Camy's diary

im not into a lot of the homeopathy stuff either to a great degree, but home remedys often work and save a ton of money.

Angel: I study a master in medicine, to be precise in foetal medicine. It is part of my training as Ob/Gyn (well a part I chose to be part of my training). I find it very different from medical school, much better in fact, but it is a lot of work.
What do you study?

wow! that is cool! i admire anyone who can do medicine and science and stuff. me not so good at it lol. i'm studying to be a teacher. this is the final strtch. got under 4 months to go and alot of work which is why i am on WLF! lol. when do you finish?

btw...good for you for going ot the gym!

x

I am so proud of myself!! I was going to the gym and still not sure if I was going to go in, but I did it and I did a full hour of exercise, as said 25 mins of elliptical (level 5, that is my current level), sit ups (100), legcercises (over 200), etc... I finally understand when people say: "I felt so energized after the gym!" I always thought it was bullshit to cover for them, to make the gym look like something nice, but today I understand, I felt so great after all that exercise...

I have so much to do this week and I can't believe I didn't do anything this weekend. I also have tickets to 2 shows tomorrow and wednesday, work all day in hospital and have an essay due friday and have to hold a short seminar on friday too... oh dear. I better get to work.
Thanx for all your comments once again, Angel, I am finishing this Master´s in September and then I will either resume my training or go and do volunteer work in Africa... depends on the man and his plans!

the shows were great!
the man got the job in africa, so now we have to have "the talk". it will consist in discussing if we want to get married, and if we should do this before or after africa (we sort of had it a few weeks ago and it ended soooooooo badly!!) and if we do not want to, are we committed enough to each other for me to go with him.
I am torn between the dangers and terrible things out there in africa and the joy of living this adventure. I think i will go with him (there are plenty of hospitals there for me to work in and I have wanted to do humanitarian work forever... it was my whole reason to study medicine in first place), but until it all is discussed I cannot really say.
I am in any case happy for him. It is a great opportunity.

Food of the day:
breakfast: nothing (i know bad, but i had to wrk in hospital and be there early and never found the time)
lunch: a salad and a sugar-free soy latte
dinner: thai food (I had rice vermicelli with prawns, chicken and coconut... it was delicious, but a bit heavy on my poor delicate stomach)

No exercise other than being on my feet for 9 hours straight seeing patients.

Hello all, it is me again!
Today I worked all day nannying, and now I have to write 2600 words of an essay (I managed to write the other 400 words this morning before work). I am aware that this may need the whole night, but who cares... tomorrow night we are going on the long long long awaited hols.
I have somehow started to gain (minimal amounts like .1 kg here and there, so I am actually 200 g over my last measurement) and I am prretty depressed on that. I will start properly again next week after skiing. I will have much more time and then I can dedicate myself to this a bit more. Yey!

Food: breakfast 1 apple and 1 glass of calcium infused o-juice
Lunch: small salad and 1/2 a smoked mackarel and teddybears and 8 grapes
Snack: sushi
Dinner: (I do not know, I am going to think Salad and maybe a hard boiled egg!)

I had a terrible fight with my man yesterday (the first in a looooooooooooong time that was caused by me doing something wrong rather than him) and I insulted him, in fact I insulted his sexual capacity and I feel darn sorry about it. I told him I am sprry and he has forgiven (but not forgotten... argh). To make it up to him I am planning on doing some light bondage play with him tomorrow. Blindfold him and tie him to the bed and then do all sorts of things to him.
That will also burn some calories ;)! Camy

hey so you are thinking of moving to africa! sounds good! i hope you work it out and sort it out!

good luck with that essay! i have to do a 3000word for next friday! am not looking forward to it at all!!

have a good day!

x

heya Camy - lol @ the bondage thing and bf thing in general! hehe, PMS? :D

Just checkin in!

OK, this is my last post until next wednesday or thursday. I am very excited about leaving and snow snow snowboarding!
I seem to have lost some weight (even though I ate a massive choc and marzipane bar yesterday...), I would guess between half and 1 pound (I always weigh about 3 pounds more in the evening and today I only weigh 2 more than about a week ago in the morning, if this makes sense).

Yey, ok nwo I will sleep because I have been awake since thursday at 8 in the morning and now it is friday at 10 in the evening and I am still awake (due to essay, but all is done and finished).
Nightnight, see you in 5 days my lovies, Camy

My goodness - there is everything in your diary these days!!!

I hope that you are having a wonderful holiday. You will certainly be getting tons of exercise.

You begrudge buying the shoes to wear just a couple of times a year - but having said that - there is value in ensuring that you do not take risks with your feet. Have you calculated the cost of buying compared to the price of hiring - e.g. x days of hiring shoes = shoe price. That can often be an interesting way of looking at a potential purchase (e.g. the cost of buying vs the cost of not buying).

I hope that the echinacea did the trick. We start taking it the moment one of us gets a first sniffle for a couple of weeks or until the germs are gone. In order to put off the sniffles I also take a vitamin C tablet every day. This is on top of my normal cocktail of supplements for numerous reasons (Centrum performance multivitamin, omega-3 fishoil, starflower oil, garlic).

I know that you are eager to burn calories - but I couldnt help but be amused as to how your thoughts leapt from a desire to participate in some light bondage to a report that you had not slept the previous night. Also a report of the pleasures of having eaten a massive choc and marzipan bar. You certainly seem to live for pleasure alone!

Possibly the weight loss that you reported was due to all that impromtu exercise. Just think how much you would have lost if you had left out the choc and marzipan. :biggrinjester: Reports like that will get the whole forum planning some light bondage!:biggrinjester: :biggrinjester: :biggrinjester:

I am sure that the Africa thing will all work itself out. Generally - if things are meant to happen they do. If they dont happen - they were never meant to.

Take care
Love
Margaret

OK so I am back from my dream vacation and I am soooo happy to be back... it was the friggin trip from HELL!!!!!

So the day we flew there I felt some unease in my throat and in the evening, after dinner I had a headache, but I hoped the echinacea and the immune support vitamins would do the trick.
Then day 1 (of 3 snow-days) I felt quite sick, throat-ache, head-ache, muscle-ache, but still we went to the pists, I boarded 3 pists and then I felt too weak to continue. We had a calm evening but I still felt quite off.
Day 2 I woke up worse, my throat was killing me and my tummy ached, my head etc... after some thinking we went but I got very nauseous on the skilift and after 2 pists (one of which was extremely beautiful and very fun actually), we went to get some coffee and I started to feel very faint, started shaking incontrollably and got blue fingernails. I went home and measured my fever, I was over 40 degrees C (That would be 104 fahrenheit) and I just lay in bed shivering for the rest of the day.
I could not sleep that night, because everytime I swallowed I woke up in tears, and I could not lie still because all of my muscles were aching and my tummy hurt so badly.
The next morning I went to the Doc and he said I had the flu and tonsillitis, gave me antibiotics, pain and fever medication and recommended bedrest. I felt miserable and bedrested for the whole day and the next day we were already comeing back home.
It was the longest trip, 13 hours from door to door,, due to the bad communications and I still felt pretty bad, so all in all this trip was crummy!
I ate almost nothing, I did almost nothing (other than feeling miserable and very very pitiful for myself) and I cried a lot.

Now the GOOD part of this is: I lost a ton of weight. I am quite sure I will regain some now that I started eating again, but hopefully not all of it.
Today I am still on bedrest, so I will take it easy, write the presentation for my thesis (I have to hold this on tuesday) and then tonight my friend got free tickets for the new york ballet company, so I will dress very warmly and go. I have broken the fever anyway, so I think I should be fine.

Thanks Tabitha and wishes!

Just my meals for today (I actually calculated my BMR and it is 1500 and something cals a day... I thought it would be higher!!):
Breakfast: 1 banana (100 cals)
Snack: half a tin of artichokes (25 cals)
Lunch: salmon and veg (380 cals it said on the package, it was a semireadymeal) and the other half of that tin (25 cals), fruit bar (150 cals)
Snack: 4 choc hearts (80 cals)
Dinner: small salad and 1/4 bowl of rice (200 cals aprox)

Total 960 cals... ok a bit low, but I am still sick... I will start eating more and better soon! And Sport was obviously a major NOTHING today! Bedrest and ballet watching!

umm the 1500 would be just to maintain being alive, you would use probaby another 500 or so getting out of bed, walking to the kitchen, bus, peeing, etc.

sorry to hear you weren't to well! but you are getting better that is good! hopr all the weight doesn't come climbing back though ;)

x

Of course I put on a pound again... well it was to be expected, not eating for 3 days then followed by eating all I could find for another 3... yeah that sounds like a pound to me.

Yesterday was my man's birthday, we went for a nice lunch just the 2 of us to a vegan place (he was not all that enthused about this), and he ate a feijoada and I ate a salad (and bread, they have wheat free bread, so we had a tapioca flour bread which was delic and a rice flour bread which was a bit sticky... and then by mistake they brought the bread again, so we took it home with us), for dinner we went with 12 friends to a pizza place and I had a salad and half a mozzarella. Then they had brought a massive choc cake and I ate soe of the choc coating the cake (I know I am one sad person sitting there licking my piece of cake...).

o lets see: yesterday's food:
Breakfast: yoghurt and 1 banana
Lunch: salad and 1 bread
Snack: the other bread!
Dinner 1/2 a mozzarella, a salad with some octopus in it and chocolate coating of a cake

My exercise was some sex... does that count?

Not too good not too bad...
Today I have to be in uni all day studying, so I will eat a snack there... yes you guessed it, it will be sushi!!
So today's breakfast was rather large, scrambled eggs, and 2 piece of toast (disgusting gluten free one, eugh!), without butter and stuff . Lunch will be sushi and dinner... might be a large salad, or the traditional fish...

I am quite happy with my weightloss so far, the man is very happy and... yesterday I put on boots my sister gave me for christmas. When I put them on then I struggled to close them at the far end and even left the last bit of zipper unzipped!
Well yesterday they closed without a problem, in fact there was some extra space!!!! I am so happy! The only problem I have is that my boobies are shrinking (that is not too bad), BUT my bras are all too big! I will have to invest in some new bras!

Good sunday to all, Camy
P/s: tomorrow I am going back to the gym! Today is my last day of antibiotics and tomorrow I am officially cured!

Cured!! Yey!
So gym here I come! Also the bailiff action has been cancelled! Yey! Now I have to wait 3 or 4 more weeks for an official letter from the council but it looks like I am in less of a pickle! Yupi!

Yesterdays food:
Breakfast: scrambled eggs and 2 GF toast
Lunch: 2 rice triangles and 2 small packs of sushi
Snack: 1 plum and 1/2 mandarine
Dinner: tuna salad (lettuce tomatoes and tuna) and eggplant quesadillas

Eggplant quesadillas are my own invention and they are quite yummy! You just cut eggplant into round slices and put them in a pan for a minute or so, then sprinkle a bit of cheese on one of them and use the second one as a lid. Panfrie them on both sides for about a minute each and you have a eggplant mini quesadilla! I made 6 (out of one rather small eggplant) and we had 3 each with the man. He loved them!
Sport: fighting until the early hours of the morning... does that count?

Now if I managed to also write those 2000 words I need to hand in tomorrow, today would be a great day! Let's try!
