You girls are too funny! Is it universal that you loose up top before anywhere else? And is it also universal that you gain in the butt and thighs before gaining anywhere else? Ugh!

Hey TotallyScrappy! I don't know if it is universal. But when my mother lost a lot of weight, she lost up top first. Then when she started gaining it all back, up top didn't really come back that it had been before. :rolleyes:

Hey ya Peanutty Buddy! I didn't make it up too late last night- feel asleep on the couch at 7 or so :rolleyes: Guess the early start to the day got to me before I realized it! LOL Hubby actually woke me up and sent me to bed - the last time I fell asleep on the couch he LEFT ME THERE and I woke up with a danged headache from sleeping sitting against the arm of the couche! LOL dummy :rolleyes:

cottage cheese (got up at 5 and not really hungry)


today MUST be a good day as tomorrow is weigh in. I may try to get about 1100 calories today and really want to get in my walk (forgot my sneakers at work so will either have to wear my heavy boots or the boys shoes - yes they fit its so sad *head shakes*). Its supposed to rain here today so will have to go early or in the rain..... better get my butt movin' huh? :)
 
Hi Elizeb3th :D It IS an AWESOME DAY!!! LOL

I just got back from walking 4 miles and oh what a walk!!!!! Spring is coming by land, by lake and by sky!!!! The pussy willows are out, the cardinals were whistling at me, I saw a large downy woodpecker (and a tiny woodpecker - have to look that one up), I found juniper berries to put in my stew later today, and the geese were flyin' back!!! It was.... gracious, almost euphoric!!! LOL If my knee didn't bother me so badly I could've walked another 4 but since I was wearing the boys' shoes (clod hoppers that they are) I didn't have my "normal" stride. Oh well, maybe later I can tackle it again. :D

I have some pics of the hill I walk and I will try to post them for a time. It don't look like much ... that is until you see the view from the top and see what you actually hauled yourself up! LOL Off to get the stew (plus juniper berries - mmmmmmmm) for lunch going :D Well, make that dinner!
 
Mornin' Peanutty Buddy! :D I am rarin' to go on this fine cold kinda spring day :D Come on lazy bones whatcha doin' juss gettin' up, huh?? LOL I even started dinner in the crockpot already, jeesh! LOL

Goin' on a second walk with hubby soon :D this time in the woods and gotta wear my boots ( really mucky :rolleyes: )

yeah, I couldnt believe my H actually went hiking and all with us yesterday at the dam. It was great! Theres a steep rocky hill we all have to climb at the end of the walk, and he HAD to make a contest of it...I of course, came in last...(WHY does he do this juvenile crap?) and ALL I could think was, what the hell? Everything is a stupid competition with him! So I just said, Wow~hunny, all that walking you do really keeps you in shape!*sarcasm*..He was so winded it wasnt even funny...He started whining towards the end of the walk that he was ready to go home, and I just told him its so pretty Im not ready yet! He says "but weve been here for a couple hours at LEAST!" My youngest son says, no, only about thirty minutes...hehe...Hey I love him, but this competitive crap needs to GO!

Its probably one of the reasons I wont take up golfing with him...if I was to actually be any GOOD at it, he'd probably lose his mind!
 
Hi Kate :D I would've smacked him when I could finally reach him! LOL Then I would've laughed my butt off when he complained with all his huffing and puffing! LOL Gotta love your son!!! Thats too funny!!! :D

Well, we had to cancel our second walk since it started to pour just as we got out the danged door :( I was so up to it too since this morning's walk went well. What a bummer :(

additions to food today:
8 oz "naked" fruit juice/smoothie - berry oxident (yum!)
half of (turkey) bologna sandwich (no cheese) on light wheat bread

(snack) protein shake


water so far: 64oz


well, between getting up early and the early butt kickin' walk, I am pooped!!! I am gonna take a quick cat nap (yup, if I don't sleep I'll eat) and then pop back in later :p :D PEANUTTY BUDDY, I HOPE THE VIBES I'VE SENT SO FAR WILL HOLD YOU OVER UNTIL I GET UP:D
 
Going to take a nap?! Well, I guess that's what happens when you get up so early. :rolleyes: I'm feeling pretty good today. Must be those vibes! Or maybe I'm happy that the scale finally went back down where it is supposed to be! ;) We used to all walk together when we lived in an area that didn't have much traffic. We haven't walked together much since we moved here. I'll be glad when I can walk again though. We are planning on going to a state park that is near here and spending the day every once in a while.

One more question. What the heck is a naked fruit smoothie? Lol!

LOL Naked is the brand name and it isn't really a juice since its so thick and (this flavor) has banana and a boat load of added vitamins. This flavor tastes like baby food bananas. They make another one that we like that looks like runny baby poo but tastes really good :D That one has apples, kiwi, banana, pineapple, and mango as base flavors. Then they hide broccoli, spinach, green tea, garlic and barley grass in that one - it tastes like baby bananas and apples (but looks AWFUL!! LOL):D I usually mix these with vanilla protein powder but since I only have chocolate right now, I drink 'em straight up :D

BTW, I feel much better after my little cat nap :D I lost a lot of my "want to" all of a sudden and got REALLY tired! LOL I am still tired but at least I can make it to a "normal" bed time.... heres hoping I dont' keep wakin' up at 4!!!! LOL It kind of sucks b/c although I like to start my day gently, I can't DO anything since everyone is sleeping!!!! LOL It doesn't take much to wake any of my men up :rolleyes:

Well, beef stew for hubby tonight and another salad for me :rolleyes: I will have the stew for breakfast since I don't want to take a chance on the sodium in the stew making me retain ANY water for weigh in tomorrow. Then I have the final weigh in for the challenge on *Brain tap* wednesday so I have to be super good on tuesday too ;) Yup, Yup, gonna be a good number at each weigh in :D
 
Yummy! Beef stew sounds excellent! I think I'll make some this week.
So - I'm sorry I haven't been around. I've been bad. But I've been doing well in the diet realm. Lots of great exercise and avoiding lots of temptations and eating well. I will try to be better abt. checking on my buddies. I'm always thinking of you!
 
hey ya MO2, glad you could stop by :D Make it when you can - I know life gets busy :D Glad you have been doing so well - keep it up :D Hubby said the stew was rather yummy :) I cooked it in the crockpot all day :D I get it for breakfast tomorrow :D

rest of todays eats:

salad w/ 2 oz chicken breast, salsa, and LF italian dressing
4 oz skim milk

total calories: 1038

total water: about 80 oz.

exercise today: dancin' like a fool (great idea Kate!) and walked 4 miles :D

LOL as soon as hubby left to meet with a client, I cranked the radio and danced around the livingroom - the birds looked at me like I lost my mind and my cat went to sleep he was so embarrassed by it!! LOL

Good mornin', Peanutty Buddy :D Well, IT happened again. I stalled on the scale! :( It is stuck at 188.3..... NOt sure why since I've been such a good Toadie this week, but that's okay. I didn't gain and I still have two days until the final weigh in for the challenge. I just have to be a SUPER good Toadie this week! :) Was gonna have some beef stew for breakfast but that would NOT be considered a good Toadie (too much fat and not enough of the good stuff) so.... I've changed my mind. Not sure what will be the final choice but I'll go scrounge :D

Okay, so food goes as follows .....

apple
cottage cheese
protein shake

skim milk
cottage cheese (quick to eat at work)
multigrain quakes (don't like 'em as well as the regular quakes but they need eating)

That puts me on track for 1200 today - I don't like to go below too often.

Not sure on dinner...... could be just a protein shake, could be a salad - so many options not enough brain space to plan the whole day :D
