Byebye Big Bum!

LOL I still feel like a newbie as well but our diaries are now really long.
Do you know if pomegranites are supposed to help with fat loss or just the juice. I'm eating quite a few at the moment. I find that they take ages to eat so if I feel like I might start to pick at food then I eat one to distract myself.
Congrats on the weight drop.

Hey! That's a good idea! I always eat the things one 'seed' at a time so they take forever as well. I never think to buy them though unless my kids are with when I shop and they beg for them. They love 'em!

Do you eat the whole crunchy seed? I have a coworker that just sucks the juicy stuff off and spits out the seed part. I chomp the whole thing though!

Yes I eat the seeds. They're enough of a problem to eat at the best of times without making it even more complicated. They seem to be particularly red and juicy this year.:)

I LOVE pomegranites but they are such a faf to peel and get the seeds out. Sometimes I'll sit and do like 10 in a row and stick the bowl in the fridge to dip into for a couple of days. I think eating the actual things are better than the processed juice Ecky but don't know how many you'd have to eat daily to get the same amount!

At 183lbs this morning which is ok, given that I had to go out client entertaining last night (makes me sound like a HO !!! hahah) and we went to a very meaty/stodgey restaurant. I chose the oven baked chicken breast with no sauce so that was healthy, but the huge roast potato wasn't!! I reakon about 800 cals for the meal so not toooo bad.

Breakfast - 300 cals
snack - 100 cals
salad for lunch - 66 cals
chocolate - 220 cals
dinner - 800 cals
tea - 40 cals
late night snack - 200 cals

Total - 1726 less 40 mins walking...so probably back down in the 1500s again hence why the weigh in wasn't too bad this morning.

Another couple of days and I am in potential wooosh territory...roll on the 26th/27th.

Work is unbelievably busy at the moment. I mean, I really really love my job. It is absolutely great and I get such a kick out of what I do, BUT the pressure is enormous and there's so much to do. We really need a whole two other people.

And on that note I'd better actually GET to work!!! hehehe. Dress down day today so jeans YAY and I might wear my new high heel boots...one of the benefits of having lost 55lbs is that high heels no longer hurt my feet to wear. Although trainers for the day is very tempting!! I usually call X on Fridays for a chat but he asked me to give him a week to go off and find out the answer to this issue so I can't really...shame as when we spoke on Tuesday it was quite business like as I was busy and we are both always chatty on a Friday. Oh well, I'm sure I can do without talking to him for a few days! I'll just find someone else to flirt with!

Haha, "meaty stodgey" made me chuckle. Also, Asda's do pom seeds all ready packaged and ready to nom on!

Have a good day at work you skinny minnie!

Urgh. busy old day at work. Lots of cakes there today as well... Nice to be dress down though.

Its been announced that they are cutting 15-20% of jobs at Mr X's place in the next 24 months....I really really hope he's not allowed to volunteer for redundancy :(

Got a lacrosse tournament all day tomorrow so will be getting plenty of exercise!! Then the whole team is going out to Frankie & Benny's (OMG I love their BBQ ribs...) and then bowling, then drinking and dancing...so I'm hoping the energetic activities = calories cost of a few drinks and some ribs!

Food today:
toasted bagel with slice of ham and cheese - 350 cals
tea - 30 cals
2 x pom bear potato snacks - 194 cals
small piece of walnut and coffee cake - 200 cals
Tuna Nicoise salad with tiny bit of dressing - 350 cals
chocolate - 150 cals
grilled chicken, pitta and tomatos - 380 cals

Total - 1654 cals

Bath and bed for me I think - end of a very long tiring week!

Can you ask him for his "out of hours mobile number"? I know i've done that before where you can't be inappropriate in in hours so you get their mobile number and have text fun out of hours!

Nice idea Sunflower, but he gave me his private mobile number...gosh...back in May (without me asking!). We were due to have our final meeting and he was out of the office one day out of the whole week before the meeting but emailed it to me just incase I needed to get hold of him (?!? yeah, because I couldn't just call his office the other 4 days?!).

Since then I've texted him a couple of times on it - mostly stuff after we've spoken on the phone or emailed and he's always replied but we've never had a texty-jokey banter more than one or two texts long. That's what made me think that he might already be in a relationship and not wanting stuff to be read by someone else!

But anyhow...off to lacrosse! See you guys later!

Awh, fair enough. Hope he doesn't have anyone else :( Can't really ask him though can you!! Unless we think of a sneaky way to ask him if he's single! Hope lacrosse was fun xx

Yo-yoing sucks.
I know how difficult it can be to get on track after taking the blow of a weight-gain after loss, even if just a small one.
Congratulations, girl!

How was lacrosse? And more important the partying afterwards? :cheers2:

Hope you had a great time! Of course not TOO good of a time that you feel lousy the next day though!

Sorry guys for no updates, been massively busy all weekend!! Lacrosse was fun, but very tiring playing all day. Went out for dinner with the lacrosse girls and then onto 10 pin bowling...even more tiring!!! Had rack of ribs and herb potatos with sweetcorn but left half the ribs and potatos as I just wasn't hungry. Did have a glass of wine and a glass of pear cider with dinner though. 2 for 1 cocktails out on the town = great fun!! Its been ages since I've had a girls night out so I allowed myself to go a bit mad on the drinking without worrying about calories...one mojito then hit a slightly less sugary combination of rocktails and jaegerbombs...Amazingly enough I didn't have a hangover the next morning - slept from 3am right through to 10am and woke up fine.

Then went to meet some climbing friends of mine from uni at a quarry in the peaks and took my daughter. We walked about 5 or 6km all in all and had a great time jumping off rocks and stuff. Just watched the climbing though - got to get a whole new set of muscles back in shape before I get back to doing that regularly! Went out for a carvery dinner with family last night and again, couldn't finish all my food (this is highly unusual for me!).

Back up to 186lbs though at the moment...we'll see what happens when ToM goes. I'll be happy with 182ish I think then aim to get down to 180 for my next X meeting in November.

Covered in spots :( and have a new corporate photo due to be taken on Weds. Hoping like mad that they all clear up...but I think its unlikely.

So, I'm knackered! Every muscle in my body hurts! Back to work for a rest I reakon!

I have to go back to work to rest up too!!! LOL! I sit all day during the day, but fry my brain some does trying to figure out the solution to different computer software problems. I go home to rest my brain. But then if I overdo the exercise or work hard physically (but don't have to think too hard), then I need to go back to work to rest my body.

The cycle just goes on and on and on and on....

Hope you recover quickly!

I really need some big hugs, thoughts and prayers over the next couple of days. My mum got the all clear from breast cancer a year ago, but has found some more lumps and had pain in her side so they are doing a bone scan and ultrasound. It might just be nothing, or it might be really bad. I don't know how I'm going to cope if its bad. I really don't. please please please god let it be ok. I love her so much.

Oh God Jay, that made me go cold just reading it so I can't imagine how scared you must be. It will probably turn out to be nothing more than a scare but I know how worried you must be feeling. Sending you big hugs and positive good wishes to you and your mum and hope that it all turns out well for you. xxxxxx

Aww Jjjay,

Big hugs from this side of the pond for you and your mom. I hope everything turns out ok.
