The forum is so active at the moment & I almost forgot to update my diary!
I played golf yesterday in a 4 person Ambrose with G & 2 others. We won the event, but I can't take much credit for it. I wasn't feeling great (very short of breath still). I enjoyed the day though. It's great to get out there & play 18 holes of golf & Ambroses are good because you get to play every shot, instead of alternating shots, like in Foursomes. The rest of our team, comprised a short handicapped big hitter & a 14 year old up & coming really good golfer. They were good company & good to watch. I chipped really well & chipped in off the green to give us a birdie on one hole. We had 8 birdie's & 10 pars.
I am back counting calories again as I think I need the discipline. I am inclined to eat less if I'm logging food as it makes me think twice about it. I had gained .5kg in 6 weeks of not logging.
I think we might start planning our next trip. Turkey & Greece seem to be the firm favourites.
We have enough money to either-
have a good holiday or
buy a car or
help our sons out again.
The holiday would do us more good & I don't know how many more we will be able to have, but...
a second car, especially a ute, would be more practical, but...
helping our sons out again would probably get them both out of debt, but.....
probably teach them nothing about being better with their money.
Also if we get sick & the waiting list on public health is too long, then having some back-up would give us the option of paying instead of waiting.
Being practical is just a bit boring.
Just thinking out loud really.
I had better do something, instead of sitting here jibbering away!
Cheers, Cate
We'll just sit on it for a while.
