Cate's Diary

Went over my calories yesterday with no exercise, but would have still been in deficit. We had a lovely time with our older son. We had a lovely curry lunch together & a couple of red wines & then he and my LH played a few games of snooker, we had a GF dessert (lemon & almond cake with maple syrup & some Soy ice cream)& we read. Last night we watched the Eurovision final after watching the semis the night before. I love the kitsch & spectacle that is Eorovision. Our Jessica Mauboy was wonderful. It is great that she was invited as a guest to Eurovision, because of Australia's fascination with it. What a win to Conchita from Austria. That song was AMAZING & it says something of how world has evolved.
My new lifestyle plan-
1450 calories per day.
No wine during the week, until I get to my GW.
2 glasses of wine max per day at the week-end.
Exercise 30 mins min at least 6 days a week.
Golf once a week minimum.

Bye for now & love to all xoxo Cate

Having an excellent day! It's 4.10pm &-
Exercise- 150 mins wood gathering =850 cals.
Calories consumed so far- 715.
I am going to have a delicious dinner of hare & vegetable soup & probably a toasted sandwich as well. YUM.
Feeling very good!
xoxo Cate.

I love Eurovision! Surprised that Austria won but only because I wanted them to win and whoever I support usually comes about 15th haha! Obviously supported the UK too but we're really just aiming to not come last and even if we do come last we're not too bothered as long as we don't get nul points. And our commentator got showered in confetti!

Hi Joeybear- Wasn't it wonderful! Eurovision is over the top & I think that's why I like it so much! :D Look at you- only 7lbs to go. Nice :) Cheers, Cate

There are few things more alien to American eyes/ears than the Eurovision song contest. These guys didn't make it from the Estonian qualifying rounds last year, and I'm not sure how:

An American friend posted a link on facebook explaining Eurovision to non-Europeans and I just ended up laughing the whole way through reading it. Basically it's amazing how rubbish it is! The best year was when Lordi won.

Unfortunately it's not really 7lbs to go, that's when I'll enter the healthy weight range for my height (according to BMI charts which I think are ridiculous), but I'm not setting myself a final goal weight after that, I'll just wait and see how I feel because there's about a 25lb difference from the top of the healthy weight range to the bottom of it.

Hi Cate, thanks for visiting me in my diary. I´ve been trying to read yours but even skipping through it will take a long time! Good reading though, it´ll keep me from mischief when the day is long and chocolate nearby. All the best with your health, LaMaria

Thanks folks for visiting my diary. I'm off to golf today. It's meant to be a nice day, but it's very foggy right now. Love to all xoxo Cate

Cate you are wonderful :) just thought I'd tell you that!

Hope you're feeling well and enjoying your golf :)

Yep, Eurovision is mental, I do watch it when I get the chance, I was away this weekend, but I feel so embarrassed for them sometimes........it's so bad it's good lol

Much love mum xoxoxoxoxoxo

Kate- I love you sweetie. You make me feel wonderful......every time! I had a great day! I feel really good & I won B grade(by 4 shots). I had a lovely sociable day & won my 1st voucher. No-one realised it was my 1st, but I told them & they all clapped. A few of them had seen one of my shots & had been talking about it. It felt so good sweetie, it really did! I don't care about winning, but I love playing well & I'm getting better. I am finding my way among the women & feeling more confident & less anxious. I am also starting to help out a little more as I gain confidence. It's all good! I got around the 18 holes today without much trouble. One of the women turned 87 yesterday! Amazing! 87 & playing golf still. She's lovely. I gave her a small bottle of Muscat, that we blend ourselves. I'll tell you about that another day. It's a part of my upbringing.
I'm on a bit of a high tonight, after my lovely day!
Eurovision is sooo funny! It is mental & you're right. It is so bad it's wonderful!
Lots & lots of love, xoxo Cate

My internet is down, so just saying hi from my mobile. Slept like a log after golf yesterday & very happy that I have broken the Ladies golf drought & won a voucher! We will probably go get wood again today. Love to all xoxo Cate

How is your new eating plan going?very pleased you're feeling confident around your golf friends!!!
I was away,i explain on my diary.
Lots of love!

Hi Jess, I hadn't read any diaries at all as my PC internet has been almost non-existent! My eating plan is going well. My drinking plan unfortunately is not going so well. I'll have to stop drinking wine if I seriously want to lose weight! Had a very pleasant, but also very lazy day today, with healthy food, red wine & NO exercise. It was lovely & I'll make up for it tomorrow with 18 holes of golf! xoxo Cate

If you have been having a couple of glasss every night or most of the time, its a difficult habbit to break.are you sure you can't cut out something rlse in your daily eating and keep a glass of wine?

Sweetie.....I wish! I know that I should cut it out to lose weight, but I'm aftraid I'll have to work my way up to that one! I would like to give up for a month. Maybe June.....
I had better get moving. We are meant to be playing golf together today, in a 4 person Ambrose, with another couple & it is bucketing down!! GO AWAY RAIN!!!!!
Lots of love xoxo Cate

Alcohol: the health risk people will keep pushing on you. Then they will pretend you´re impolite when you say "no". Or think you´re an alcoholic! We´re weird like that, but you´ll do it. Enjoy your golfround,
LaMaria

Oh, don't get me wrong La Maria. I love my wine. I know I'm not alcoholic, but if that changed I would stop drinking immediately. No-one is talking me into drinking. I just like it. I like the taste, I like how I feel after a couple of glasses of wine, I like sharing wine, especially with the ones I love.
I had a lovely day, because I figure if I am out there, playing 18 holes of golf, pushing my bag & buggy around 18 holes of golf I am doing well. I don't care much about winning, but it is even better when I play well, I just love the fact that I'm doing it. SOO many people are doing very little. I got rained on at least 6 times, but it was good, all good!
Tomorrow is my birthday. This time last year we were in Paris! I was about to turn 60! Tomorrow, it's 61 & we are heading off somewhere & will have lunch somewhere. Sure, it's not Paris, but we will enjoy it. You are too long dead!
Much love to each & everyone who ever reads my diary xoxo Cate.

In that case you surround yourself with good people, which is always a good thing. Best of luck and lots of fun tomorrow!
