Cate's Diary

Ah...scale. It's funny, but I didn't even think of that. The woman's phone number is disconnected, so I'll try to find her mobile number tomorrow. I do really hurt! I soooo need a massage!

Thank you hun xoxo Still in pain, but not quite as bad. I'll see if I can get her phone number today.
Hi IsabellaCami & thank you too. Welcome to the forum. Have you started a diary yet? It's lovely to have a place that you can just be yourself, have lovely visitors & share your life. We all appreciate the support we get & it's a great community. Cheers, Cate

Weighed this morning & no loss, but also no gain. The way my weight has been this year I'm taking that as a win! 5.5kg to go still, but feeling lighter.

I'm feeling pretty good really. xoxo Cate

I'm kinda like that right now. As long as I'm not gonna gain then it's good. I'm really struggling to loose these days.
Glad the pain is easing Hun. Xoxo

Thanks LaMa & Kate [emoji171]
The not in as much pain no longer applies I'm afraid- my neck, shoulders, lower right back & right hip etc are really, really painful. I am limping badly too.The masseuse has just had her carpal tunnel operated on so I'll have to find someone else! [emoji15]
Thanks for the love xoC

My sister is a massage therapist and the kind that tortures you until you want to cry but she gets the job done. I hope you find capable hands! And Yay on no gain! I'm the same also today.

Hi KP. Oooh...I need your sister here, right now!!! PLEASE!
No gain is good. I was getting heartily sick of that yo yo!
In a bit of a hurry this morning as the younger GK's are about to arrive. I have them today & tonight.
Much love, xoxo Cate

cate, If I lived in Tassie I would help you out, but the travel from QLD is a bit far lol, although my family takes advantage of having a massage therapist in the house lol

ps. most massage therapist don't usually like the term masseuse because it bring up the wrong image of the industry, massage therapists are fully trained to help with your muscular problems, a masseuse works in an entirely different industry.

That's funny Tru. I don't need one of those masseuses :blush5:
I have been for a 40 min bush-walk with the GK's & that was good. When we got back I had a leech on the back of my hand. Luckily it hadn't attached itself to me & I was able to flick it off & then salted it to death. Ugh. I didn't over-react though which was good.
I'm having a lovely time with the GK's(they're 9 & 7).

I have decided I am going to try I.F. (5/2) & I may start tomorrow. I watched the Michael Mosley series on TV about 6 months ago & he convinced me that it was a good thing & I really feel like giving it a go. G said he would do it too.

I'll pop back tonight maybe when the kids are in bed. They go to bed at 7.30pm which is great. They are great kids :beating:

Sorry to hear you're in pain again, I really hope you find a way to ease it! At least your grandkids will distract you thoroughly :) Enjoy!

I'm pretty sure I just need a really deep back massage but it is very painful! Thanks LaMa xoC

Sorry your in pain! That must be awful!
Glad at least the scale isn't showing any gain! I need to keep my scale from doing anymore up jumps!
Ew, leeches! I remember getting a leech on me when I was younger while swimming! So gross!

Sorry to hear you in pain lovely Cate! As a massage therapist I would STRONGLY recommend rest, very gentle stretching (go for good walk first, never stretch a 'cold' muscle), and apply arnica/comfrey gel to sore areas. And find a GOOD massage therapist - one that will look at your biomechanics and take into consideration your conformation. One that will look at your shoes to see if there are secondary issues resulting from your feet. One that will palpate you to feel for evenness, muscle damage, and the three T's.

Look after yourself Cate :)

Thank you BlueBean. You're very sweet. I am doing all the wrong things! I really, really need to see a good massage therapist. I feel that my whole body is out of whack!
I bought "The Fast Diet" today & am starting tomorrow. Why not?

Good luck on your IF. I sorta do IF but more like the 16:8, and I don't really do it purposefully it's just roughly how I like to eat.

Tru-I will just do some gentle exercise until I get my back sorted.
Mystic- I have started & am going to do the 5:2 & only have 500cals on my 2 days, with a break between the days.
I didn't weigh today, but kept under my cals Sat & Sun & walked quite a bit. I might ride my bike a bit today. I'll see how I feel with the fasting.

Some more of our trees went yesterday & our view of the mountains is getting more spectacular every time. One more big one is meant to be going today. A friend comes out & falls them & G & he cut the wood up & share it. It's a good arrangement for everyone & that way we can be selective & it doesn't cost us anything to have them felled.

Day 1 of IF :D I can do this!
xoxo Cate
