Cate's Diary

LaMa- I have never been good about being hungry. NEVER. I seem to be coping well with this because it's working. I have also noticed that my world has not come to an end when I'm hungry. I'm confident that I'll get better at coping as I go. I love that you harrumphed! Cute!

Vee- thank you! That means a lot to me. I couldn't imagine me being a big fan either, but I am so happy to be feeling slim again! I'm in need of some new clothes anyway [emoji106] as I haven't bought many for a few years. I'll wait a while though! I am trying to put off dinner for another half hour [emoji15]
I can do it! Looking forward to having lunch in town tomorrow! Thai or Vietnamese I think!

Hello my lovely.

I also call it 'getting up at the crack of sparrows fart' maybe you picked it up from me lol.

Keep going with the 5:2 I know so many people who have had amazing results with it. You've made me think that I'll try it too.

Xoxo

Hi Butterfly & Hun, I will enjoy lunch today & I will keep going with 5:2. It's good to not have to worry much on the 5 days where you eat to TDEE, but there is no way I over-eat on those days as I just don't want to waste my fasting days(if you know what I mean). A lot of Australian slang is Cockney slang. You have combined 2 sayings sweets- "crack of dawn" & "sparrow's fart" That's actually even funnier!

Off to town soon. After a FD I'm usually not very hungry, but we'll have lunch somewhere & I'll have something lightm maybe an Asian stir-fry or salad.
Weight the same, but I think that's the pattern. I have weighed less after my 2nd FD of the week, for the last 2 weeks.
I'm feeling sure that I am going to continue down after I lose the rest of my 6kg. I know it will slow soon, but I think I'll get those new scales today as I will see it come down even if it's only a teensy bit :blush5:
Bye for now, xoC

Awesome stuff Cate! I am so happy this is working so well for you, it must be the best feeling! My latest tea craze is green tea with coconut. Mum bought it and made me a cup, I didn't think I'd like it... boy was I wrong. Love it! Another one to try ;)

enjoy your lunch - do you get 'free rein' of your calories on the 5 days? Or is it still 1200/1500?

Well... off to the shops for ginger; I´m going to try a 500 kcal day, hoping it´ll stop my cravings too :) Did I mention that I love the different versions of english cropping up in this forum? Have a lovely day dear!

That's the trouble with Tapatalk. It hadn't shown the 2 new posts!
BB- green tea & coconut sounds nice! Interesting, but nice. Yum! On non fast days You have your TDEE( can't remember what it stands for) but it's maintenance cals anyway basically. I chose 1600 cals to be safe. I just ate a really healthy vegan salad but followed it with a coconut cheesecake(coincidence). It was yummy! I'm now having a bubbling with G. I like 5:2 because on non fasting days I really don't feel like I'm dieting [emoji2]
LaMa- have had a nice day including the above lunch. It's nicer, now I'm home with a glass of bubbly! I love the English language differences too!
When I do the 500 cal day I make sure it's only lean protein, veg & just a little fruit. Hard-boiled eggs are great. You can message me any time if you have any questions xoC

That's a bubbly btw, not a bubbling, closely followed by a Rose. Whoops! Liking the look of the new scales. I'll weigh on the old on Friday & then the new. I forgot to say, but I have to wear a belt again [emoji2][emoji106] ....& maybe I'm a little bit "tipsy"- a good, old-fashioned word [emoji15][emoji322]

:D Yay for tipsy posting! We had a game (?) called "tipsy meter" on the computer when I was a young child and for some reason I loved playing around with the settings even though I didn´t really know what they meant. Which is why "tipsy" is a happy word for me (shouldn´t posting while slightly drunk make you typsy though?).

But most of all: yay for loose trousers!

Thanks folks. Hmm maybe tipsy posting should be typsy posting.....I'm going to hang out for Friday to weigh myself on the new scales. I am really just not going to risk sabotaging myself by weighing & maybe finding I had re-gained a little before my next fast, which will be Thursday. I so feel so much lighter.
I had shopped yesterday for a new top but couldn't find anything & today I bought 3 tops in the Op shop. I really like them too. One is a brand new golf top still with the tags on. It's Navy & hot pink & will match my navy capris & hot pink visor that I bought yesterday. The 3 of them cost be a total of $14.75 :D
I am going out to G's 8-ball final tonight & playing golf tomorrow so may not get back in here for 24 hrs, xoxo Cate

Just popping in quickly to tell you something incredible that happened last night.
As I was pulling off the highway to go into a friend's driveway to pick him up I had to swerve to avoid a very small platypus. Yes, a Platypus! On the road! I went around him & G said he did an about turn & headed back hopefully towards the little creek that runs past our friend's house. WOW. It was a once in a lifetime experience I think. http://www.parks.tas.gov.au/?base=4789
Amazing
xoxo Cate.
Ps G & D's team won their final & are now in the GF :D
off to golf now!

Oh my gosh, that is amazing! I don't think I knew where platypus lived until today. Near your friend's house, I guess :)

Platypus are such wondrous creatures; I got excited when I first saw a beaver in the Danube, I think I´d flip if I saw a platypus! Especially if it were in the Danube ;)

I'm still amazed by the Platypus, mainly beause it was on a road. They are really shy creatures & you don't see them often in creeks & rivers. It was just so weird, but also wonderful.

My golf today, on the other hand was truly awful. I don't think I could play much worse golf if I actually tried.

I decided today that I must be truly weird because how well I play, or how badly really still doesn't ruin my enjoyment of the day. I had a lovely day! I exercised much more than I would have if I had played well. I was in good company, there were no hassles....all good.

About to have slow-cooked lamb shank casserole with lots of veg- YUM & tomorrow is FD.
Life is good xoxoCate

Ohhh wow, I can't believe you saw a platypus!!!!!!! I don't think I've ever come across any exciting wildlife in Aus... Saw a hedgehog in NZ which I thought was pretty amazing. I just get excited when I see a possum!
