Sounds good! How is the hunger going? are you getting used to cutting back?
The crackers sound really good. Packed with protein...maybe I'll give them a go...I'm not very ambitious in the kitchen though!

I love that you sent D a video of you snapping a cracker. That's just the kind of thing we would do :)

Liza- I am definitely adjusting to fewer calories. G just suggested he make some wontons & I declined as I'm too full. We have had 6 crackers with cheese, followed by raw celery, carrot & snow peas.
I am not faintly ambitious in the kitchen. These are a big success! Next time I'll add hemp seeds. I forgot this time.
LaMa- He thought it was really funny! We all tease one another, but not too much.

Cate I love the look of those crackers . I have most of those ingredients to use in my nut bars. I will try them soon.
Glad you are adjusting to fewer calories .

The crackers are really good, Petal. I'll start experimenting with flavours. I didn't have any flaxseed, only put in a small amount of chia & a little more of everything else.
G & I got wood yesterday, I went for a walk as well. We had a good day. It wasn't too hot. I'm feeling pretty good, but have low-level anxiety about the fires. None of them is close to us, but I can't help feeling for those people whose lives & livelihoods are being devastated.

2/1/2020 (yesterday)-
BF-Yoghurt, berries, almond meal 320
L- Ham & veg 285
Weis mango bar
Glass red wine
D- My crackers, cheese, raw celery, carrot, snow peas 209
Baked apple, 1 scoop soy ice cream 143
1 orange
2 hot lemon drinks
1378 cals
Steps 5514 (3.36km)

Thanks Cate, for the recipe. I'll give it a try, tweaking for what ingredients I haven't got. I like the sound of the snap - I think one of the things vegos miss is texture - things to chew on or crunch on.

I notice you have hot lemon drinks a lot. I find lemon water really helps me with hunger. At night I usually finish off with a lemon ginger tea. Also seems to help...Glad you are getting used to the fewer calories!

Amy- my first batch was soggy & sad. These are super crunchy.
Liza- I used to get a lot of chest infections & started having a hot lemon drink or 2 at night & haven't had one for years.

oh wow--what a good little remedy. I know i drink extra lemon drinks when I have a cold so that makes sense!

Liza & Em- The hot lemon drinks may not have warded off the chest infections & it may just be a coincidence, but I'm sticking with them as I love them. I have the juice of half a lemon in each & one teaspoon of honey.
Tru- Thanks. I'll be staying inside again today as I woke up with Asthma. It's very smoky here. I really try not to dwell on how low some people go or I would go mad. The people who deliberately light fires, or steal from fire stations or charities I just don't want to even give them any thought at all. They don't deserve my thoughts. One of the "deliberately lit" fires here was campers lighting a campfire on a total fire ban day. It's bloody stupid & irresponsible, but not as bad as someone setting a fire with the aim of starting a bushfire. I am trying not to feel overwhelmed by the fires, but today I think I'll pull out my fire plan & get my stuff together in readiness, just in case. I think we all feel better with a plan.

I'm feeling very positive about getting back to my happy weight this year.

@Cate , @Trusylver - about deliberately lit fires - Did you ever read Ash Road, by Ivan Southall? It's a kids' book, and really, really good about a fire accidentally started by teenage campers, and the ordinary people reactions (ie not firefighters). Very heart-stopping and wrenching, as I remember it. I would think it would permanently educate twelve-year-olds (ish) about never, never doing anything that might start a fire.

Cate - I totally agree about lemon drinks - every house should have a lemon tree! Great about your being a kilo down already! And hope the smoke clears a bit soon.

I think these teens knew exactly what they were doing, they scampered on bikes when people arrived to put the fire out, it was next to the historic steam train line, the steam train stopped so the fire crew that follows the train could deal with it while waiting for one of the local brigades to get there and finish the job. Part of the problem is a lot of parents don't care what their teens get up to, and if they do, they have no control anyway.

Thanks, Em, Rob, Amy & Tru.
I did 5 km on my bike, but the smoke has cleared so I'm going to go for a walk soon. I need to charge my phone first. I don't walk without it- both for safety, but also for taking photos.
