Burlesque Babe

Hi Mystic, I just started reading from the start of your diary & really enjoyed reading it. You seem to have a very balanced approach to life in general & that will stand you in good stead with getting to your goal weight & maintaining it. You are very generous with your support, which is lovely.
One question- do the restaurants where you live give a calorie count for their meals? I so wish that happened here. Eating out is especially difficult In Aust. when you are trying to count calories.
I like your setting of mini goals. I had better start doing that, instead of aiming for too much too quickly & then getting disappointed. I'm going on vacation in 3 weeks from today & will set a mini goal of 1kg before then! Cheers, Cate

Thank you.
Yes, a lot of restaurants have their calories on their websites which is nice. Some places don't, but quite a number do.
The mini goals are nice, though I don't pay them a huge amount of attention it's nice when I do make them. Gives you something to look towards.
Today hasn't been a great day food wise. Haven't had a lot to do today so I've mostly been sitting around being bored, and of course that doesn't always lead to good things especially at my parents' house. Hoping to finish at about 200 cals over but that means only eating supper and having no snacks afterwards which is sometimes hard for me.
So, I've been riding my horse and it's been great to be able to ride him without any real fear that I might make his injury worse. He's really been feeling good and I've been able to increase his work. Gonna try to be at full work for sure before then end of April so he's at top condition for when we start jumping again.

Well, ended up at about 2150 calories. I would have liked to keep it to 2000 or better yet 1800 but this is why I eat 1500 calories during the week, so I can fit in more cals on the weekends. I am still below maintenance and I am below my cals for the week by about 1000 (aka. I had 1000 cals higher deficit this week so I should have lost even more weight than just my usual deficit)

Mystic I'm the same, when I'm bored it's like food calls my name. Its weird hey how we just want to nibble when we are bored.

Great job on the overall cals for the week and awesome to hear your horse is doing so well.

You are doing great!!
I am jealous of you guys - being able to eat over 2000 kcal and not gain..if i eat over 1200 kcal I put on weight. My metabolism is super slow!!! I don't think my body needs much energy to function.

Hey Mystic , good work on all the good choices & keeping calories in-check over Easter... ;) ...and that your deficit for the week is looking good....

glad to hear your horse's training is coming along nicely, bet you are getting excited for jumping season to be nearing closer...

Thanks guys!
You are doing great!!

I bet if you upped your calories, you would gain for a week or 2 as you body adjusts but give it a few weeks and I think you might lose at an even faster rate than you are now!!

I didn't really have an "easter" as all of my family was away and a lot of my friend's really don't celebrate it apart from with their family so I just hung with my friends as usual.

Today is so far going well. Should be able to nicely fit in my calories.

Mystic, I am also a fellow horseback rider. It is nice to have that in common with someone on the board. You sound like you have a great grasp on your loss! Good job!

Thanks. Cool that you ride too!
Finished up 32 calories over my 1500 cals because for some reason I had it in my mind that 1 tbsp of honey was 20 cals (I guess cause it's 20 grams) not 63 cals. Oh well. 32 calories isn't much. It'll be interesting to see what my weight is tomorrow morning since I haven't weighed since Friday morning.

Thanks!
I was up 0.4 which wasn't surprising with my higher sodium meals on the weekend but REALLY wanting to get to my mini goal. Trying to be really careful of my sodium, and actually trying to have less chocolate as that sometimes makes me hold water weight or something even when my sodium is low so we'll see. Wanna try to get back to the gym after this weigh in.

Thanks. Not holding my breath. I was still up 0.2 pounds from last friday's weigh in this morning. I seem to really be stuck lately. Le sigh.
Right at my 1500 calorie limit (6 cals over). Rode 2 horses today so got a bit of extra exercise in.

Popped in to say SO looking forward to lunch tomorrow! Having both egg salad and tuna, both in a bit of light miracle whip. Om nom nom! Still gonna be at or just under 2000mg sodium so I shouldn't be carrying extra water weight. Still not hopeful for my weigh in Friday.

Had a decent weigh in today. If I can hold that weight (or lose more) for tomorrow it will be at least a pound loss, which would mean I am finally losing at a semi normal rate after being almost stuck for a month. Still wouldn't make my goal but hopefully would make the next goal I make. Crossing fingers.

Yay for the good weigh in day! That salad sounds delicious!
Well done for getting that extra horse riding in!

THanks guys.
Was VERY tired after work today. Work had been slow for a few weeks and all of a sudden its been quite busy and my body isn't used to it!! So no riding today. :(
Should finish under my calories as my last 2 snacks are already planned out and work into my cals.

I'm a little sad no one is joining my monthly goal making post on the Challenges part of the forum. Crossing fingers SOME ONE will join so I am not all on my own!

I'll join you, usually I do but no one else was posting so I didn't want to be the lone ranger. Apparently you have more guts than I do. :)

Good work on your progress. The 130s aren't far away.
