Good work on cycling. You may be able to pick up a yellow livestrong bracelet for cheap now to help with your cycling attire.

I have ridden (rode? spun? pedaled? occupied with vigor?) my bike 8 out of 9 days now. Only saw a 1.2lb loss last week. I am a little bummed with that number but I guess I must be happy with any loss and learn that it is not gonna just roll off me like it used to.

My weight went up when I first started exercising. Stick with it and you'll start to shed the pounds once your body adjusts a little.

That one made me more than chuckle. Needed a good laugh

Well fighting through a kinda hard day. Hard to keep food from jumping into my mouth. I am about 1100 cal right now which is about 300 ahead of where i should be so Im gonna have to dial down evening calories which for me is a hard thing to do but Im getting my head in line with that...damn pita chips.

Went over but not terribly. (200 or so). Probably still had a deficit. But...off to a great start today! Rode bike 25 minutes and 7 miles. I know, for all you young-uns out there thats nothin but for me I am at least at what I call a respectable workout. I will be at 30 in a few more days which is really about what I want on most days.

Interesting how evenings are so dangerous to my plans. I really am tempted to do some eating then. Consuming more calories earlier doesnt help and in fact I think it hurts. My best strategy seems to be to stay at 700-900 calories before 5 then 700- 900 from 5 till 8 then cut it all off at 8.

Know thyself.

I do something similar. I eat 400-600 for lunch/snack, then I eat supper at 6 then leave myself 450-700 for between 7-9.

I'm the opposite. Once I've had dinner I either don't eat any more or it's a real fight to not overeat on the late snack. I think as I get tired my will power wans.

Good job with staying close on the calories. A couple hundred won't be hard to make up.

I've stuck fairly closely to a "550, 85, 450, 85, 800, 140" meal plan, with the 550 and 450 often reversed depending on what's for breakfast and what's for lunch. Then I get 90 calories worth of play if I need it.

If and when I jack my diet back up to 2700 calories when I reach wherever I stop, I'm thinking I'm going to be adding most of them to the dinner and dessert portions, with maybe a little more for lunch too.

That is EXACTLY the behavior I've been struggling with the most.
Looking at my spreadsheet on which I track all my meals, I can finally see a shift. Before starting my new regimen, I was consuming between 40-60% of my daily calories after 6pm, including dinner and the train of snacks following. In the past two weeks, I've FINALLY switched that: 40-60% of my calories before noon (biggest meal is breakfast) and the rest distributed through the day, ending by 7pm. NO snacks at night has been a BEAR to change.

"Know thyself" Hmmm, maybe I should add that to my signature line.

Hey, good job picking yourself up after overeating in calories & Doing the exercise! Well done!
My trick usually is to have herbal tea in the evening (after dinner that is) - when i m not in a pigging out week (as it was the case this week)

25 minute bike ride is good in my eyes. I wish I can get 25 minutes. Don't fret too much about the days you went over your cals, just get your head back in the game and push forward. Knock down that BEAR on its backside!!

Rode again I think thats 9 out of 11 days. Exercise is getting better and better but still struggling with eating. At least my increased exercise is burning more. Still, I can tell I am making slow progress. Gonna weigh in Monday. Maybe I will do a bit better this week.

Slow progress beats no progress....Charge!

Great job on the cycling. I'm still only doing 20 minute workouts.

Does your hunger go away after a workout, or get worse? My appetite is GONE for about 2 hours post workout.

Good luck on your weigh in monday! Just take it one day at a time with the eating. Trying to eat 50 calories less each day or something so it's small and doable!

Love "slow progress beats no progress"!

Monday will show positive results as you've been a workout machine!

Well "slow progress" may have to be my new name.
Busted out only 1.4 lbs this week. I wasnt perfect this weekend but I was still thinking I had more off than that.
One good thing- My exercise tolerance is rapidly improving. I rode 30 minutes (8 miles) on Saturday and didnt blink an eye. As that comes up I am bound to lose a little more.

I still have room to get more focused on my eating. Looking back and being completely honest, I can see about 3000 calories total last week that should not have been there. that would have been almost a pound more off which I would have been happy with.

Focus, Focus, Focus
