I only buy whole grain crackers. They don't have less calories, but they actually fill me up. I can't eat the whole row. Which I totally used to do with saltines. I still keep crackers in the car 'cause if I get REALLY hungry, I need something to eat, and if I stop at a gas station I'm gonna end up with a bag of chips.

Funny story...First, yes, I realize I am burrito obsessed. It's basically comfort food for me. I don't know why. I'm a pale-a** white girl from Wisconsin. Anyway, I went to Q'doba today and ordered my usual, a vegetarian burrito, no cheese, no sour cream, no guacamole. Basically just beans and rice on a tortilla, hot sauce on the side. The guy behind the counter was like, you know it's cheaper if you order a bean and rice burrito instead of a vegetarian burrito. I'm like, what? (There is no bean and rice burrito on the menu...I thought that's what a vegetarian burrito was.) He says it's way cheaper, tell the cashier it's a bean and rice burrito. OK, that's what I tell the cashier. They only charged me $1.78 for the stupid thing. Basicaly just charged me for extra rice and extra beans. I've been paying like $5.50 a pop for vegetarian f-ing burritos. I can't BELIEVE no one has mentioned this the 50 times I've ordered this before.
 
Did 45 minutes on the treadmill this morning...stuck to 3 mph and no incline. My shins feel quite a bit better today. Still a little tight. Gonna try to take it easy for a few days. Worked out to Nine Inch Nails "Down the Spiral" this morning. (Inspired by SirPedroEC)

I'm gonna add dream diary to the list of things this journal has become. It's seems like I've remembered a lot more dreams since I've started working out. I had a dream about tornados last night. I was riding on a bus with some friends/familiy (I don't remember who) to someplace fun (I don't remember where, but we where still in my town when it happened). The bus driver pulled the bus over and made us all get out and lay in the ditch. There were at least 6 small tornados in the sky, coming straight for us. Most of the tornados missed us, but one was a direct hit. It wasn't really all that bad. Then I woke up. Feel free to interpret, I think I know what it means in relation to my life, other than the fact that tornados scare me. *laugh*

wow looks like a lot of food for those few calories.

Thanks! That's really what I'm trying for with my diet. Maximum fullness, maximum satiety, maximum nutrition for a minimum number of calories. I don't like that super-hungry feeling and try to avoid it at all costs.

Spent 45 minutes on the treadmill this morning. Slow but steady. Shins seem to be back to normal today. Yay!!! I'm going to continue to take it slow this week (My seventh straight week of exercise. Woot!), and then have a "rest" week next week where I only walk 30 minutes a day. In 2 1/2 weeks, I'm going to start the Couch to 5k running plan. Should be interesting.

Had a dream about applying to college and signing up for classes. It's been a while since I've been in college, so....weird.

Turns out I don't like rutabaga. At least not the way I prepared it. Maybe I didn't cook it long enough? It was not good. I still managed to choke down a half a cup. I like most veggies, and I'm always looking for more, but rutabaga is a big "heck no". Good to know, I guess.
 
Did a nice 45 minutes on the treadmill this morning. Slow but steady. Saw a new low on the scale this morning, too, 166.6. Kind of an evil weight, but I'm happy to be going in the right direction. My little turtle is plodding along down there, no doubt motivated by the carrots.

Another dream last night. I still can't believe how many I've remembered since starting to exercise every day.

Started out with me being at a baby shower with famous people. Somehow, it turned into a product demonstration. Two people were demonstrating a sort of "gun" (not a bang-bang gun) that shot out oil. They ended up shooting oil all over my clothes, and then laughed about it and said it would wash out. When I got mad, they offered to reimburse me for the clothes if I stuck around after the show. I remeber my clothes not being worth much (about $10 apiece) but sticking around for the priciple. I had to meet them after the demo in their giftshop. I was wandering around the giftshop, picking out earings, which I was going to buy with the money for my clothes. There was a lot of people waiting to talk to the demo-ers. I ended up waiting until after the shop was closed, and they turn off the lights. I remember being mad about them turning off the lights. While I was waiting, I ran into a guy I knew in high school. He was being a jerk (he was in HS, too) and we got in a fight. This started a brawl, which I managed not to be a part of. The police came and took away the brawlers, but also ended up taking a friend of mine who wasn't in the fight, just because he was black.

There seems to be a general theme of injustice, but I don't know where that's coming from in my life. Interesting how the mind works.
 
Bummer on the burritos, at least someone finally told you!

I remember my dreams a lot too. I had a great one last night where I had my first experience lucid dreaming. Lucid dreaming is basically where you realize that you're dreaming, so you can do whatever you want.

I was at the anime convention that I'm losing all my weight for, and I suddenly realized that my costume wasn't done. I went to walmart to buy stuff to pull an all nighter to get it done, and I suddenly realized that I would have lost all of my weight if I was at the convention, and i knew i was only like 40% there. All of the sudden I went "This must be a dream! I bet I can fly!" and took off. It was great.
 
Today was a very yummy day. No rutagbaga. *smile* What I had for dinner (soba noodles with broccoli and peanut sauce) is one of my favorite meals. The peanut sauce is a little high calorie, but the buckwheat noodles, broccoli and edamame are very filling, so it works out.

45 minute walk on the treadmill this morning. Listened to Prince's "The Hits/The B-sides" Disc 1. I tend to save the angry/loud music for Mon-Thur and play something happy/mellow on Fridays.

Hit another new low on the scale this morning. 166!!! Yippee! I can see the 150's coming.

sorry if you already covered this but what exactly is rutabaga? I'm gathering it's some sort of veggie, but I've never heard of it. ???

Rutabagas are also known as swedes or neeps. They are a big, round, starchy root vegetable.

I was out of town pretty much all weekend. Makes for a rather unhealthy/high calorie diet. Oh well. Only gained a pound. Didn't "work out" this morning, but did spend an hour and a half raking leaves. That was PLENTY of cardio. Here's the diet log for the last three days. Calories are approximate and I can't guarantee this is everything, I didn't write it all down until last night.
