BikiniBound's Diary

So I heard you want to have a baby before the year's out?! Does that mean you and H are trying as we speak?! This is exciting news, but I love watching your progress and when you're preggers you will literally laugh (if not cry) when almost every morning that bitch of a scale will climb ever higher. I'm really dying to see you hit your goal, but it would be worth the "weight" if you had a baby.

No, we're not trying yet. I think in another month we'll start. My gf's who didn't gain more than the 25-30lbs recommended didn't even gain any weight until well into their 2nd trimesters, so I hope to have the same experience. I had one friend who had gall bladder problems the whole time, but they couldn't operate until after she had the baby. So she had a very strict diet to follow--couldn't eat things that set off her gb. Anyway, she was actually thinner after she gave birth than she was before she got preggers..lol. I guess that was her reward for the misery she endured from the gall bladder. She said those attacks were worse than giving birth!

Thanks! H got me a nice card and some bubbly white zin--which I enjoyed. I got him a card, a 4-pack of Boddington Ale (imported from Britain) which he really enjoyed. Then I got some strawberries and milk chocolate to dip them in. Yummy! And naughty. But the chocolate was low in sodium, and eaten in small quantities, not bad in calories. :D

Invariant--thanks for stopping by. :)

Margaret--I did eat fish last night. However, I would've been shocked at a new low today as my cals were kinda high and the fiber issue already mentioned. ;) Hope the fish worked for you. :)

Brandy--Thanks! I hope you had a great V-day, too. :)

White Zin...I bet you enjoyed that immensely. Chocolate and strawberries...how utterly romantic and yet...trystfully initiating...;)

Overall, it sounds like you had a good holiday yesterday. I think it's great you and the H still keep your romance alive on Valentines Day. All my parents do is get each other a card. My mother says to my dad last night..."Everyone from my office got flowers and I was the only one who didn't" (She was smirking when she said this. She LOVES teasing him.) And my dad smiles at her and I'm there so I turn to my mom and I say..."He gave you three beautiful children. Isn't that enough?" And after my dad agrees, they both start laughing.

I hope you have a good day today too!!

Hello Beautiful!!

Sounds like a VERY nice V-day.

As for the baby, I think it's great you'll be trying soon. Don't make any plans as to what you will do during during the pregnancy because, and I'm sure C would agree, you hormones can make you do some crazy shit. Girl I used to eat bologna sandwiches with soy sauce, swiss cheese and mushrooms like it was going out of style. Bleh!!! I never held it down but I craved them like crazy.

It was cute yesterday how all the men in my city were walking around with flowers, balloons and other Vday goodies, and there was a huge crowd of them at the fruit/veggie markets on the corners (they have a beautiful flower selection too). Though we were viciously fighting (we made up today) H got me a nice card and beautiful roses plus some chocolates. OK, it was a box of my favorite, Junior Mints, but I think he knew better than to get me some big box of chocolates, especially with this flu.

Amy is too funny! So so right. But girl, wassup with those sandwiches?!

I know this sounds cliche, but I would have H stop at several different Dunkin Donuts in a row looking for vanilla creme filled donuts. It seems these are not so popular as they were when I was a kid and loved them, they're very hard to find now for some reason. Anyway, I just HAD to have them quite often but when they weren't available, I'd eat their cranberry muffins (these huge things that probably have 100s of cals). Note that I've barely been in a DD since giving birth and I get a few munchkins, no desire for the creme filled donuts at all.

I was nauseaus day and night for almost 3 months so I was drinking a lot of commercially made smoothies. They must be hugely fattening, cuz I sure gained and gained! But they did settle my stomach and frankly, that was all I cared about at that time. Dont believe the hype about "morning" sickness, I had no idea that could last all damn day and night.

But you will love being a mommy so its all worth it in the end. I'm so pleased that you and H have decided to proceed!

Hi Kimberly

It sounds like you had a really romantic Valentines Day. It all sounds lovely.

From my diary:

Are you still speaking to me after I posted this week's bonus?? :biggrinjester:

Of course I am still speaking to you! :hug2: I am also tearing my hair out trying to do a million and one sums to come up with a number range.:willy_nilly: Heaven help me if you call a deadline for posting the range in the next couple of hours!

Well done for getting all your exercise in. I knew that you would.

Take care
Love
Margaret

Well, you all are so cute thinking I got some sweet Valentines lovin' from H. I got home a little after 6pm, made and ate dinner. Then H said he needed a shower, and ended up sitting in the bathtub for about an hour. So I watched Survivor. I told him since he didn't have to get up early tomorrow, he should wait until Lost was over at 10, and then we could get our groove on. He was too tired, and was fast asleep by 10. Then we were gonna do it earlier today, but I was online and he was engrossed in Leave It to Beaver...lmao. And I am not sleeping there tonight--he's going out to the pub with they guys anyway. So we've said that tomorrow we'll do it. I ate the chocolate covered strawberries by myself. hahaha Aren't we sad? :biggrinjester:

Invariant--I sympathize with your mom not getting any flowers. :D

Cita and Amy--If you all keep paying me these lovely compliments, my head's gonna swell up so big I won't fit into any room. :D I know the hormones make women crave strange things, but my plan is to be careful and not feel like I have free license to pig out. If I did, I'd stand no chance of keeping the weight gain to a min. Some women have odd and unhealthy cravings like you and Cita, but I have had several friends have healthy cravings, too--where they craved fresh fruits and veggies like crazy. Hopefully I'll have those cravings. :D

Yeah, I know many women who had all day sickness for more than the 1st trimester. My mom said she had it terrible with me--all 9 months! My skinny bitch ex-friend was fine in the am, but miserable and dry heaving at night. So much fun to look forward to. :D Actually, I am really looking forward to being preggers. I've wanted to experience it for so long. I pray I don't have trouble conceiving. One of the women who works at my gym has a daughter a year younger than I who just had her first baby in August. She didn't have any trouble getting pregnant, and is already pregnant again--due before her baby turns 1!! It was an accident...lol. I should be so lucky. Anyway, this gives me hope. :)

Lally--thanks for stopping by. :)

Paul--Thanks for the shake. :D

Margaret--I was just kidding when I asked that, of course. I knew you wouldn't hold it against me--for too long, anyway..lol. There is no deadline for the posting of calorie goals. No worries, mate. ;)

so valentines day and no nookie????lol same here with the 2 rugrats running around and the little one being sick!!! Actually mu husband slept downstairs with my son and i was upstairs with the lil one..lol
so yea i am one of the people who loses weight when im pregnant. With my son had gallbladder stones so i was officially banned from eating.....boost drinks were my bst friend!!!lol when i delivered him i weighed about 15 pounds less than when i got pregnant. And with my daughter i didnt have a gallbladder but i still gained no weight. BUT.......unfortunately breastfeeding made me devour everything in my sight. I seriously scared my family with how much i would eat. Its settled a bit now...but i am still hungry all the time.
When you do get pregnant i think you will be fine weight wise.....actually women who weigh more generally only gain a few pounds.

Well, now I feel better about not getting any sex yesterday--however, you have 2 kids and I have none..lol. I heard breastfeeding burns about 1200 calories per day!! Have you found that to be true?

The woman at the gym with the super fertile daughter..lol.. said she only gained 16lbs while pregant, and she wasn't fat to begin with--normal weight. So by the time she had her baby and lost that weight, she only had about 6-7lbs to lose. Lucky woman!!

Yes, my sis was one of those that craved lots of fruit and veggies and she absolutely loved being preggers, so you could easily be like that too. Or like Amy and me. he he. No point in wasting time, when you start trying, order those ovulation detectors online to tell you when you're ovulating. My sis just had her second at 41 so dont fret.

I think I'm too lazy to fiddle with an ovulation dectector..lol. Aren't your most fertile times during the middle of your cycle? I'll just make H do me every day for those two weeks...lmao. ;)

I just had a startling realization. In a few weeks I'll be turning 26 for the 10th year in a row. :D That means I'll be twice as old as an 18yr-old, and halfway to 70!!!!!!!!!!!!! How demoralizing. :puke:

Haha! Man I wish I craved donuts when I was preggers. I couldn't stand the thought of anything sweet, I didn't even have a piece of my own wedding cake. Yes, I was knocked up before my wedding. We were trying but didn't think it would ever happen. Surprise!!!

You're right C, that "morning" stuff is bullshit. I puked my brains out the entire 9 months day and night. It was HORRIBLE. I remember crawling to the bathroom in the middle of the night because I was so weak from being malnourished but couldn't stop the vomiting. The doc eventually put me on meds they give caner patients who go through chemo. ~shudders at the thought~

As for the sandwiches C, I don't know why I wanted something so gross. But damn they tasted sooo good at the time!!

Hey Kimmy!!

I've read about your hopes of having a baby. I'd say I hope it goes well for you, but I actually mean I hope 'it' goes well for you...:reddevil: Oh, I love doublespeak. LOL.

And I'm sure you'll find ways to motivate yourself into NOT gaining too much baby weight. It's always been my dream to be a mother, and now, since I'm so close to my goal, it's also a fear I have. I want to have children, but I fear if I gain the baby weight, I won't lose it and fall off the wagon and back into obesity. But I keep telling myself that I've worked too hard for too long to let it happen. We've simply NOT to let it happen. There are many ways to stay fit during pregnancy. It's actually GOOD for your body and the baby too I hear. I'll definatly be reading "How to stay in shape with a child" books.

You'll be encouraged too, I know. You'll do just fine and have beautiful children. I wish you and the hubby the utmost luck and don't forget to have fun trying. I hear it's the best part. LOL.
