I just heard back from the trainer and she said some right things in here reply. Of course she wants to set up a personal consultation and that's a good thing. She said her rate is $440 per month which is a bit more than I wanted, but I suppose when I break it down its not too horrendous. $440 per month at 10 sessions per month is less than $50 an hour. I also don't think this has to be a long term relationship either as much as somebody to get me started.

can you break those sessions up over morethan a month? like go for 5 sessions - then use what you learned and go back for more or a refresher if you need it...

or at least just a trial session or two to make sure that you can work with her and she can work with you...
 
Got some great trainer questions. The point may be moot though. Because my old school went to a year round schedule, the Chicago Public School System has messed up everybody's pay myself included. This is money they deducted from our pay check all year round. Unfortunately, it looks like my paycheck is only for half of what its supposed to be (Due to some accounting error that is probably going to take a few months to straighten out). My money is going to be real tight this summer now and I'm trying to buy this summer too. One of the women at the school received a check for $51.02. She may be living on that this summer. I am beyond livid.
 
I don't think a second job would help at this point and eventually I will get the money I'm entitled too. Its just a question of how many bureaucrats it takes to screw in a light bulb. This isn't new money I'm earning. This is money I earned that was witheld from my check. I just know if I have to get by on half my check for the rest of summer its going to be ugly. The thing that's really annoying is this happens every time they put a school on the year round schedule. They told us all those bugs had been straightened out. Yeah right.

Oh well, I'm off to take my vacation to Minnesota and Milwaukee. I'll be back Sunday night. I will not let this get me down. I will enjoy myself. I've gotten a ton of support these last few days on the gym and trainer issues. I just want you all to know its noted and really appreciated :).

Drat I missed saying goodbye!

And missed jumping up and down about the crazy pay situation. Is it something about education departments!!! Seriously, half way round the world and pay mess ups in education here are also the pits, in a way that doesn't happen in other organizations! They put all the newbies in that section. Like it doesn't matter. But I have never heard of a stuff up quite this bad before. "beyond angry". That is amazingly unfair, Cannon.

Good on you for determining to enjoy your time away regardless.
 
Hey everybody, I overate on this trip and I overdrank, but I'm not too despondent. There was a lot of sampling new things that added on calories. I am going to go through a hard core junk detox and get in the swing of things tomorrow morning. If I'm up 3 or 4 pounds I'll consider it the price of a great time. Now, I intend to get serious about things again beginning with setting up an appointment at the gym.

Hey you a few lbs and extra calories is little to pay for a great time/trip - you will buckle down and get rid of it - Im glad all went well!!!
