Cate's Diary

So great you have shared interests in traveling and in life! My husband and I are pretty different, but we also share loving to travel.

You are in good company with your weight. I started losing weight because I had never been this fat, and just couldn't take it looking and feeling like this any longer. I know you will find a good solution because you are so determined. That's just how I feel. And I have a ton to lose, plus I want to maintain my weight, so even though you are way more knowledgeable about weight loss, I plan to stick with you for as long as you need company doing this!!

Maybe you should make yourself a big note where you can see it if you don't remember call your exercise physio person today!

I heard us in the wasteful nations gain an average of 3 pounds a year. Those pounds really add up over the years. That´s one of the reasons I stick around here, even though I´ve been stationary (and sometimes regained) for long periods of time: at least this way I never give up for more than a couple of days. I´m sure for myself that I´d be much heavier if I hadn´t had my succession of diaries here.

Thanks, Marsia. I think I will always need company doing this xoxo
I had rung the exercise physio, but apparently, they post out a letter with an appointment time, so I just have to wait.
I have been less hungry than usual today. Usually, after lunch, I feel like some fruit, but today I didn't. Once again, I remember this happened when I was doing 5:2 regularly.
Oh, LaMa. I'm sure I would weigh more too if I wasn't typing in my diary.

I can see how we in the western world put on 3lb a year if not more. Everywhere we go we are conditioned to eat . The temptation is everywhere and all for what , to make companies richer . My trip to the supermarket is a constant battle and inner voices fighting .

But like you say Cate typing here helps . It’s nicer to say well I didn’t buy the bag of sweets . It makes you think when you have to account to yourself

Hope your appointment comes soon

Thanks, Petal. The Western world revolves around eating. Typing in here really does help me a lot. It's my therapy. I also like that we are now friends on MFP :)
Hi, Jen. By the sound of it, you are doing really well without the squats. I have only been back into doing them for a couple of weeks & had forgotten how much I like doing them. 5:2 worked for me, the first time I did it & I followed it for about 6 months or more. I am really going to give it a good crack.
I'm going with G today to his 8-ball. He tried out for the State team & is only 2 games out of making the final 20. He thought he didn't stand a chance of making it, so I thought I would go & support him this time. I always did, until I got sick in March. I really, really hope that I don't get affected by fragrance. I also have my new glasses to pick up. I'm a little nervous about them as they are a bit out there.

Pictures of the glasses, please! If you´re going to wear paisley face masks you might as well have some cool eyewear to go with it :) Best of luck for G and you today.

Cate have a great day and best of luck to G in his 8 ball . Yeah happy we friends on MFP . I'm a bit anxious about trying to keep up with all the logging and everything but I think logging my food and keeping my diary here is going to be my top priority for me now for a while .

OK- my sister has been nagging me for a photo of me in my mask & also when I get my new glasses, so I'm here at the 8 ball & a friend is here, who just happens to be a great photographer. I went over & asked him for a favour & photos are to come :D

Yesterday-
G didn't make the final 20, but enjoyed himself. We stayed & watched the playoffs & then they started on the actual finals. We left at about 6 pm & had dinner when we got home- lamb casserole & lots of veggies, followed by a small fruit platter- 1/2 an orange, 1/2 a kiwi fruit & some red grapes. I had eaten a small Chinese meal at a food hall for lunch. No snacking at all for the day. Breakfast had been oat toast, lean bacon & 2 eggs. I did lots of walking& stayed under my calories, which I have upped to be closer to my TDEE on non-FD's.
Today-
BF- organic oats, 1 banana, 1 tspn honey, 1 tspn hemp hearts & 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk.
We are going to go back towards lunchtime & watch the last of the games & any playoffs to see who makes the state team.
I enjoyed most of yesterday &, other than some itching & Asthma last night I didn't suffer badly from exposure to fragrance. I wore my mask when I went into a pharmacy & I sucked on the lozenges that minimise my reactions.

So glad to hear you didn´t have any bad reactions! Being able to socialize (much as I hate it sometimes) is so important.

Cate
Glad you had a lovely day . And sounds like another one in the making.
Food all sounds really good and tasty .

It's great the fragrances are not bothering you as much . Let's hope you build up an immunity. I often think of you and it . Yesterday I was very aware our clothes smelled strongly from the laundry liquid. Do you use particular stuff now when cleaning g and washing etc

Sounds like a really nice day. Sorry to hear you have to go to such measures to avoid asthma and itching! Do you think there are foods which will help for not being so allergic?

Thanks, LaMa. It does feel better being able to socialise. I was exhausted after yesterday though, so maybe should have stuck with one day.

Thanks, Petal. We do eat very well. It's not possible to build up an immunity to fragrance I'm afraid, & avoidance is the only answer. At home I use fragrance-free laundry liquid & washing up liquid, vinegar for fabric softener, fragrance-free soap, handwash, shampoo & conditioner, bicarb soda & vinegar for cleaning & nothing in my house is fragranced.

Hi, Marsia. Unfortunately, I just do have to try hard to minimise my exposure. The mask makes some things doable, so is worth it. I don't have any food allergies as such. Capsicum (bell peppers) I avoid as it makes my feet burn & I don't eat wheat.
Today-
G & I took our rubbish, & then went all over the golf course & sorted through all their rubbish & then we took it all to the tip. I actually feel really tired today. We have just eaten a delicious chicken salad for lunch. It had everything in it really- some cold, cooked chicken, cabbage, lettuce, fresh herbs, celery, tomato, avocado, snow peas, parmesan cheese, pomegranate seeds, hemp seeds, walnuts, shallots, anchovies....I think that's all. It was delicious. We had some coleslaw dressing with it, mixed up with Balsamic Vinaigrette.
