Cannon's Journal

Sounds like you had a pretty decent day Cannon, not a bad one. Considering your options, you did well. You were conscious of what you were eating, and if you had some left over, it sounds like you weren't just shovelling it in. Being aware is an awesome thing.:hug2:

Hey Cannon, I've been away for ten days and your day doesn't sound too bad to me. I come back and your muscles are killer stiff from working out and you are posting the food that you eat. You're still here. I just read the last bit of your diary but will explore some more now.

So you have added the gym to your routine?

A good 2 days and its about time. Yesterday I limited my calories for the day to about 500 before the evening. I had some of that Dark Knight beer, but only about 4-5 ounces. Otherwise I drank Diet Coke. For dinner we ordered middle eastern. I had about half a falafal sandwich and 3 stuffed grape leaves. I think I was under 2000 calories for the day. This morning I got up and did my work out. It was easier this time. I hope its because my muscles knew what to expect more than that I didn't have the trainer there to make sure I was doing things with the correct form (I think I used the correct form).

good for you cannon :) and yes, exercising does get easier. i remember when i first started working out i even had fever after first workout and my muscles were trembling. now i get depressed when i don't workout :D

great for the food. i usually avoid anything that has that much sodium, i don't know, cokes and other drinks like that make me feel a bit bloated. and they also increase my appetite. i would rather have beer but i guess the best thing is just to drink water :D

Cannon it does get easier. The first workout is really about the worst. After that it doesn't seem to hit you so bad unless you just really have an intense work out. It's like me when I started on the elliptical. About 4 minutes was it and I was totally spent. The other night I managed to hang in for 30 minutes. Your endurance should build up as time goes by.

Beer is something I have totally cut out. I love beer I'm just being really restrictive right now. How was the one you had? I don't guess I have ever really heard of it.....

Just keep it up and don't give up.

Excellent on doing your work out and having it down with out the triainer that is great :) I have no idea what these thigns are...falafal sandwich and 3 stuffed grape leaves...are they as healthy as they sound ??? How is your day going today ???

Thanks Randy. I can do the eliptical pretty well once I get a rhythym, but the trainer has me working the treadmill instead and fiddling with the incline not the speed. I feel strong today so I feel like it was a good workout.

The beer is extremely strong and I brought it back from Minnesota for my friends to sample. We had 1 like, 1 mix, 2 dislike, but it lost a little something in transit. It was quite good at the source and its potent stuff at 13.5% alcohol which is another reason I didn't overdo it.

Filafel is a patty made by frying a mixture of chickpeas and fava beans. Its fried, but I didn't really have much sauce and it is made of veggies. The stuffed grape leaves had a rice and turkey mixture inside.

Hey you - tha tsounds healthy enough :) My x visit went fine for the most part I just ignore him...however...he made a snide remark at me today and I just ignored it - I will post abt it in my diary...

I'm hanging in there and the weight is going down. I am trying to get a lot done this week since I have access to my own apartment. The problem is I can hear the construction noises in other rooms.

Howdy Cannon,
Congrats on getting your workouts in,I still struggle
to get my energy up to doing anything anymore even walking I force myself
to do thanks to my doggy lol.It used to be easy until I fell off for a little
while.Trainers seem to be a big help on keeping ya on track! Keep up the
good work,Tammy

Cannon, good on you for working the incline and not the speed - most people tend to go for speed because its easier, the incline is a much better workout :D

That's good to know. She has me doing an interval training on the treadmill of 15 minutes and she won't let me hold onto the machine. At this point I'm doing what I'm told.

Looks like a good workout. The incline really seems much harder on you than the speed setting. The holding on can help you cheat a bit. Without holding on, If you get too far behind it will shoot you back 15 ft. without holding on it's either keep up or tuck and roll lol...... sounds like a good workout keep it up........

I never cheated with the hand rails, but I always felt safer. I think the act of balancing myself does make it a better work out and I do move my arms as well.

It takes a little while to get use to the road moving under you but it gets easier. The incline still tears you up but after the soreness goes away it ain't bad......... How many days a week are you with your trainer?

Sounds like the workouts are going well. I feel really good when I get done with cardio, too.

Keep up the good work! (I'm trying to keep it up, myself.)

- Sunny
