Cate's Diary

Sounds like a wonderful time! Glad you got to celebrate life with family - nothing better than that!!
You are so right. There is nothing better.
Cate welcome home . Glad you celebrating life what a lovely idea
When we get together we almost always end up celebrating. It was sort of a coincidence that we were all in Hobart together & that we went out for a meal together & that we ended up dancing together. It really was a fun night.
I doing a FD today & am very much looking forward to dinner. I really feel I'm back in the swing of 5:2 now. I ate well at the weekend- including the best GF seafood pizza I have ever eaten. Oh, YUM! We had Thai food on Sat night & that was scrumptious too.
I went for a walk around the river today, even though I was hungry & got my steps up to 7,500 & I'll be playing golf again tomorrow.
I didn't weigh myself last Friday on purpose as I didn't want it to interfere with my enjoyment of the weekend. I will weigh after my next FD.

Good call on not weighing in and just enjoying your meal out and family time without letting a number hamper your enjoyment. I have a good feeling that you'll see a number you like more on your next weigh-in.

Thanks, Em. I hope so, but I'm not so hung up on it now.
You sound so much more positive when you're on 5:2!
I feel it too, LaMa. I don't feel so obsessed. 2 days a week of being strict, leaves 5 days a week where I can be more relaxed about my "diet", yet I don't feel like overdoing it on those days. It's so much better for my brain. Spring is just around the corner too & that is my favourite time of the year.
I'm off to golf today with the women. It is meant to get to 13 degrees & be sunny. I'll light the fire as soon as I get there.

Well done cate on all those steps . I'm the same with my Fitbit love seeing lots of steps . And when I achieve all my challenges for every day . It's amazing how much housework can clock up or indeed a 10 min walk before the day starts .

That´s a great feeling! The fitbit explosion always startled me :p
It is LaMa. I love it when I sync to my phone & all the things go boom, especially the active minutes. :D

Every little thing we do adds up. I'm glad I bought a Fitbit, but had been wishing I had bought a basic one, which would be less obtrusive, until I bought a bright, multi-coloured paisley watch band & now I love the look of it.
Haha, love it. How did the weigh-in go?
It didn't, Em. I woke up really hungry yesterday & decided fasting wasn't a great idea, so decided to put it off for a day & will weigh in tomorrow morning, the 1st of September.

I feel really positive about September. It's my favourite month. I'm going to have a really healthy & active month.
"Fasting" today.

Wow, your posting history is so impressive! I love yourattitude and your enthusiasm, and your realistic and healthy approaches.

Thanks Cate!

It may be a very different kind of month here but I love September as well. I like the light and the harvest time and the weather.

I also like the light & the weather in September :)
Today has been a very successful FD so far. With my frittata for dinner, I will still have some cals left for fruit. I have also ridden my exercise bike, vigorously for 23 mins, doing over 11 km & have done some housework. It has rained for most of the day & only got to 10 degrees Celcius. I feel good.

Hey cate! :)

Oh man ... I cannot wait for fall. The chill in the air, the leaves changing, hoodies, lol. The sun is starting to set at about 7:30 now so it's a good sign. But it is still very hot ...

Great job on the biking. I love to bike!

Hey, Jen! :)
It's nice having you back. Our Summers just do not get unbearably hot here in Tasmania thank goodness. I'm glad you're moving to a more democratic neighbourhood. Politics are awful almost everywhere at the moment, except for possibly New Zealand!
I do really love my bike & I think I'll ride it every day in September & do at least 10 squats every day as well. I am keen to have a great month.
