Blackwdw's Diary

Well, the scale was an unfriendly jerk this morning. 164. Crap. I'm trying to be philosophical about it. After all, I'm not on a diet, I intend to eat healthy and exercise for the rest of my life. So it really doesn't matter what the scale says today, because eventually it will go down, and continue to do so until I find a nice, healthy comfortable weight that I can maintain with my new lifestyle. Doesn't matter how fast it moves, right? Right? Wrong. I want it to go faster. *laugh* Oh well. I'm OK...no cliff jumping, I promise. I'm just glad it's Friday. Work sucks.

Walked for 30 minutes on the treadmill this morning. Most of the soreness is gone, so tomorrow I'll do some running. No more squats until Tuesday, though. The good news is that my thighs are feeling more rock-like every day. The lower parts, at least. Upper thighs are still pretty jello-y. Also, I'm wearing pants today that I haven't worn in a year. Woot!

I  Fordhooks !!

Sheesh, your menu should be in the WLF Hall of Fame.

You're so disciplined !! I'd need to hit the Powerball and hire a personal chef to fiddle with a menu like that ;) I swear, I couldn't do what you do.

Thanks, T2. I'm a total foodie. I love to eat (you'll notice, I do so almost constantly!), love to cook, love grocery shopping and love to watch cooking shows. I've just turned my love away from cheese covered fried foods and american "standards", and toward veggies, healthy foods and a lot of ethnic stuff. I really enjoy what I eat, I just wish I could eat more of it. *laugh* If you ever do win the lottery, let me know, I'd love to be a personal chef.

Edited to add: They're actually supposed to be edamame, not lima beans. But, whatever makes ya drool. *grin*

(This next part deals with "female" things, so skip if you are so inclined.)
Anyway, the hormones have finally shifted, and so has the scale. 162.4 this morning. Happy? Well, yes, I'm glad I'm not 164, but I basically haven't lost anything in the last week and a half. I love being a woman, but sometimes I think this all would be a lot easier if I was a man. No offense, guys. I know you're working hard too. It just seems like there's a 1 to 1.5 weeks a month where I lose nothing. It really puts a dent in that whole 1 pound a week thing. Plus, my last cycle was only 3 weeks, which means less than two weeks of weight loss before another week of crap. Ugh.
*end of rant*

rotfl at the throwing things at the scale!

Man your av, every time i see them green lollies or beans or whatever they are i get a major attack of the drools :D

Have a great day!

Thanks, Wishes. My av is like a rorschach test. Everyone sees something different. I see edamame (soybeans). T2 sees lima beans. And you see candy. *laugh*

nono, i said lollies or beans!

I said lollies first because i crave lollies more than beans - ive never been much of a bean fan.

So what is it of anyway?

It's supposed to be a picture of edamame, which are fresh soybeans. I lurve them. Who knows, though. I just stole it of the web. *smile*
