Cannon's Journal

You can and will do it, Im sorry to hear abt your work stress , it is hard when you have work stress on top of everyhtign else...your doing well, we all indulge a lttle or step back a lil once in awhile...one good day under your belt one more to go to day and so on...

Hey- Long time no see! (Well, kind of see)- I don't think I can catch up on the months and months of your diary that I missed, but I hope everything is going well with you. I'm glad to be back! I'll be sure to check in on you every now and again :)

Yep - it's one day at a time Cannon, over time, they add up - look at those 54.2 pounds GONE!!!

Heya Cannon:)

I am joining in the choir: Have a great day:) As you can see we are all cheering for you, and hoping you had one more great day:)

Well there was a problem with the site in the AM yesterday, but I did drop .8 pounds down to 410 even. The only problem is that I had a party to go to on both Friday and Saturday and I put on about 2 pounds I'm guessing. I can take that off and I'm in control today. I didn't overdue it either time, but I'm eating more like somebody who is maintaining rather than somebody trying to lose weight. I need to be just a little bit tougher so that I can make some real headway. I'm not talking about doing anything crazy, but if I can just reduce by indugling by about 10-20% we'll see some real progress here.

Oh I'm drinking a ton of water. I'm on my 4th 16 ounce glass of the day--I don't even think about how much I drink, but its in the 80 ounce range.

Hi Cannon!!! Congrats on the loss - don't worry about the weekend, you'll get it off and then some. Adjusting your diet 10-20% sounds like a good idea. Hope it works!! Have a great day!! :D:D

I feel the same way abt my indulging, lol...your doing good keep it up...our lives get int eh way a little bit...we just need to adapt and it sounds like you did and do...

Hey everybody,

I am back to normal foods again -- yay! Whole grain, fruit, spice, and even a bit of chocolate. I had a good day yesterday and an OK day today. I had a real good morning and wanted a pizza puff and fries for dinner. I think I had the calories to pull it off, but I have no clue how many calories in a pizza puff. Not the best thing for me, but I think I was OK calories wise. Tomorrow I'm adding fruit and whole grain and oatmeal for breakfast again---Yay!!

A pizza puff is kind of Chicago food. Its one of those things I just had an incredible craving for that I had to give in on. However, I usually get two and I at least limited myself to one. They are basically a pizza roll type filling fried in a puff pastry. They're about 1/3 the size of a burrito. The weekend weight is gone now and I'm back in losing mode, but I do need better control of my weekends. Going off my diet on Friday and Saturday so that I need Sunday and Monday to recover and then leaving only 3 days to making progress with the weight loss just isn't going to cut it for me in the long haul.

Sounding and looking good, i have a hard time on the weekends as well...Im slowly trying to change that, I never use to really exercise on the weekends, Ive got that down....I never use to drink my water, been gettin better....Keeping my food inline...gettin there, lol...It is all a process you know that...If your not gaining weight your doing great, I indulge myself little too much sometimes and i think to myself how much better I could be doing if I didnt, oh well...LOL...Your doing great!!!

Ahh, sometimes it's hard knowing what we need to do and implementing it come the weekends!

It's all about one day at a time Cannon, and you are doing that :)

I saw Rocky Balboa tonight. I sometimes think of this weight loss journey I'm on as being akin to a boxing match. I won't pretend that the movie was the greatest movie of all time, but it was good...surprisingly good. The first and last Rocky movie were so much better than the ones in between. This movie clearly had a message and that message was that its not how hard you hit, but how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. That's a great piece of advice if you don't care too much about your nose. However, I think its a great piece of advice for those of us on diets. If you really want to change your lifestyle you're going to make mistakes, slip ups, and get knocked off course. Success means that those screwups don't deter you from your goal. In some ways you have to be naieve or have a great deal of blind faith to believe that in the face of all the adversity we encounter, we can just keep on going and plugging away to a healthier lifestyle. However, that's just what we're doing and its something I think we can all keep doing. I left the movie and got a salad for dinner. I did have a small popcorn at the theatre, but you know it wasn't a bad day.

Heya Cannon,

Good to see you found some motivation in the rocky movie, and even though I haven't seen it you words sound true and very well fitted to our situation. And you know, going to the movies and eating a small bucket of popcorn and a salad is good too. Just remember how it used to be and typical day like this:) Have a great day:)
