Can I do it? - a diary from a repeat offender

Okay so I was curious about my weight this morning... because I um... got rid of some weight last night..um...you know....pooped:eek:

Well I got on the scale and I was down a pound and a half!!!! Holy crap! Literally:p I am not going to count that with any of my challenges. I will stay to yesterday's weigh in, and just hope that next week's a goody!

Anyway I am off to do my 70 minutes on the elliptical to watch my Grey's Anatomy that I taped on Thursday night. I have purposely avoided that thread since so I don't see you guys talking about it! Gotto go and see it!

Well my new resolution to kick ass for the next 10 weeks lasted all of 24 hours!?

My friend had a bridal shower and then we all went out for drinks and pub grub last night.

I couldn't skip the event but I certainly should have planned better with the food.

It could have been worse but all this tells me is that there is not skipping my workout today! I was going to have a day of rest being Sunday... but nope I am already in my work out clothes and I am gonna get to it as soon as I check all my posts here.

New resolutions starts again today... Sunday is a good day to start right?:p

Did my workout on the elliptical today. I also did some strength training with my arms. They are my nemisis and the elliptical just isn't giving me what I need as far as losing those puggy arms!

I also went for a big walk with the dogs and my bf. We went out to the creek and walked up hill, down hill, over fallen trees for about an hour. I think that was a pretty good work out too! I am actually sweating. I dressed pretty warm because it's getting cold outside but I think I wore too much because I was sweating!

I have to clean the bathroom then I think I might take an afternoon nap? It's a lazy Sunday and I am pooped after all this!

Had an allergy attack this morning around 4am... Couldn't get back to sleep, so I got up and did my workout.. by this time, my nose had stopped running.
I did 60 minutes on elliptical and some strength training with band and dumbell.

I went to work... I think I am coming down with something, I am freezing cold all day, achy, and a bit of a sore throat.
It snowed here today, could explain the freezing cold but the rest... may be flu symptoms. I didn't teach in the last block of the day so I came home to get some sleep. I really don't want to get sick, I want to lose that twenty pounds in the next ten weeks so I am really trying to kick ass! Three days in a row of working out so far... I am hoping to do it every day this week!?

I am off to sleep now....
 
way to go with the impressive work outs! does tv make the work out go faster? and how do you keep focused on your speed on the elliptical while watching tv?
 
Oh yeah tv totally helps to make the time pass! I have found that even if I don't have something very entertaining to watch, the work out is that much harder to accomplish! I am always taping things on my PVR, and that way I always have many choices of what to watch while I work out.
In regards to it affecting my speed. I don't allow it to. I am always keeping an eye on the speed and calories, and of course the time left... I always walk away really sweating so I guess that is proof that I am working hard.
But yeah without the TV I wouldn't be able to do it!
It's funny Monday mornings are one of my easiest workouts because I always watch Desperate Housewives that I taped the night before. (Whereas Monday used to be the toughest day to get my butt out of bed!:D )

Just popping in to say hey....."hey"!
I totally agree with the needing a tv to help with
your workouts I brought my stationary bike up from
the basement to my bedroom with a tv that plays dvd's!
I used to workout in my babsement with the radio time
doesn't go by near as fast as with a TV!
Well congrats on getting back on track you can do it!

Felt a bit better today. I did another work out this morning! That's four mornings in a row! yay me! :D
Although I came to my 2nd job tonight and they have a fricken bucket of mini-chocolate bars. I have already had about four of them! Shoot, who's stupid idea is that??? Asshole! :p
My 2nd job is as a crisis counsellor. I work mostly in a phone room where I sit by myself across the room from this bucket of chocolate! (OH and it's that TOM!) That bucket of chocolate is calling my name... must resist, I have already had enough!... I think I will go fill my water jug again!
I just finished the fourth litre, and am about to start the fifth! It's been a long day. I have been up since 6am and I am not going to be back home until about midnight. :( zzzzzzz
I will get up and work out tomorrow morning though!!!! I must, I must... I think I can, I think I can... shoot after this chocolate I have to! :rolleyes:
This is going to be a good weigh in this week!
I am bound and determined! :cool:
 
Wow - your night sounds like some sort of torture!! TOM, chocolate with no one watching, and sleep deprivation!! I'd like.. die right there on the nice clear floor. lol
 
Okay well had to report that I did my work out this morning! Despite the sleep deprivation! Woo hoo! That's five in a row!!
I work at 2nd job again tonight... hopefully the chocolate is all gone! I didn't resist as much as I should have!
 
Just started my shift... I am not alone until a few hours from now... the chocolate is still there taunting me... mocking me... as if to say.... "You're mine in a few hours! :confused: "

I must resist!
 
I have been alone for almost an hour and the chocolate is taunting me....
I have not touched a single piece!
I am kind of hoping to sleep in tomorrow morning..so i decided that if I have chocolate i have to work out. If I leave it I can sleep in!
Two days in a row at both jobs, starting to wear on me...won't be in bed until midnight again tonight so I need to sleep in a bit...so that settles it, no chocolate!

I promise if I allow myself even one piece, I have to get up at 6am for a workout!
 
i know exactly how ur feeling! im sitting here wishing for another sandwich (worse!) and i know that if i touch that-then I'll have to push myself twice as hard at the gym 2moro-and i wont have the time!
