Thank you all so much!I got fairly emotional reading your comments. We both feel absolutely exhausted! The head honcho said he's OK to go home tomorrow, but must be very careful & basically do nothing at all. He won't be able to go back to work until Dec. at the earliest. We are so relieved & so is he, of course. It has been so emotionally draining for all of us. We have been feeding his chooks & fish since we got back & today we went down & I tidied his house up some more & changed his bedding & made it safer for him. He wants to stay in his own home, rather than up here with us. Last Wednesday was his 34th birthday & was also the day of settlement with his ex, so the house is now officially his. We'll go down there each day & his GF will stay with him each night. I'm picking up his kids on Friday afternoon & taking them back to their mother on Sat afternoon so he will get to see them.
I weighed this morning & have put on 2kgs since we went to Darwin. I am abstaining from alcohol until the end of November & I'm sure that will help. We drank way too much in Darwin. It was so hot that it didn't seem to touch the sides. I'm not at all worried about my weight. I can fix that. I really feel like a rest from alcohol!
I am driving into Launceston again in the morning to bring him home. Thank you all for showing me so much love & support. I'm sorry I'm too tired to address each of you separately. I may not have time tomorrow to be in here, but should be able to Thursday (which is our 39th wedding anniversary). It will be the 1st without wine!
Lots of love to you all, xoxo Cate
