I'm feeling a lot more giggly myself today. I'm glad no one thinks I'm an alcoholic. *grin* However, I will be having a bit more Scotch tonight, I think. I have a lovely Dalmore 12 year that numbs my mouth up nicely. Kills the germs, too. I won't have nearly as much as last night, though. Feel free to join me saturdaysaint. Dress code is very casual.
 
Mouth is feeling a bit better today. I seem to be on the way to recovery.

Holy crap, it's snowing! There at least 6 inches on the ground already, and it's still going strong. I made it to work, but the roads are terrible. Good think I only work a few miles from my house. Didn't "work out" this morning, but did shovel snow for at least 30 minutes, probably 45. That is certainly some good exercise!

Finished my Christmas shopping today. Yay!! Need to start wrapping. Took a nice long walk in the snow. It was such a beautiful sunny day. My husband always says he wants to move someplace warmer, but I would miss winter in the Midwest. Yeah, sometimes it sucks, but today was one of the days that makes up for the suckiness.
 
Well, yesterday was, um, interesting as far as eating goes. We had some people over for a football party/open house. So most of my "meals" consisted of grazing. I'm not gonna add up the calories. It was a lot. Here's what i ate.

Anyway, did 30 minutes on the treadmill. I was going to start the Couch to 5K plan this morning, but I kept blowing the stupid circuit with the treadmill every time I upped the speed to run. I need an electrician. So, I just walked fast and let it go.

Started the Couch to 5K program today. With warm-up and cool-down it comes to 30 minutes of running and walking. I made it all the way through, no problems. Yippee! I'm also back down to the weight I was just before Thanksgiving. Very happy about that.

Did another day of the Couch to 5K program today. I'm planning on repeating week 1 next week, because I didn't do three days this week and I really want to ease into it so I don't get injured. I am so proud of myself, though. I have NEVER been in shape. Never. I wasn't an athlete in high school. I wasn't really active as a kid. And now I'm actually exercising almost every day. This is the longest I think I have ever stuck with an exercise plan. And I'm running. Slowly, and for short periods of time, but running. And my dream of being able to run one mile is only a month or two away. I'm so happy--I'm actually a little misty-eyed.

Anyway, I won't be around for a few days. I'm leaving for a short vacation and won't be back until Sunday night. I hope everyone has a great weekend.
 
Wow. It's been longer than I thought since I posted in my diary. I've been around the forum, just ignoring this particular thread. Oh well. I've still been logging my weight, exercise and occasionally food, just not posting it. Life has been busy and my focus had shifted away from weight loss slightly. Not completely, but enough. However, I'm getting back on the horse and I'm not waiting until the first of the year.

I worked out Wednesday (30 minutes of running and walking) and yesterday (30 minutes of walking) but not this morning. I have been running on empty the last few days. I am so exhausted I can barely keep my eyes open, and I've been getting around 8 hours of sleep. I think I am fighting some bug, I've been nauseous on and off the last few days and I had a headache yesterday, too. No, I'm not pregnant. *laugh* However, I thought it would be best to get some extra sleep so I slept in this morning. I'll sleep in again tomorrow.

I've gained a pound or two over Christmas, but hopefully it will come off quickly now that the holiday parties are over and all of my houseguests have gone home (this morning, finally). Here is my food log for the last two days:

Love the post, wishes. *grin* Yesterday was hangover day, so my menu reflects that. I didn't even divide it into meals. Today is back to my normal schedule. I worked out this morning. Thirty minutes of running and walking on the treadmill. I'm drinking a bottle of water as I type and I had a healthy breakfast. Yay me! *laugh* I just need to keep it up for the rest of my life. *grin*

They do make diet cherry Coke, but I don't like diet soda. It's yucky. *grin* I really just try to avoid soda all-together. Eh.
 
30 minutes on the treadmill at 3.2 mph this morning. Back up to 166.4 on the scale. I think I am permanantly stuck in the upper 160's. I will never leave. :(
