Burlesque Babe

THank you.
Finished up a bit higher than I wanted to today. Finished at 1870 or so. Could eat around 2200 Sat and Sun or eat more one day and less the other day. Will have to see how things go.

I'm kinda tempted to eat at *roughly* maintenance for at least one week of my horse show. I've been having a bit of a hard time lately with my eating. It hasn't been so far off, just a little bit every day or 2. Maybe taking a week of having it be a bit more relaxed may help me to get back on track. OR it will make me want to eat even more. Still thinking about it.

So this morning my weight was much more normal. Weighed in at 137 which is the same as last weeks weigh in. Too bad I was so high on the scales yesterday for official weigh but I knew if wasn't cause I gained fat. Nice to see it back down closer to where it should have been.

Finished cals at about 2126 today, which means I have 2300 I could eat tomorrow. Did my workout (week 3, day 3) and this one is definitely difficult but also goes fairly fast. Went and watched show jumping at Spruce Meadows after my riding lesson bright and early this morning.

Now if only the front of me was progressing like my back is.

Thanks.
I think I am gonna continue my regular eating plan till at least after the shows, as I think packing food is gonna be a bit difficult at a calorie range I'm not really used to. It's my first time showing since I started losing weight so it'll be a trail run in and of itself.
I HATE working out at 10pm, but that's what happens when you are lazy and procrastinate the day away!!! But I got it done and I'm happy about that!
Had a good ride on my horse today, getting so close to my show and discovered a new way of riding him that is really gonna help us and improve us! Afterwards It was looking a bit stormy out but I thought it would miss us so I put my horse back outside. Just as I was about to drive away it starts HAILING hard!!! I quickly race back out and start to bring in as many horses as I could (the stalled horses don't have shelters in their runs as if the weather is poor they come in). It was raining so hard it was like having my eyes open while under water! I kept wiping the water out of my eyes but it was totally redundant. Brought in 4 horses when thankfully the hailing stopped, and the barn owner was on her way back home so she would bring the rest of the horses in when she got there. Got soaked to the bone.

Thanks. Finished day 4 of week 3!
Took my horse show jacket to an alteration place to get it dry cleaned then altered as it was swimming on me. When I first dropped it off she said it would be ready and dry cleaned that week Friday so I could come back in and get her to do the fitting. I went back there that Friday and it wasn't done yet. Had to go in the next day. Then she told me it would be finished and altered by today (as I told her I NEEDED to pick it up by tomorrow at the latest, as I need it for my show and would be way too busy Wednesday to pick it up). It ended up working out perfect to pick it up today as I didn't have to ride my horse as he was getting today off to rest before the show so I was gonna get everything done I needed to do. Well it wasn't DONE she hadn't even touched it yet! So she said it would be done tomorrow. So now I have to take extra time tomorrow to work all day, race back to the alterations place and get my jacket, roar off to get something done to my saddle I need done and could only do tomorrow, head to the barn and have a short lesson on my horse to prepare him for the show, then pack up all my show stuff. I probably won't get home till 8:30. So I gotta bring a long most of my food for the day.
Then Wednesday I work a half day then have to get the rest packed up for the show that I couldn't do the day before, pack up my trailer, load my horse and trailer him to the show, get his stall set up, check him in at the office, ride him, bath him, and get everything ready for Thursday when the show starts!

Hmpf you really don't need the extra stress there.
Hope everything else goes according to plan and you have a great show!

I hate it when places take their sweet time with stuff when you tell them you need it as quickly as possible.

Hopefully you make it through okay.

Thanks guys. Today was a long day and my workout did not get down. :(
I did not end up getting home till 9pm, and of course had not eaten supper and such. I almost made it a 'whatever' day. I bought a couple packages of gummy worms/bears as I didn't really bring enough food with me for how long I was gonna be out of the house. Amazingly I was able to pull myself together and finished up at about 1600 cals for the day. (which is what I finished up at yesterday). My horse was a bit of a turd so my ride took longer than expected.
It's gonna be another long day tomorrow, though hopefully not as long as today's as I have a pretty short workday. Maybe I can do today's workout tomorrow if I get home at a reasonable hour.

So I decided I will take a hiatus from working out till after the show. Shows are just too exhausting to have any energy to workout yet afterwards. I'm gonna try to workout Monday and Tuesday of next week, then pick it up again the next week. Got in over 10,000 steps today just doing what I need to do for the show, I also helped move some jump equipment so sorta got a small workout in.
It wasn't quite as long of a day today as yesterday, but was tiring enough. Groomed 3 dogs, then had to stop off at Spruce Meadows to have something done to my saddle. Raced off to my barn to get the last bits of stuff ready to go. We then loaded my horse and stuff up and headed to the show. Got to the show and had to get my horse's stall ready, unload him and all my stuff. Set it all up by his stall, go to the show office and check in. Got my horse ready to ride and gave him a good 45 min school. Untacked him then gave him a good bath (his first bath since September!) and let him graze. As I was grazing him a world renowned International Show Jumper was riding (looked like they were looking for a horse for a student of her's to by) so I got to watch her ride some (she's down for the big Spruce Meadows shows, not the smaller show I'm at). After my horse was mostly dry I put him back in his stall and fed him his dinner before going to help move jumps.
On a side note. I tried on my tailored jacket again today (had been in a bit of a rush when I picked it up) and she didn't move the buttons like she was supposed to. I wondered why it still looked pretty baggy, but since I didn't have any time to fix it anyways I just took it like it was. THe sleeves sit a bit funky. She's not the best seamstress.
Ate great during the day, but my tiredness at the end of the day left me eating a little more than I wanted. Finished at 1890 or so, which isn't horrid but I have to be more careful for the rest of the week.

1890 wont kill ya
Enjoy you horse showing.
You will get right back into the workout groove as soon as things normal out.

Good news and bad news today.
Good news: Had a good show day today. My horse was good. We had a rail down in each class but for so many months out of the show ring and only started jumping 6 weeks ago he was really good. Gonna move up to the next height division tomorrow.
Bad news: I did great on my eating all day till I got home. The tiredness hits you hard and you just want to sit and veg. I ended up finishing up at about 2500 cals. I decided that I will reset my cals to maintenance for this week. WIll see about next weeks horse show and what I do. Will definitely eat 1500 monday and tuesday, and try for that on wednesday, then go from there.

BTW, HIGH sodium day today so tomorrow's weigh in is NOT gonna be pretty!

LOL! Every time I go crazy with sodium, I dread the next weigh in! Even though I know it's just water weight, it still sucks to see the scale go the other way. BTW, are you near Calgary? Before she passed, I had a (favorite) aunt who lived there... I saw the Calgary Stampede once and absolutely loved the whole scene. I've been talking with my wife about maybe coming up for it someday, as she and the kids would love it.

Thanks guys. So I decided screw it, I'm not gonna try for maintenance cals. I am gonna limit myself to 2000 cals for tomorrow and Sunday. I will be over my usual (1800/day) weekly cals but not up to maintenance. I think if I keep having such high cal bad food days for too many days (even if it is only to maintenance that I might end up off track and I won't let that happen.
So I finished off today (bad eating day, good show day) at just over 2500 cals. Tomorrow And Sunday I will do 2000 cals, then mon-Wednesday I will do 1500 cals then 2000 cals for the rest of the week.
