I HATE biking haha. I have done it a few times for my workouts, and really don't like it. But I know it's good to mix it up so I add it in! Good job with the longer times!!

I LOVE riding my bike. I used to ride everywhere when I was living in the city- to get around more than for exercise, the latter was just a bonus. Keep it up!!!

I think it's definitely a bit different when on a real bike rather than a stationary! I never biked much but was never apposed to an actual bike ride.

If only the recliner with pedals came with an elective motor as well. I have to admit that I've considered wearing rollerblades on a treadmill before... have to find ways to make exercise easier one way or another.

How goes the mauling?

I put on my ipod...strap myself on the recumbant, hit play and journey musically back in time to the days of my youthful frolicing (did I spell frolicing right? Too lazy to look it up, Does this thing have a spell check?...but I digress. Did I spell digress right? AAAHHHHH)

Ok I am a doofuss (spelled phonetically). I forgot to weigh in this morning. After all that. When I thought of it I had already eaten a bowl of cereal and drank about a half a gallon of coffee.

I will do it in the morning and report...I put a post it on the coffee pot

~ Interesting ....( yah- nurdy- but the "scientist" in me had to check it out ) - just "weighed" 1 mug-full of liquid from my coffee-cup on my kitchen scale- it weighs 8oz. = 1/2lb. - so YES - if you GUZzzle tons of cups of coffee & weigh-in before your body can process & clear it out ....U could be adding a pound or more of coffee-weight to your weigh-in...( too funny....)

~ here is some information that was included in the warranty brochure that came with my new bathroom scale I just got ( it's weight-watchers ' brand - so info is not suprising:) ( this new scale also fun for me - it's first digital one I've ever had - 0.5pound, 0.3pound....kind-of fun...can really accurately see even small shifts in weight....)

Body weight fluctuates during the day, and from day to day, depending on a variety of factors.

.salt and carbohydrate intake can affect the body's water retention

.a large meal adds weight and can cause water retention

.dehydration from exercise, illness, or low fluid intake can result in weight loss ( from fluid loss).

.muscle is also a factor. Heavy-duty resistance training can build muscle, which can affect weight.

...

It is a lot harder to get going on an exercise bike. I used to love it in the form of a spin class though! Yea Brawny I'd be lost without my Ipod, it keeps me sane through my sweat and tears!

A280.4.....lost 2.2 ...for me now that's a good week. For me 10 years ago that would be a good 2 days....Oh well actually I am quite happy with that ..now time for coffee to give me courage to crawl on the bike. I am 6 lbs away from a 15 year low. ....wow...I could do that by nov...my birth day is Nov 17. Turning 48 at a 15 year low. Is a heck of a lot better than at a 15 year high. Dang I'm getting close to 50...what up with that?...time really flys ...but Overall. Life is good!
Have a great Monday my friends

AYeahhh Brawnwy, lost another 2.2 pounds!! Way to go ...next time you'll surely be in the 270's!! Inch by inch, it's a sinch!!
Keep up the good work you fat mauler you!!

Sarah

2.2 lbs in a week ain't too shabby, man.

General reference, 1 gallon of water weighs about 7.5 lbs. I'd use that same number for any liquid you drink. Cereal.... you're on your own, but I think you can use some maths and the nutrition guidelines to figure out how much your cereal weighed.

Then again, you can just weigh yourself the next day.

2.2 lbs in a week is great work. Glad to see the hard work paying off. Should make climbing back on the bike and meal preparations a whole lot easier for this week.

Huzzah! for the snowball of momentum you have going.
