Cate's Diary

Not surprised you´re heavier today; I always retain water when my body is dealing with allergies. Otherwise I´m afraid I don´t have anything useful to say. :grouphug:

I'm sorry you're having a hard time with those scents! I agree that it's likely water retention from your allergies and that's why the scale was up. HOpefully it should drop right back down!

Thank you LaMa & Mystic. I ate some chocolate this afternoon(4 little squares) because I was so cranky about gaining instead of losing. It makes no sense!
I'll still be under 1400 cals for the day though, but not a good idea.
Day 8 of no wine!

Scales suck! *stayoutofmydiaryifyoudon'twannacry*

Hope you are on the mend, and yes to bread!!! I want something bready and cheese gooey so bad but I won't. I'm on day three of no booze...this is hard SO HARD, especially since I have a liquor cabinet full of it and bottles of white in the chiller.

Thanks Q. I'm surprised by the fact that I am not missing my vino! Well done on your loss- going so well!
Thanks KP- now I'll call you a wench! You really made me laugh though!! :D Well done, you! We have a 15 dozen wine rack & a bar (a dedicated games room, with fully stocked bar/snooker table etc), cold wine, including champagne in the fridge, cider etc. Guess what? It's not even talking to me yet! (The nougat did though, but it's gone!)

Yes, I ate nougat & some dark chocolate- not much, but it was a f#*~! it moment for a while & then I stopped! No serious damage. The nougat is gone.

Today is day 9 of no vino!
1425 cals yesterday.
6kg to go.
I am officially a yo yo.

Stopping mid binge is a huge win and something I am often not able to do! So I think it will get easier for you to not start them or to at least make them almost negligible since you stop before much damage is done :)

That's some serious booze, I just put your house on my bucket list LOL! I'd have a hard time staying away from Nougat also, especially if it was my mom's homemade (she's a chocolateir/candy maker and makes all her chocolates and candies from scratch by hand with organic and fair trade ingredients). She's also a witch doctor, lol...just needed to throw that in there because if you ever think I'm crazy you can assure yourself its her fault for experimentation...HAAAA!

KP- you & I would get into some serious trouble I reckon! Homemade nougat? .....Hums loudly, trying not to think about how good that would be!
Mystic- thank you. I'm glad I stopped myself too. Now, if only I could just make some inroads into that 6kg!
Feeling good day. Did an hour's wood carting, sunny day, GK's for early tea tonight....[emoji106]

Thank you my sweet WLF friend [emoji8]
Also rode my bike- did 7kg.
Watched G have a cider with a friend, who came up & chopped wood & then red wine with D, our older son.
A good day!

Successful day, for sure! Stay busy and give yourself a couple of pats on the back (one for each drink you had to miss).

Thanks Q & Oaks! :)

Today is Day 11 of no vino.
Still with 6kg to go!
Sunny day.
Feeling good.

Had some nightmares last night, including one where I was being chased by a zombie-like woman who I kept hitting on the end with a hockey stick or whatever I could get my hands on, but who kept coming & I kept hitting her, she'd fall down & then keep coming etc & then I woke up- with a thumping headache!

Have had hay-fever badly the last few days. I took an extra anti-histamine this morning.

We are going to Hobart tomorrow morning, but I'll check-in on my phone. We will be taking a car load of wood to R, our younger son & will be going to the footy tomorrow afternoon to watch our beloved Saints play the Kangas (St Kilda vs Nth Melbourne-AFL Football). When R knocks off work we'll go to a fantastic Italian restaurant where I will have gluten-free pizza. It is delicious & the best I have ever had! I am going to continue with the not drinking if I can. Sunday we'll go to the Farmers Market with R & I am going to stock up with free-range, organic produce to bring home. There is a sensational "grocers" in Hobart called Hill St Grocer & it stocks the best stuff! Organic chicken that is inexpensive & delicious. I am looking forward to seeing R, but it is always tinged with some nerves. I hope he is not too down.
He has a few appointments at last to see a Psych, but they are not until Sept. He left it this long to try to make an appointment & now is disappointed that he has to wait. Hopefully we'll cheer him up a bit.

We have a fair bit to do today so I had better skedaddle.
Love to all, xoxo Cate

Thanks LaMa & Mystic! xoxo
We're getting up at 6am & plan on leaving at 7 to get to Hobart in time to unload the wood & drive R to work at 11am. Will try to stay awake until bed-time so that I sleep well!
