's so good that you have such a strong, close family, that you are close-ish geographically too. Good wishes for his recovery, and for you all to come down gently from the high tensions of these past few days. :grouphug:

Thanks,Amy. He was terrible when we got here & vomiting constantly. They had wanted to put a gastric tube in but he didn't want it. I suggested it might be a good idea to drain away the muck & it was hideously painful, but he has been much improved, but exhausted. We'll sleep in his house tonight & will probably stay again tomorrow night. I hope he's better tomorrow!
I'm eating well.
Love to everyone & thanks for your support.
I got a new phone today. I decided to make the most of a walk. Luckily I remembered my password!

That’s great he listened to you Cate and hopefully as you say he will feel improved tomorrow .what a terrible situation for him .
I hate changing technology because of dreaded passwords . Enjoy new phone .

Eating well, buying a new phone, getting a bit of a walk in - you did really well! Very glad he's so much better. Good sleep to him and you and all. Goodnight! :)

Glad to hear R is improving, hopefully he will have a rapid and complete recovery.

Appendicitis is pretty serious, I lost a cousin to it long ago. He lived on a rural farm, far from a hospital, and just waited too long.

Take care of yourself.

Oh God, so sorry about R! What a shock you must have got. I'm so glad the operation went well. He'll probably be up and down for a couple of weeks, but I'm sure he's happy to have you and G by his side. Take care of yourself Cate. Big hugs.

I'm not really here - just ducking in to wish R. continued recovery, and you and G. to stay well (great about eating well!) and be rested when you can.
