BikiniBound's Diary

University of Toledo?!?!? :biggrinjester: I hate being a Lions fan on a side note!!

Tell me about it. :cuss: I've given up on them--Lions and Wolverines that is--this season. I'm joining the Michigan St bandwagon..lol. I hope either they or Penn St wins the Big 10 this year--anyone but the *uckeyes. :D

GO SPARTANS!!

Glad to hear the move in day is getting closer and closer.

Good afternoon. :)

Hiya. Yup, getting closer. Got the countertops in yesterday. I was worried I wouldn't like them, but I do. The flooring is sitting in the garage waiting to be installed by David and his buddy this weekend. I suspect we will move in next weekend--hopefully! :hurray: That doesn't mean we'll be done, but the rest of the stuff we can do while we're living there.

Not at all happy with where my weight has been lately. It should be at least 3 lbs lower. :ack2:

Her main problem is that she is 5'3" and weighs about 380lbs.

 I remember you mentioned that. Poor lady! :( That is a lot of weight to carry around, even if she's a young 59 ;)

Sorry your grandpa falls so much. Does he use a walker or cane? That could help him keep his balance. It's dangerous for him to fall so much--he could easily break bones from it.

No, he doesn't need one--he just seems to get into these weird situations. My dad had vertigo--maybe he has it and doesn't know it

I don't blame you for swearing. Hormones are rough enough without pregnancy! At least you got a great deal on the home improvement items! I think a Halloween party is a great idea!

Don't sweat about the weight too much--if you're eating right and everything is A-OK, then....well, whatever, you're gonna feel how you feel! I sure as hell ain't going to try to tell you otherwise! :ack2:

Hey Kimberly,

Just stoppin in to say hey :) Glad to hear it looks like things are going smooth with with the remodel and painting of the condo. It'll be so great when you finally get to move in!

-Sam

It looks like you're maintaining and I'd say with a baby on the way that is great! :hurray:

It looks like you're maintaining and I'd say with a baby on the way that is great! :hurray:

I wish I were maintaining...lol I'm up 5lbs from 3 weeks ago. :ack2: Unfortunately, with my mom in the hospital and trying to work on the condo, I've been eating too much fast/junk food. Today was a lot better aside from a half a can of Pringles. :blush5: I'm hoping a lot of it is water retention due to eating pretty high sodium lately.

Sam--Thanks for stopping by. Once the first floor is finished, I'll post b/a pics.

Val--If your grandpa is falling frequently and/or has trouble with his balance, it wouldn't hurt to use a cane. I know some people as they get older are stubborn about admitting they might need one, but if it keeps him from breaking bones it's worth it imo. My gran's been using a cane for years for the same reason. She fell and had a bad break in her leg, and hasn't been the same since.

Latest condo update--bet you're all sick of them by now..haha. The kitchen sink is back in place after being taken out for the countertop install, plus a new faucet installed. This one has a removable sprayer that the old one lacked. Also, beadboard is on the breakfast bar backing. I'll get to paint that to match the cabinets tomorrow. I think flooring will begin to be installed tomorrow.

Catching Up with Ya!

:grouphug: Hi ya doll.

Wonder why no one will take the chance and build healthy/quick/affordable 'fast food' places?

Wouldn't that be great?

You can only eat so much Subway, and even with them you have to READ the facts and be careful..

In this day/time, healthy places would be 110% popular!

If I had the money, I'd start up a Pita Pizza place. :biggrinjester:

Speaking of money,

Obama did soooooooooooooo well lastnight! :D

McCain continued to make himself/and his party look even more foolish.
If they ever make another 'Grumpy Old Men' movie, he should get the star roll.

I couldn't help but yell at the t.v. -

I have always been more on the Rep. side of things bc of 'Christian type' issues, but this time around there just isn't a choice.

I strongly disagree with many of Obama's comments re: the bible and at one time he was even mocking scriptures - but the key and urgency at this time is a new plan and the economy...You'll be pleased to know that I almost missed the deadline but still made it. :)

I'll be voting for Obama. ;)

I still want to move, but things are too expensive for a move like that.

We may be able to save enough to get out of Texas at least.
AR and TN have a better cost of living ratio right now than TX.
Maybe after the 1st of the year and when Obama can start working and acting things will improve at a quick pace and we can really get back on our feet.
Cory would love to get out of TX schools bc of stupid Bush and what he did here with TAKS Testing.. He RUINED our school systems here!!

The past 5 years we have watched A+ - B+ students miss out on Graduation/Diplomas just bc they didn't pass the dumb-ass TAKS test.

I can't wait till that idiots out of power!

Do you watch the Rachael Maddow show? (msnbc)

I've been wanting to ask ya..

OMG - her show has been so great the past 2 weeks showing all the craziness/lies re: McCain/Palin.
I love her jokes as well. Very smart/well rounded lady.

I have also enjoyed all of the shows on msnbc..They do fantastic political coverage.

Can't wait to see the condo picks doll!

~Have A Goal Reachin' Thursday!~

Stacy, sweetie, your post made me so happy I'm crying right now. :)

Knock me over with a feather and call me a monkey's uncle. :D I can't believe I just read what I did, but I sure am glad you decided to vote for change. I watched that debate, too, and I think it was the best one of the three. I had a rotten evening, and reading your post just cheered me up. I'm so glad you've decided to be proactive and help get our country back on track. I have the utmost respect for McCain and his exemplary service to our country, but I think Obama is the man for the times. And re abortion--remember what he said last night about it--no one is pro-abortion and surely we can all work together to reduce the number of abortions without taking away a woman's right to choose. :)

Anyway, big hugs to you, 'cause that is what I'd do if you were here right now. :hug2:

Oh, and you weren't the only one yelling at the tv last night. :D

I guess some of that weight gain was water retention b/c I'm down 2lbs from yesterday. :D

Got in a workout at the gym, more painting at the condo, and an afternoon color tour with Granny. Was short but sweet. Then I went into the office and everything went downhill from there. :cuss: My manager has really pissed me off and I let him know it. I was livid. I won't go into the gory details, but will just say that he done me wrong..lol. I can laugh now, but I was in need of a punching bag for several hours earlier.

Then I went to Lowes and used a coupon that expired today. Got curtain rods, a dining room chandelier, towel racks and rug for the bathroom--oh and a new toilet seat..lmao. The current one is cheap plastic and when you put the lid down and sit on it, the lid caves in, making me feel like I'm gonna fall in. :smilielol5:

I am annoyed with my H b/c he's told his buddy we'll come to their house Sat for a potluck. I told him weeks ago he could go without me as we're meant to be there when the Michigan game is on (yes, I'm still planning on watching it b/c I'm a glutton for punishment when I know damn well Penn St is gonna kick their ass, but they're my team. ) Plus I want him to work on the flooring. Ugh..he needs to get his priorities straight. He can have fun with his friends AFTER we get moved in. :cuss::cuss::cuss: And now I have to COOK as special dish--as if I don't have enough to do! :cuss:

I knew you would be happy. ;)
*TeeHee*

Were you able to catch the 'Roast?'

They played it on Larry King Live & the Rachael Maddow show.

Pretty funny stuff.

McCain does very well w/punch lines. (he was funny)

Obama did well to, but he's just so serious.. lol .. :D

I did LOL big when Obama made the comment about 'Stepping out - seeing the Russian Tea Room.' hahahaha!

******
Glad the scale is going down for ya.

*I'm up at this time and I know it's the dern prednisone.

You have been busy, busy to!

Sorry hubby made plans without talkin' with ya first.
My hubby has learned the hard way that's a BIG NO NO.. :D
heehee

Don't work too hard doll.

~*Happy Friday!*~ :seeya:

Stacy! I really hope that the next President, whomever, DOES make a big difference and you benefit and can live somewhere affordable.

By the way the Santa Cruz Mountains are all about churches and bars, LOL. This one church sign said something I couldn't help but agree with,

"It is better to take refuge in the Lord than it is to trust in man."

That's kind of how I feel about Presidential elections since 2000.....

~*Have A Happy & Goal Reachin' Monday Sweetie!*~ :seeya:

Wanted ta pop in before heading out ta work.

How did the plans/company go?

Hope yer able to check in soon. ;)

<3 Stacy

Hey you, it has been awhile, Ive been struggling, I just wanted to pop in and see how things are going for mommy to be here.

If H doesnt tget prioritizes before babe he def will after babe!LOL, I know you will make sure of that!If I had a man around he would have definately been involved in doing everything and helping ie baby.

Is painting safe for you when preggo ? It is a great work out:)!

Stacy--I ended up making lasagna and going with him to the party..lol. It was fun, and they had the football games on, too. Although since both teams lost...:banghead:

Cerella--It is safe for me to paint as long as it's latex and I keep things well ventilated. Don't worry about H--he will help with baby a lot. I know him. He will also help out around the house. He's very good about that. I'm lucky that way. He has never changed a diaper yet, though, and is very proud of the fact..lol. I keep telling him that will soon change. :D

Well, I'm really getting annoyed with my weight. I did so well the first trimester, but this 2nd one is not going so well and I'm not sure why. I've been struggling with constipation--nothing too bad, just not as regular as I'd like to be. Well, yesterday I had a ton of bathroom action so I figured my weight would certainly be down this morning. NOpe. It was actually up a half lb from yesterday! I mean, if you weighed what I got rid of yesterday I'm sure it would've totaled at least 2lbs...so wtf?? All I can think of is I didn't get enough water in yesterday or something. I dunno. But the first day of my 2nd tri I was 217.5. Today I was 224.5. Granted my weight lately has been around 223, but that's still a 6.5lb gain in one month. :cuss: I haven't been tracking my calories on fitday lately like I used to, but started again yesterday. I was doing well until I ate about 12 mini peanut butter cups last night. ugh. :ack2: I felt sick afterwards, but I couldn't stop eating them. Still, my calories were under 2700 yesterday, so that is right around maintenance. Plus I worked out 30 min at the gym. Whatever. I think I need to work out more, it's just hard to find the time these days.

I'm also annoyed with my manager. I've been the "assistant" for an older agent in our office who has Alzheimers--uploading new listings and their photos, turning in all paperwork, and even some things not in my job description just to be nice. Well, he and the secretary do not get along at all--she cannot stand him, and they had a huge blow up and he and our manager decided it was time he left--there were other reasons, too. Mainly that it was getting to the point where it was just getting to be too much for him. Anyway, I always thought he and I got on well. But apparently he decided that since I'm pretty chummy with the secretary, I must not like him, either--which is untrue. Sure, he tested my patience a lot, but I was always pleasant to him and helped him when I could. I figured that when he left, I'd get his listings. Well, he told the manager he didn't want me to have them, so my manager gave them to someone else. He had 5 or 6 of them. I wouldn't even have wanted all of them--I just couldn't handle that much atm. But I would've taken a couple of them for sure. So I'm really pissed off that my manager didn't overrule his wishes. I mean, I was only getting paid by him on a commission basis, and since he only had one small sale the whole time I was his assistant, I only got $90 out of it, and I can assure you I put in a lot of hours working for him--basically unpaid. So I'm feeling really screwed over, and am pissed as hell at my manager who was fully aware of how little I'd been paid. He is completely unapologetic. This surprises me b/c in the past he's always had my back. Anyway, I'm sick of working for free, and will probably put my RE license in escrow at the end of this year. I don't see any point in working as hard as I do for as little as I make, and I've lost a lot of respect for my manager. What I'll do instead I have no idea. I'd like to work from home so I can stay home with the baby.

That really sucks with your manager, it always seems to suck when you get along with them or a casual friends or whatever ya know.

You can take mat leave yes...Why not take that and a year to rethink things, you could also get help with continuing on your education if you arent working but Im not sure how things work there since im in B.C.LOL

ya know the trimesters get harder and the further along you get the more baby you are making and th more it gians, I know you are only in your second tri but it could just be the baby takin what it needs and doing what it needs to do.Pregnancy and weight gain are so funny and so diff for every person...

Do you have any thoughts or feelings about what you may be carrying in that belly of yours:)

I'm self-employed so I don't get any maternity leave--well, not paid..lol. I have no interest in going back to school..lol. I wouldn't even know what to go back for if I did.

No idea what I'm carrying. Sometimes I feel like it's a boy and other times a girl. :)

I'm sorry Kimberly. That is terrible about your manager... What a fcuker! I would have lost a lot of respect for him too, espcially since he was aware of the backstory and everything... Would maybe working in the same field, different enviornment be a possibility? I might be completely talking like an idiot because I have no idea about how your job works and such... Just trying to offer some sort of input, lol...

On another note, sounds like the condo is coming along quite nicely :)

For some reason I have this feeling your going to have a boy... It's just a feeling and I might be completely off but I get a baby boy vibe from you. Maybe because I was surrounded by baby boys for so long from all my friends.
