Good job on the run Brawny! It all starts wight he first step...set small time goals first...run for 30 sec, walk 1 min, then run 30 sec, wal 1 min...and repeat that for 10 min this week, then move up to running 45 sec, then walk 1 min etc, etc etc...always keep the 1 min walk break even if you get up to running 10 min at a time! You'll find that recovery is much better!
Keep up the good choices!

I am up to 40 seconds now. I do it on the high school track so here is how it goes. First I walk 2 laps (800 meters) then I run (chug) for 40 seconds which gets me about a third of the way around the track. Then I walk the rest of the lap. I do that 3 more times and then walk another 3 or 4 laps to total 2 and a half miles or so. My goal is to run a whole lap before sept.

Exercised 7 out of 10 days in aug. thus far. Gonna try and beat my 22 out of 31 in July.
Gonna get these scales movin even if it kills me!

Good job Brawny! Don't let it kill you man! Nothing is worth your life!! You keep up your routine and you'll get that lap down in September! Nothing wrong with a walk break now!!

Well...Guess what? Give up?
Lost 3.2 lb last week!......finally....holy cow, I was stuck for 2 weeks...but no more...274.8
This is the lightest I have been in 15 years!
Ran four times for one minute within my 3 mile walk tonight. Felt great!
Funny how I'm talking like 274 is light. Still so far to go but at least I fought through that nasty plateau.

Congrats! That's a great loss! And congrats on being the lightest in 15 years!

I totally understand the "how fat I am with every step" during a run! I want to start running again, but won't until 1 - my knee is better and 2 - when the baby is older and I can get away for a decent length of time. It was bad enough trying to squeeze in 25 mins of a workout at home!!

Nice loss!
Doing great on the running.

Just make sure you have good running shoes when you start to run faster and further.

Excellent Brawny!! So proud of you and very glad to see you on track!
Keep up the good choices...and walk/run routine!!

Sarah

Didnt exercise last night, had a school board meeting but I will hit it hard tonight.
New- 269 by sept 1
That's pretty lofty with how slow I have been going but I am hoping as my jogging increases so will my losses.
It is hard to keep pushing along. I allow myself one cheat meal at a restaurant per month. Last month I craved Mexican food. I am due one this month but I don't want to erase the progress I just saw after being stuck for 2 weeks.....sigh......

Glad to see your running is paying off. Nice job powering through the plateau!

Let me know how much weight loss the 269 goal and I will set my goal for September 1st the same. We can lose it together!

Woo hoo!

Way to get that scale moving. I've always felt that at some point there needs to be adjustment so that you can walk into any restaurant without any real anxiety. Can't tell you how many extra dollars I've had to spend to replace the fries that come with a meal into a side salad.

Good news and bad news...
Ran for 70 seconds 4 times within my 3 mile walk tonight but now I have a nasty blister on my heal. I am gonna get into the football teams training room tomorrow ( one advantage of being superintendent) and dress it really good with second skin and tape and give it a try but I may have to revert to the stationary bike for a few days.
This is a prime example of what we must work through to accomplish our weight loss and fitness goals. Life can delay us but we gotta adapt reset and persevere. I choose to live life inspired. I get knocked down but I get up again...you know that song right?....
