Bigger/cut arms?

argh! thought so. oh well. i guess an insymmertrical 6 pack is better than no sixpack right!? oh and spock ive been doin those tricep exercises u and mreik told me to try. i feel those working my underarm tricep and the long muscle. but i dont feel like im working that muscle by the bicep. you know the one that buldges out of the side of your arm? like the "big" tricep muscle i guess u call it. what exercises can i do to get that to "buldge"?
 
shinra, would you rather have abs that everyone can see, but only you will notice they are SLIGHTLY misaligned, or would you rather perfectly symmetrical abs that are covered in fat, thus you have no visual abs?

Jeez it's like my questions never seem to end. Even I realize how many questions I've asked. Don't you guys ever just wanna say "Ok shinra...enough..stop asking questions."? Bear with me though, I think we're nearing the end of my search for answers lol.

Anyways. I've got a few questions. First of all, I'm thinking of giving up the running on the treadmil thing altogether now that summers here cuz it's just really boring the living **** out of me, HIIT or not. I was wondering if compensating that with 5 days a week of basketball for 2 hours a day is just as good?

And the other questions, about my misaligned abs, I'm curious. If the left side is a tad lower, but significantly more defined, could it just be that I'm favoring my left side somehow? I'm thinking if I work out my right side more than my left, maybe they'll..push down? Is this even possible?

Oh and its the end of the week again! Here's shinra's "log!"

Good things:

-worked my biceps out monday, wednesday, and friday (gave them 48 horus of rest)
-worked my obliques and abs monday, wednesday, and friday (have noticed significant toning in my lower torso since last pics i showed)
-today i helped my friend move out of his apartment. living 4 floors up, and no elevator, you can guess how good of a workout i got on what is supposed to be one of my rest days, but hey between the lifting and the stair climbing, a good full body workout day!
-didnt miss my breakfast once! no matter how little time i had, i made sure to have my bowl of oatmeal and glass of natural apple juice!
bad things:
-this weekend i had a brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, 1 jalapeno popper, quite a few twizzlers, and a couple of bakers cookies.
-this week i really slacked drinking enough water. i barely drank at all now that i think about it.

damn this is a long post. i wonder how much of it ppl will actually read and respond to. :p
 
I drank a quart of milk just while reading this post! lol.. Well as for definition, you're body is going to lose fat wherever it wants. But as for one side being larger, maybe you are working out one side more directly. To attempt to correct this, split your ab exercises into two, do one set favoring one side, and another set favoring the other. IMO, it's not worth it to do so much more work, but if it's a big deal to you, go for it!
 
it looks like you're doing really well - your "good things" definitely outweigh your "bad things."

Basketball - super work-out. If you're getting bored of the treadmill, there's no reason why you shouldn't change the routine

As I said before about the abs - very few people are perfectly symmetrical

time for my new log, sadly its bad this time lol:

good things:

-noticeable size gains in my arms.
-played aLOT of basketball this week
-at prom i danced for over 3 hours straight, was basically drowning in my own sweat.
-6 pack can be fully seen if i "pull down" the little fat patch in my lower abdomen.

bad things:

-first and foremost: PROM WEEKEND
-two oreo icecream truffle things at prom
-half a bag of dorritos today (monday)
-for the first time in half a year i had soda. 2 cups of pepsi at medieval times, and 2 cups of pepsi on sunday after basketball
-i had another one of those brownie alamodes
-had an order of hot wings.
-missed friday and this mondays workout


OUCH! lol
 
heh its funny, after all that i still got a little more defined over the past 2 weeks. :p

im starting to wonder if im hitting my triceps right at all. i work them killer hard (i think) yet they just never seem to get any bigger. :-\ is it just time? or am i doing somethin wrong maybe? :confused:
 
as if things couldnt get weirder...wait til u hear this:

i did a one handed pull-up. i dont know how, but i did 3 of them in a row. and not those cheap ones where u like jump and just start pulling. it all started out as a joke with some friends. they were like yeah you wish you could do a one handed pull up. so i threw myself onto my friends pull-up bar (its in his basement), and just hung there with one arm. out of nowhere, i was able to completely lift myself above the bar, chin and all, came back down, and repeated this TWO MORE TIMES!! AND to top it off, just 4 hours ago i had done my routine workout for my biceps so they were pretty weak! can someone explain this twisted phenomenon?!?
 
That's a really big acomplishment. Now you can bet your friends 5 bucks you can do 4 one handed pull ups ina row. Jump up, do two with your right, switch and do 2 with your left, put the 5$ in your pocket and walk away with a smile. lol :)
 
i wouldnt lie about somethin like this. it was just so bizzare. i had this shocked look on my face as i was going up i wish i had a picture lol.
