Hey you - jsut coming by to say good mornign and have a good day...I could really use some help and support in the diet area are ya up for it...Im not doing well at all and im really overwhelmed and I think ready to just stop - ha ha ha...maybe you can help push me along ???
 
Hi Cannon....yay on the 3 pounds!!!! And I am so happy to hear the good news on the gym too! Hope you are enjoying your time off for a bit!

Thanks for the advice on the gym. My main concern is with getting a program and for that I want a personal trainer :). Thanks for all the support folks. I'm in the middle of returning some of it now.
 
Even with a trainer, it's important to do your own research because not all of them keep up on their info very well. But I'm sure you already know that. Good luck with the gym!
 
Thanks, and that's an excellent point about the research. I certainly will continue to do so and with steve on here I feel I have a go to person if I'm really unsure of something. Its the weekend and I've been a bit busy, but I am doing OK. I am starting to struggle a bit with the fruit and veggies, but I am going keep working on it.

You lost 3 pounds? Wow that's great news. Whatever you're doing is working.
I just have to say again how much I admire your posts to people, including me. Your wisdom and good sense make it possible for us to keep on going. You're a real asset to this forum.
 
Well I still have some work to do. I'm off in a few minutes to buy some exercise clothes, but I still am up about 4-5 pounds from my mother's day weight and that's a long time to be carrying that much extra weight. I'm down about 3 pounds from last week, but I know I could have done better this weekend.
 
Hey Cannon! Finally stopping by diaries! I actually took a day off of work to get some stuff done, including stopping by diaries!! :)
Yeah, weekends are the roughest. Lately I've been asking myself. Which do I want more, the weight loss or some decadent chocolatey dessert from H-E-doublehockeysticks.
 
Hi there! Congrats on the weight loss, yi-ah!! The excess pounds are not real, they'll drop off soon, don't sweat it. Hope you're enjoying your summer break! :)

aaawww:hug2: Ive been having the same problem with my weekends - I was doing pretty good and I still do better than before but I havnet had a no gian weekend in awhile - how do you do with challenges - wanna do somethign together to kick our butts in gears ???
 
Let me think about the challenge thing. I haven't gotten my head around what I want my weekends to be like yet. I just got back from a long 45 minute walk. It felt good to get out there and exercise. That is one habit I have kept. In the past if I couldn't get out first thing in the morning, I simply didn't work out. I bought some sweat pants today in preparation for tomorrow. I'm hoping this gym works out so I don't need to find another one.
