BikiniBound's Diary

Mine would starve before he'd go try to figure out how to make something.

I do ALL of the cooking! SWMBO doesn't cook. Lotsa women say they don't cook, meaning they do not consider themselves good cooks. Well she was being brutally honest.

I went away on a trip for a week or so and I made her a big pot of chicken soup. You know how when you refridgerate chicken soup it gets all jellied aspic-y? Well, when I got home she had eaten most of it. There was clear evidence she ate it cold with a fork.

I said to her, "Please don't tell me you ate this soup cold with a fork, standing in front of the open refridgerator door!!"

"Okay," she said, "I won't tell you that."

When she says "I don't cook" she means it.

That is one thing I miss. I've always enjoyed cooking with my partner.

But she does do dishes, so that compensates.

Wow!! My H wouldn't have married me if I couldn't cook..lol. That is so sad about SWMBO! I mean, she can't even stick it in microwave?

I feel that if both partners are working equal hours outside the home (or if they work from home), htey should split the household tasks 50/50 and change the percentages if one works more than the other. I know SWMBO has a full time job, so I cut her some slack..lol. But if she were a stay at home mom--she'd better learn how to cook!! That's why I totally think Blancita's H needs to learn how to cook--since he's a stay at home dad. ;)

Here's a funny story about my now deceased FIL. Every year my MIL would fly out west to stay with her sister for a week or two. FIL never did laundry, so she'd show him how to do it before she left. Apparently she made it sound much more complicated than it really is. So FIL just hand washed all his clothes!!! My aunt used to clean for a couple who didn't do laundry--they just bought more clothes when they ran out of clean ones. So the dirty ones were in a big pile that began to stink. My aunt had enough and started doing their laundry. That couple cried when my aunt told them she was too old to keep cleaning for them!! They must've had a crap load of money to be able to do that!!

you're very pretty... that hairstyle does nothing to enhance your prettiness.. but golly gee whiz you're still very pretty....

I can't beleive 10 lbs would make youo any less attractive... yer gonna be gorgeouser when you get to where you are satisfied with your weight.. :D

Maybe it's b/c I'm 5yrs older--not 10lbs heavier!! lmao. But Mal--that is very sweet of you to say.:)

Ok, so I'm gonna toot my own horn here re my grocery shopping abilities. The cashier actually commented that that was a lot of groceries for the $$. Here's what I bought:
2lbs of celery, 2.4lbs bananas, 3 heads organic romaine lettuce, 1lb baby carrots, 1lb cole slaw mix, 12oz cauliflower florets, 12 oz broccoli florets, 12oz scallops, 24oz salmon fillets, 8oz pepper jack cheese, 2 pkg granola bars, 3-12 packs of diet pepsi, 1-2liter diet pepsi, 3lbs of country style pork ribs, 3-18oz cans of oatmeal and a 46oz bottle of ketchup. Total: $44.22

No coupons were used--just took advantage of in-store sales.

not getting older - getting better.. :)

and Im NOT sweet -I'm bitter and cynical and always honest :)

I thought it was funny that I was calling you sweet as I typed it--and almost made a comment about it. But then I decided against it..lol.

So if you were to get a nice guy who was good to you, would you still be bitter and cynical?

check price later unless I am going for the few things that I know thats

I am the kindest, most loyal, most supportive person in the world when a person chooses to get close to me... bitter and cynical are part of my personality -I was cynical and jaded at age 7... bitter came later... (plus for certain - umm - skills I posses, guys tend to overlook a lot... :D

My husband tries desperatly to cook...he wants so badly to impress me...but he BURNS everything. He made pancakes that were, honest to God, CHEWY. He made mac and cheese with no distinguishable noodles, just a...paste.
I finally told him he gets a mean chinese take out and lets leave it at that!

Oh, and I know I am a few days behind, but had my husband followed up the question "what did I get married for?" with an ORDER to pick up his fork, I would have picked it up. In order to stab him with it.

Exactly!! lol. Well, I got my revenge, I guess, b/c his finger that I kicked a month ago (when I meant to kick his ass but he stuck his hand back there)--well, it still isn't better, so he went to the doc about it today. It isn't broken, but the tendon might be facked up. So he has to see a hand specialist and possibly have surgery. Now I feel REALLY bad. :(

At least you have to give your H some credit for trying--just make sure he really is trying. ;) My FIL would do household things really badly on purpose so my MIL would tell him to nevermind--she'd do it herself. But since you both work full time, he can help out in other ways, right?:)

Dad will most likely come home tomorrow morning. He is getting around pretty well. This weekend is going to be very busy for me--but not fun busy. Oh well. :)
