BikiniBound's Diary

6 months??!! That is gonna suck bigtime. Is he being deployed? I'm definitely in for ES in Sept.

Yeah, I believe that it gets easier--today was easier than Monday.

A co-worker of mine who is very physically active--and a runner, told me yesterday that there is a 5k run here in August. I might sign up for it if this progresses well. That will be well after I finish the 9week C25K program if I stick to it as planned.

No deployment, he's going to the WIC. It's some kind of training to become a Weapons Officer, I really don't know much about it. All that pilot stuff is WAY over my head. And yes, it's gonna suck big time.

I sucked at my first 5K 9 years ago and was cursing my friend who made me do it the entire 3.2 miles. BUt when I was finished, I felt fantastic. From then on I was hooked and have been running since.

Sign up for it! I promise, you won't be sorry.

Well done for bringing your weight nicely down.

It is great that the second lot of c25k training went much better. Plenty of others here have got hooked on it - it sounds like you are going to be another one.

You are so good cooking for hubby to take nice things to work. I wouldnt as I know that I would be tempted to do too many taste tests.

I'm so relieved to hear he's not being deployed!

MJB--I agree that getting off the proverbial ass is the hardest part about exercise. Once I'm doing it, I'm ok. I love the feeling after a good workout. :sifone:

Isn't that the truth sista! Once I actually step on the treadmill or Elliptical, I usually will stay on for at least 45 minutes, and I don't mind. I usually try for an hour. And I always feel great during and after. I have a gym in the house, with a TV, so it's not like I actually have to go anywhere, that says how lazy I can be.

The before is what I have to struggle with, getting from the couch to the machines. It's all in my head. :ack2: I'm nearing the stage where I actually enjoy it, but still not quite there.

Happy to hear your 2nd day of the C25K went well, and that you were able to shave a minute off your time already. That is great. The 5k in August might be a great thing to start planning for:) I haven't signed up for any around here though. I thought my dad might be more into running one with me but I don't think he wants to... Oh well, I still love to go running, whether I am in a race or not:coolgleamA:

Yeah, the predominant religion here in UT is of course LDS, and there are definitely some overtones... Just a few days ago the current governor of UT put a new law into effect about how much alcohol goes into cocktails that are served in restaurants and bars. For many years it was much less than what is the normal amount in other states but, now it's up to the same amount as in other states :D However, now you can't get a sidecar or anything to go with it... He's trying to boost the tourism and keep the visitors happy, and probably the drinkers of UT.

Could not agree with Amy more!

Do it! Run it! You will be soooo proud of yourself afterwards, regardless of the time it takes you to finish!

Glad to see starting the C-5k. It kicked my ass the first week (and every week after that). If you're like me you'll be swearing at Mr Pod Cast. You know..."common ya motherf'er and tell me I can stop" and "about f***'in time you F***'in bastard". LOL. I even said this out loud while running outside. I'm pretty sure everyone in my neighborhood thought I was certifiable.

Its amazing what you can accomplish in that program, though!

Amy--Sooo glad he's not being deployed. But damn, I was hoping to meet him in Sept. :D

Steve--Bon soir.

Margaret--Don't get too excited for me. My weight was back up to 221 today. :ack2: Tomorrow will probably be worse b/c I was a total lazy ass today and did no exercise. I also ate too much. :banghead:

MJB--Today was one of those days when I couldn't get my lazy ass out there.

Sam--That is funny about the booze in the drinks. Here, we have a lot of areas that are dry or dry on Sunday. One nearby city that is full of CRC just recently passed a law that allows restaurants to serve alcohol.

Tyly and Lemon--We'll see how the running goes. If I manage to be able to run a 5k, I'll sign up for the one in August. But I have too much on my plate atm to commit to it. :D

Lemon--You had my lmao at you cursing Mr. Podcast guy..lol. I utter similar less foul-mouthed things in my head--like, "It HAS to be over soon!! I can't believe 60 seconds haven't gone by yet!:cuss:"

I looked at 2 houses for H and I today. Not gonna work. :( I have a feeling we're gonna end up with a condo.

Did anyone watch Survivor tonight? I couldn't believe Erik fell for the women's line and gave up his immunity. How naive. I lmao when James said his reign as stupidest survivor ever has ended.

Better off in a condo you can afford than in a house where you are struggling with the bills. The stress definitely wont be worth it. Did you get the O sticks yet?

Now get off your "lazy ass" missie! And I will do the same haha.

I hope that you manage to get some exercise done today. You know how much it really does help us. Sorry your weight climbed again - mine did too!

Sorry that you are having problems finding a house for your project. The size of property is immaterial when you are not planning on living there long. The big thing is how the numbers stack up and how marketable you believe that the end result will be.

HA!

Pretty much sounds like the things that were flying out of my mouth, too! I have said some very hateful things to that poor man!

:biggrinjester:

Dont forget to post in Summer Solstice!

Oh shit! I forgot about that! :banghead: Well, my team will hate me this week--223.5. I'm way up from last week. :cuss:

Tyly--Mr. Podcast guy must get a lot of abuse. I'm sure he's thinking that no good deed goes unpunished. :smilielol5:

Margaret and Cita--Actually, size DOES matter...:smilielol5: If it is too small, no one will want to buy it from us. People here want space and can afford it. I worry about buying a condo b/c the neighbors are right there sharing walls with us (and I hate living in apts for the reason of having loud neighbors, although most of the people in those condos are retired so probably not too noisy :D ), but also b/c you have to pay the condo fees every month on top of the mortgage/taxes. So that could be an added expense. However, most of those fees cover water bills, trash pick up, snow plowing, and exterior maintenance. So it kind of evens out in the end. The main trouble with condos is that you will never sell it more much more than all the other units there sell for--even if mine is completely renovated and the others are outdated and worn. So that hurts my profit margin. The condos would actually be similar in square footage to any house we would buy--maybe slightly bigger. So that wasn't why I was whining about a condo..lol. Did any of that make sense? :D

Claudia--I didn't order the O sticks yet b/c I am currently supposed to be ovulating--and they wouldn't have arrived in time. If I get my period in a couple of weeks, I'll order them then so they'll be here in time for the next O time. :)

I am 2.6 pounds up from last week so you see - everyone's weight goes up. If we all post and the other teams dont all post we have a good chance of no eliminations. We have had so many people eliminated - there is a good chance that we will all post!!!

Size does matter. Rod has spent the past 20 years telling me that big is best - and that was just talking about our tummies.

If you are keen to avoid going the condo route - I hope that you manage to find a house where the numbers stack up. I am sure that you will be looking in the areas on the turn from being a bit grotty to becoming "up and coming". With your work - you are well placed for spotting a bargain when it arises.

I can't say much right now (no time - students ), but you know that Claire and Jack are brother and sister, right? They both have the same dad: Christian. I'm sure you know that, but I just wanted to make sure! :D

I'll be back for more later!

Just like you always come back for more boobies soapings--which I've been rather lax in giving out lately. :D

Oh, yeah. I know that. But does that make any more sense as to why they're in the cabin, and she's abandoned her son?

I'm sure I'll find something. I just want to get this show on the road. :)

I love my soapings! :D

I think her and Christian are dead!
