Burlesque Babe

Thanks feelinggooder, glad to see you back. Hopefully Brawny will follow suite!

Today's been good so far. Got off work early so went to the gym first before riding. Did 30 mins on the treadmill (2.77 miles, 300 calories, or so it says haha) then did lower body weights. Tomorrow I will do upper body weights then sunday I will do lower body weights again.
Went to the barn and rode and my horse was fantastic.
Made a couple new chicken recipes. First was Dijon Chicken, pretty good. Second was called Soy Garlic Chicken. REALLY yummy. will be making this again! Both under 200 calories!

Yea I realised the other day I've been the same weight 4 weigh ins in a row, really cracking down on myself this week. Determined to see a loss! I'm sure we can both get it done!

It SUCKS staying at the same weight! Haha.
I finished off the day well. Made cupcakes that are only about 40 calories each. I was over by 5 calories but I am not stressed about that, haha. Weight loss here I come!

Hi Mystic - sorry to hear you were feeling not so great - hope you are better.
Half-way to your goal - great work gal - you are on a roll now...keep it going..
~ I love your ticker - butterflies and sunshine so much nicer than all that white-stuff we have here these days... View attachment 19271

Your chicken recipes sounds yummy- dijon , soy garlic - are they from skinnytaste site? ... I am starting to get bored with making same stuff all the time - some new variations would be nice...

Good work on getting back to the gym, and keeping on target with your calories - it is funny how you adapt and do start to get full with less calories...suprising.. glad to hear your cravings are better....

keep it rolling Mystic, good work, and don't worry about that darn scale- it will catch up soon & show all that hard work yu are doing ...

cheers, Maryann

Thanks guys. Haha MrVee.
The two recipes I used were (both modified as I didn't have all ingredients, and am picky)
Dijon Chicken

OMG I didn't bookmark the soy garlic recipe, and I just spent the last 30 mins trying to find it, and CAN'T!! I think I found it on pinterest but not directly. I think I clicked on some recipe then on that page I found the soy garlic recipe. WAH!! I gotta find it again. I know most of the ingredients as I put it on MFP but I don't always add the little spices to it. Grrr!

Today was a great day!!! I had a cheat meal today, but I was careful throughout my day and even with eating a pasta dish, garlic bread, AND had cookie dough ice cream for dessert I was UNDER my calories!! Under my calories enough to have one of my 40 calorie cupcakes when I got home!!!!! Go me! I also went to the gym and went on the elliptical for 30 minutes, and did full upper body work out! And I went to the barn and had a great jump school on my horse!! Saw Mother Mother in concert which was awesome!

Btw, FINALLY found the website for that chicken recipe! For some reason I kept thinking soy GARLIC and it was soy ginger (maybe I even used garlic when I made it... whoops). Anyways here's that recipe. It was so good!

Oh yum! They both look amazing ... thanks for posting! I might have to wait until I am back in a fully equipped household over Christmas (no point buying ingredients I can't carry with me the next time I move, which is likely early January), but I'm sure I can feed my family both, they'll love them and won't even KNOW they just had something low-cal :)

You're welcome.
Just got back from the gym. Did 30 mins on the treadmill (2.92 miles, 6.5 speed, 6 min intervals), then did lower body weights. I took a bicep 'flexing' pic so I can track progress.

WOOO biceps!!! Lookin good girly!!! Haha cool photo too, so trippy you can see two other reflections of yourself in the background. Love your workout gear too!!

Look at those muscles. I haven't had biceps like that since... well ever actually. I might have them now, but they're buried beneath a dozen years worth of pizzas. Nice work.

It also seems that you're over your cold/illness, so congrats on that too.

THanks guys. THat's my natural muscling (helped out a bit by riding and my job) so it will be interesting to see what a few months of lifting will do to it.
Yes, I am pretty much over my cold which is awesome. Today was the first day I could swallow while working out, instead of having a big clump of flem choking me.
Thanks, I liked the way I looked in my workout gear today. That's always helpful!

Today is going well. Work was a bit crazy cause I accidentally slept in ti 830 and I actually needed to be at work at 745!!! Thank goodness my other groomer was working today(she usually doesn't work Mondays) so there was someone there to take in my dogs!
Breakfast was a bit funky as I just grabbed my bag of salt and vinegar potatoe puffs that wear by the door from last night on my race out the door. But they are really low cal so it worked fine. Just an odd breakfast food. Eating well so far. Heading off to my dance class and still have enough calories for a big bowl of yogurt and an apple with PB if I want when I get home!

So i finished off the day 5 calories over again, but I have had a few days this week where I was under calories by a fair bit (and it's only 5 calories haha) so it's fine.. I made Sweet and Sour Chicken for supper. I ended up having 2 bowls of yogurt to end my day rather than 1 bowl yogurt and an apple with PB. Gotta make some more Cupcakes! They are so good for 65 calories (I originally thought they were 40 calories but my calorie counter when putting in my recipe kept changing my cream cheese for one container to one tablespoon), make some more pizza muffins, and new scones before my buttermilk goes bad.

Today has been ok. I have eaten fine but I should have gone to the gym today but I was a bit stressed out and frustrated (no specific reason, just cause) and I only got home from the barn at 7.

Well, days off are good too. You sound like you're very active at work, so the occasional relaxing evening is certainly earned. If you wanted to exercise at home, you could crack walnuts with your biceps and forearms. :santa:

That is a nice bicep/delt pack there! That's what I want - all I get are "baby shoulders" (though I do spend more time flexing in front of the mirror than I used to).

Keep up the good work!

Just did measurements today.
