Ok, I have to know.. what's a diet sprite cupcake??

...and how in the world can you eat a foot long veggie sub? As small as you are, I don't see where you put it! :D
 
An easy way to make a healthier version of cake is to use diet sprite instead of the eggs and oil. Just get a cake mix and put the diet sprite in and stick it in the oven! different diet sodas work better for different cake mixes, i think.

A foot long is quite easy to eat! haha. it helps that i had no meat or cheese on it and i didn't eat chips with it.

Diet Sprite cake/cupcakes taste just like the real thing, except more moist. Yum!

After my pig-out yesterday, I'm back on the wagon, for now. I'm going to volunteer at the Boys and Girls Club this afternoon. Hopefully I can get a good workout at the pool today and leave the running for tomorrow.
 
Breakfast:
1.5 cup shredded wheat
1.5 cup soymilk

Snack:
1 banana

Lunch:
1 packet oatmeal
1.5 TBL peanut butter
1 serving mixed nuts
1 cup orange juice

snack:
1 Nature Valley granola bar
1 cup soymilk

Dinner:
2 plates wheat pasta with organic spaghetti sauce

Exercise:
Pool-laps, flutterkicks, etc. 30 mins
 
Scratch that---I've done some, but I still have a Philosophy assignment from spring break to finish. And I have some essays to read (i think...?)
 
Today is a day truly to be celebrated.

I was out on a run, and I was stupid enough to wear some capris and a cotton t-shirt. it's about 75 degrees and sunny here, but after a mile of running it feels like about ninety degrees. So at mile 2, after wearing the heavy-sweat laden shirt....I took it off.

I ran with no shirt on. Just my sports bra and capris. It was incredibly liberating. I'm sure I didn't look perfect. My stomach probably jiggled. But it isn't even about that. It's about celebrating the progress I have made and feeling comfortable with my body. It is such a triumph to run without a t-shirt and feel confident, not because I'm perfect, but because I'm taking the right steps to make myself fit and healthy. Thank you ALL, even if you just read this and never post on it, for helping me through this journey.
 
that must be such an amazing feeling!!!

i know how happy i feel that i don't hate my mirror image in a sports bra, so i can only imaging how incredible/liberating running without a shirt must have felt!

i am SO happy for you!!!
 
Thanks! I have fat to lose but for those minutes it wasn't about how my body looked---it was about me loving myself enough to accept my body and wear what i've always wanted to wear while running on a hot day. :)
 
Totally! That's actually like a breakthrough, ya know? I was thinking I want to do that in my Kickboe class, but I'm worried the other women will think that I think I'm all that...which is not good. But I sweat like a pig, and it would be nice to be cooler. This other tanned, toned, hot girl does it....
 
Yesterday

Breakfast:
2 tbl peanut butter
1 box raisins

Lunch:
2 Morningstar veggie corn dogs
1 banana

Snacks:
1 fiber one bar
1 apple
1 cup chocolate soymilk

Dinner:
1.5 cups shredded wheat
0.5 cups chocolate soymilk
1 piece dark chocolate

Snack:
1 serving mixed nuts

Exercise:
Run, 3 miles, 10 minute miles

Yesterday was great. Cals were a little low (1600) but I ate constantly throughout the day.
 
Today I am wearing a tank top...it's a size medium from American Eagle. And I'm wearing the jeans that I couldn't fit into last semester. I was too self-conscious to wear tank tops last summer. I feel great! :)
