Weekend was good, but I start today up a pound from where I was on Friday. I can live with that because I am sure that by tomorrow that pound and more will be off. Saturday was a rough food day for me. Friday was OK and yesterday was very good. Its kind of nice because I only have about 45 minutes of school work to do this weekend. Usually I have at least a couple hours earmarked for Sunday.

And i hear ya on SAT. being a tough food day.......I can relate man!!!
Be strong, and stay out of the fridge.......thats what i try to do!!!

Calorie Needs?

Some of you have done a great job on educating yourself. I am trying to do the same. At my large size, the most reallistic ammount of calories needed per day that I come up with is 5000. The problem is I know I'm nowhere near that. If I had 2 Big Macs for lunch, 3 for dinner, cheesecake for a snack and 4 chocolate doughnuts for breakfast I'd be maintaining by that calculation. I've been trying to keep myself at 2000 calories give or take a couple hundred. Does that sound right?
 
I dunno abt htat cal stuff, I am startign to wonder if I am not eating enough of them...I want to go to HillBilly's thread and use the calculator he has in there to see what I woudl need for overall maintance, just for curiousity...You sound liek your doing well...keep it up!!!

Just chekking in on you, that pound shouldn't make you worry, like you keep saying: you'r ein it for the long hall.
I can't help you with the caloriecounter thing, mine is in danish:) But I compared it to the one Pequin suggested, they look a lot a like, so I think it will be pretty much the same result. Anyway, hope you figure it out, its a good tool to keep in mind.
 
I'm not too worried about gaining a pound over the weekend. Actually its gone now and then some. I have some temptations today and Thursday, but I have hope for being very close to that 407.6 or lower that was my lowest weight come Friday. I tried out the BMR calculator Peguin linked me to (thanks!) and it said I could stay in bed all day and burn 3200 calories--man does that sound good right about now :). Even with light movement, moving this frame around is going to burn calories. I think I'm going to stay with 2000 - 2200. I did take off weight a few years ago staying at 2800 and you know, it stayed off.
 
spend about 15 minutes at - they can do the calculations for you - -they take into consideration your height/weight/gender/age and your activity level and give youo a calorie range to stay within -- and while i'm pretty much a sparkle groupie - i can state with 100 percent degree of certainty that for the past 10 months - it's been working - their range has been correct...
 
Yesterday was rough. I'll post the gory details.

Breakfast - 2 doughnuts (1 was OK. I planned for it. The second one was some out of control eating).

Lunch - Cheeseburger and Fries

Snack - doughnut number 3
fritos

Dinner - Chicken noodle soup & way too much bread

Yikes! What the heck happenned? Things have been going so well too. Oh well. I'm going to pick myself up, dust myself off and get back up. Yesterday was just an ordinary day and it was all my state of mind. At the end of the day sometimes you've just got to say "Its alright". Now its time to redouble my efforts today.
 
Oh YUM and WOW, I came in here to wish you a good morning...I am drooling...dont beat yourself up, one day last week, I had burgers and fries for luncha nd dinner and then smores and so on...

Have a good day...Tomorrow is always a better day...or a new day or I guess it can be both...
 
Mmmmm...Donut *drooool*

Yesterday I was reading a diet-ish magazine, and they have the nerve to show a picture of a donut, looking hella yummy. Yeahh, that's a good image to put into the magazine. It looked so tastey. lol

You're doing really well Cannon, keep it up!!!
 
Ok, so you had a non-diet oriented day...We all do at times. I have a suggestion. Try to plan ahead so that when you are presented those options, you have your "own" food to eat. I've found taking my lunch to work keeps me from the sandwiches and chips in the coffee shop.
 
Today was much better from a food stand point. I was about as straight and narrow as I can be. Hopefully, yesterday's gains are history. I didn't weigh in today because I didn't want to be discouraged. Work is starting to really get to me for reasons too long to go into now. Its the politics of our school right now, surprisingly not the kids.

Hey Cannon :) Don't beat yourself up to bad, I broke down and had a blizzard today :eek: and I enjoyed it. Maybe you needed it?? I'm telling myself my body wanted that damn blizzard bad enuf, sooo, I'll just hafta be extra good for the next coupla weeks :rolleyes:

Seems like the day off from the diet is becoming a international holiday (I had one too:eek: ) But its okay, we get over it. As long as that one day doesn't become two, and three and so on we can handle it. Have a great day
 
Thanks for the support folks :). I think what bothered me most was the second and third doughnuts. That was just a case of me being out of control. That's something that hasn't happenned much since last June. I did have a very good day yesterday though and if I can do like DQ said and have a great day today I'll be very happy :)
