Ecky - I love boots but have not been able to wear them like your daughter. I don't know how I'm going to resist buying all the boots in the world now!!!
By frame of reference... When I weighed 230 lbs back in the late '80s, and yes I'm dating myself pretty strongly there... I used to wear a 38 waist, but was not someone who exercised regularly. I am currently 245lbs, so 15 lbs more, and 38's are falling off me, and I'm starting to fit nicely into a set of 36 waist pants.
All body composition. In other words honey, you got muskels now. Betcha looking pretty good...
hehehe thanks Cabbie....I am feeling PRETTY GOOD! And I think you are right re weight not always correlating to size. Something weird is going on that's for sure. No loss in weight but an inch down on my waist size (yay for 33 inches!! GO GO GO that hourglass figure!!).
Food today (good and bad I'm afraid)
toasted bagel - 220 cals
3 cups of tea - 30 cals
potato snacks - 97 cals
350g of strawberries - 98 cals
1 small doughnut - 210 cals
plain salad (lettice and cucumber) with 2x 20cal slices of beef = 90 cals
chocolate bar - 275 cals
3 slices of 20 cal beef - 60 cals
grilled chicken, fresh tomato and pitta - 350 cals
Total - 1430 cals
I know the doughnut and chocolate are not great - I was literally working for 12 hours straight at my desk today off and on calls, in and out of meetings...am absolutely knackered and the sugar rush got me through it. sigh.
On the positive point...weird kind of day! Mr X emailed me straight after reading my article and liked it, plus had finally organised a date for our big meeting!
Then I spoke to another of his colleagues about another issue...and he said "ah hah! I now know what YOU look like!! X emailed us all your article! I'm looking forward to meeting you!" and I was like "arghh" - super embarrissed!! But hey, he must have thought it worth reading if he sent it around his team and the other guy's reaction was pretty complimentary. I'm hoping he thought "oooh she looks nice! No wonder X is talkign to her lots!". hehehe
Plus, I got called up by a team outside my region because I am now apparently "the go to girl" on this particular specialist area and after an hours conference call, won a substantial piece of work. Seriously, without the insider conversations with him and contacts through Mr X, never would have had the chance to develop as THE specialist in this area.
Anyhows, those are the things that made me feel great today, even though I worked so hard and long.
Bath and bed for me I think! Bit narked no time for running during the day, nor will there be tomorrow...maybe Friday...plus no energy to jump on the spinning bike now I am home. Just too darn exhausted.
