Hi LaMa. The only food we ate that night was 6 oysters each. They were disappointing. We had some of the salmon last night with D & the GK's. It was delicious. The prawns will get consumed on Christmas night. I love Tiger or king prawns. We both hate over-eating so that rarely happens.
Hi Hana. Yes, we don't usually eat turkey. We love seafood. If you have Christmas lunch anywhere else there is almost always Turkey, but I'm not a big fan. Our son, D, does not eat poultry at all. He loves chooks. We gave him & the kids a chook pen & 3 laying chooks a few years ago for Christmas. He rang last night, upset, as he had accidentally run one over. The kids were in the car with him. He told me he really loves those chooks. Poor D!
Hi Emilyrose. You made me laugh! It was a bit like that

Hi Nyzeh. I love when I have had a big day & can just chill. I love getting back home, knowing I don't have to go anywhere for the rest of the day.

I had a good day with the GK's yesterday. A. did some gardening for me. It is worth a try getting him to do some work to earn some money, but it would be easier doing it myself. He's a lovely kid & he needs to earn some money. He is stymied until he is 18 when he can legally change his name, get a tax file number etc. His mother will just not get around to it. Poor kid.
3 days from now G will be in hospital about to have his op. Eek.
We are going out to the golf club this afternoon to open the bar for a small group. It will be the last thing we do out there for quite a while. The barmaid is quitting after C'mas as she has been offered a full-time job where she is working now. I'm happy for her. It will be hard to find someone to do what she does at the club. I entertained the thought for about 2 minutes only. No way.
I had better try to catch up with diaries, xoxo Cate
