Cate's Diary

Thanks, LaMa. I read some more posts this morning & am now quite sure it's the hydrochlorothiazide. I have an appointment to see my GP on the 5th of December so will go along armed with some more info. Meanwhile, I'm nicking some of G's meds (I know, I know- I shouldn't) as his meds are the same, but minus the Hydro & I'll halve the dose in effect by taking half one of his & half one of mine until I see her. I hope I don't have a battle with her to change them. Meanwhile, I joined the forum where I found the stories & asked if anyone has had any luck with other alternatives. I'll keep looking. I do have to take something to get my BP down as I have an enlarged ascending aorta.

I'm feeling pretty good today. Another day at home & I will feel even better!

I hate medication side effects. My doc once prescribed me prochlorperazine because I was getting severe dizzy spells. It did do the trick but I read they also use it to treat schizophrenia. Now the voices have gone too and I'm lonely! :p

Glad you're feeling a bit better Cate :)

Haha. Funny one Stan! :D Thanks. I'm glad I'm feeling better too. I just changed my GP ap't to next Tuesday & went for a walk down to get the mail. It's a 1 km walk & it's hot. I'm still not quite 100%, but am getting there.

Please don´t change your meds without specific guidance from a medical professional. It can always be dangerous but with your enlarged aorta it REALLY doesn´t pay to take risks. Especially now you´ve been able to move the appointment. We want you to be well.

Sorry to hear it's taking a bit of time to recover from your illness. It's good to have a rest at the same time. Annoying that your weight is stalled but I'm sure that's only temporary.

When it rains, it pours. Very sorry to read you are still not feeling well. I truly hope things work out at your Dr appointment and you can find some meds that are not as nasty on the SE. I've been through that as well and it can really suck. sending healing vibes and prayers your way!

Thanks, Liz. It feels to back to "normal" again :D
It is raining here & it has made everything so fresh. I can hear the veggies singing :)
