BikiniBound's Diary

you are beautiful regardless of your weight.... you look good in all the pictures. I wish i had muscular calves like you!!! and by the way....they do make knee high boots for plus size which i imagine would fit your calves well. I know cause i have a pair and i got them at walmart so they were cheap.

I love lamb.....cant believe anyone wouldnt like it. I cook it at least 2 times a week.

Exercise this week:
2/11—30 min circuit training, 45 min bike, 16 miles biked, weight: 221.5
2/12—60 min circuit training, weight: 220.5

Tues calories: 1,789, sodium: 1,749mg

I am ready to kill the husky! He has been a pain in the ass all fricking night! These two are worse than babies, I swear. We cannot get any sleep, as they are so noisy and need to go outside multiple times per night. I've finally got them both settled down with me in the basement, while H is upstairs trying to get some sleep. I think he's averaged only 5-6hrs per night since we've been here. I think it was the smell of the lamb that made him go nuts. He went outside, and I cooked it while he was out there. Then he wouldn't come back in. He acted like he wanted to, but kept sniffing inside and then refusing to come in. He did this repeatedly, until finally, he came in. Then he ran around smelling everything like a mad dog and barking. He hasn't done this before, and there was nothing new smelling in the house besides the lamb.

Rena--I never had lamb until I went to Australia, and I just can't get into it. It tastes gamey to me. :ack2: Aussies eat tons of lamb like they do in the Middle East, so H grew up eating it at least once a week like you do. His mom thinks I'm weird for not liking it, but I don't see any point in eating a kind of meat I don't like. :D

Looks like H might get another snow day tomorrow, as the roads are still bad, and it's too cold for rock salt to do anything.

Thanks! I will have to look into those boots. I wonder if anyone besides Walmart has them, though, b/c I refuse to shop there. :D

Hi Kimberly

That's sorted then - next challenge we pick team-mates and we are on the same team. You are setting the rules. You will be pleased that you have already promised on a stack of bibles never to do a "no shreddies" bonus.

There was nothing wrong with you in the first couple of pictures - but you were unmistakably carrying some extra weight. That didnt stop you from looking nice though. You have to remember that I have over twenty years of experience of looking for the positives in any pictures of me and I was a lot bigger than you ever got to be.

You certainly look slimmer now and more like the photo of yourself ten years ago. I can understand it driving you to keep on going though. I am just the same. I will not really be happy with my size until I feel that I am as slim as I expected to be now when I was young. It is the same "image in your mind" thing.

The scales are thwarting us both at the minute. Surely we should both be getting some new lows soon. I blame the milestones that we are hovering over.

Well done for getting in your exercise. I am sure that you will get your bonus points now.

I like lamb well enough - but it is quite a fatty meat. I do know that I lose weight a lot better with chicken or fish. I think that I lose weight better with pork too. At least with pork it is easier to trim off the visible fat. Having chicken instead of lamb would have made sense to me even if you had liked lamb.

The saga of the dog-sitting continues for you. I suspect that you will be pleased when the dog-sitting duties come to an end.

I hope that the weather improves there soon.

Take care
Love
Margaret

Hey Star! Well I am trying to figure out what the problem is with these pics! You look beautiful in all of them, seriously. You actually look better now in a way because you look more up to date. I also have always had huge calves, despite my weight (meaning they look the same now as they look when I'm at my goal weight).

Its been really chilly here too lately, in the 20s, and that is damn frigid. I honestly dont know how you do it out there..brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

As to the challenge, I'll probably have to bow out as I doubt anyone will want to be on my team since I never lose any weight.

Will soapy boobies :)drool5:) cause weight gain?

I hope not, because yours are all lathered up, my friend! :D

Nope, in fact, they caused weight loss--220 today (down a half pound). You can soap up my boobies anytime you want if that is the result!! :D How about daily? That'd be a 3.5lb loss per week. :D

It is very nice of you all to say I look good even in the first two pics, but let's not lie--I know they are bad, and that's all there is to it. Ha! Anyway, moving beyond, that (I don't want to you all to think I'm saying this fishing for more compliments, b/c I'm not), I'm just glad that the current pics, while not satisfactory to me, are moving in the right direction, and greatly improved. :)

As to you finding teammates for the challenge, I'm sure you will not have a problem. It isn't all weight loss-based. There will be weekly bonuses along with exercise pts, so you can contribute to your team in other ways. I think the best teams will be made up of three players who compliment each other's strengths and weaknesses. Obviously, the best team will be made up of 3 people who are all good at getting in max pts and steadily putting up good numbers on the scale. However, that would be pretty hard to do, as most people have good weeks and bad weeks with that. God knows my weight losses are few and far in between lately compared to some other people. My strengths are that I almost always get in my full bonus and exercise pts.

Anyway, I'll be starting a thread to find out who's interested in participating in that challenge in a few weeks. It doesn't start until March 7th. :)

Yup, another cold one today--currently about 20F out (it's like heat wave!!), but it got down below zero again overnight. It's actually sunny out atm (which gives me hope that Spring WILL come some day. :D ), but we're meant to get more snow tonight, and tomorrow, and Friday, and the weekend's suppose to be even worse! :ack2: :nopity:

Margaret--only 3 more days of dogsitting--yay!

Last night's lamb seemed to be fairly lean, but I still prefer chicken. :D So here's a funny one--after eating between 1500-1700 calories for nearly a week, and that one day under 1000, I lost no weight. Then lo and behold I eat almost 1800 calories and I get a loss. Go figure. :smilielol5:

I was going to post this pic the other night, but couldn't find it. lol. It's a back shot of my legs. Since they are currently my best feature..haha...

well i've decided calories don't work...excercise doesn't work and scales don't work. hell all we've got going for us is luck!!

btw well doe on the low!!! fingers crossed you will be in the teens by the weigh in.

have a good day

;-)

p.s. once again great legs!!

I think it's a complicated voodoo spell that causes the weight loss. :reddevil:

Liar, liar, pants on fire! :biggrinjester: You are just biased b/c you're mesmerized by my big boobs. Hahahaha

Twin--thanks for the rub down. :biggrinjester: My calories were even higher today, so we'll see what happens tomorrow..lol. I'm sorry Aunt Flo came today. I'm thinking mine might be coming soon, too, b/c I was ravenously hungry today for no apparent reason. :willy_nilly:

Trevor--63? What was the average?? Anyway, congrats. I wonder what your score is once the curve is factored in. :D

Tammy--Thank you, dear. I was hoping to hit the teens tomorrow, but after my eating today, I doubt that is going to happen. :ack2:

Exercise this week:
2/11—30 min circuit training, 45 min bike, 16 miles biked, weight: 221.5
2/12—60 min circuit training, weight: 220.5
2/13—40 min exercise bike, 13.85 miles, weight: 220 (new low)

Weds calories: 2,147, :piggy: sodium: 2,435 (shew!)

Today was pretty good. Dinner was especially nice. I don't think I've ever eaten so much fish in one week..lol. There is still a huge catfish fillet in the fridge.

As I mentioned earlier, I think :reddevil: must be coming soon b/c I was starving today. I'm still starving..lol. But I'll go over my sodium for the day if I eat anything, so the threat of losing bonus pts will keep me from misbehaving anymore. :D I'm trying to think if :reddevil: is due. I can't remember when he last came, and i'm too lazy to search back through my diary. :biggrinjester:

Remember that guy Tom who used to come to the forum? He was always praying to the Scale Gods. That may work if the voodoo doesn't.

But hey, you really are amazing Kimberly. You're a very consistent person and its paid off in spades. I met you months ago when you were struggling up there in what, back in the 250s or so? You are one of those who will definitely reach her goal. And after you have your baby you'll be back on here getting it all off again (grrrrr). Actually, try hard not to make the mistake I made of gaining more than the recommended 25; I gained 60 lbs (my short ass went up to 198).
