Big Mac's Lifestyle Change

Oh, Paula, I wanted to ask you about Alane. Will she start this Saturday or did she start last? I don't really mind either way. The other two things on my mind are, starting a week behind and 3 members. I was thinking that maybe since we started a week behind you could match us up with whatever the lowest scoring team had week 1, puts us still in the race but not unfairly. As far as the 3 members go, I was thinking we average out Alane, Snap, and my points for the non-existant 4th member. What do you think?

Awesome! Definately thought it was gonna be a little strange if I was the only sober one :D.
LOL You won't be. :)

As far as your team's points, I'm not sure what MJ was planning but your ideas will work for sure! I think I saw Alane mention that she has been keeping track this whole week. If so, let her go ahead and post points and weight tomorrow. :) If MJ ever gets back, I'll fill her in. :)

Lunch: 6" Turkey sub on whole wheat, lots of veggies, and a little honey mustard
PM Snack: small handful of almonds, small handful whole wheat pretzels, lowfat cheese
Dinner: Planning on some Margarita chicken from chilis after my workout

MMmmm I love Subways turkey subs. I always get everything on it too [veggies that is] but sometimes they over do it and I have to pick some off. I get mine with light mayo. Its awesome.

Duh-Haa-Am! Shaun. I just read through your whole diary. You've only been on for about three weeks and your diary is HUGE. I had so much to comment on, and only from yesterday or the day before, but it seems like months ago now that I've read through it all.

It's good to see that you are into cooking. I love to cook and I'm always on the lookout for something new and healthy. It's great that you are hitting the gym so much. Keep it up.

Oh, and NY is great. We have the mountains and beaches and lakes and farm country and all that. NYC is an amazing place, even if Erica hasn't found her niche yet, where you can do just about anything and everything.

NO joke....EVERYONE loves SHAUN!!!! :)

Haha, its so true, everyone does love me. Thanks for stopping by Trops. You're making me want to buy a bike. As far as NY goes, IMO its dirty and gross, but I'll give you a fair shake since I haven't been everywhere. I know there are some nice spots mixed in there. NYC stinks and there is garbage everywhere. I grew up in Canada near Niagara Falls. The Canadian side was green and beautiful, the NY side was gross, I even saw like lots of needles on the ground which is disturbing. Maybe next time I'm up I'll let ya show me the nicer parts :D. Oh, and Erika wants me to come by and make dinner.

So, yesterday ended up being a grilled chicken caesar salad instead of margarita chiken.

Today:
Breakfast: 2 whole wheat english muffin w/ pb, banana, glass lowfat milk
Lunch: Grilled chicken breast w/ pesto, sauteed onions
Snack: about to kill a whey shake and maybe another banana

I love this forum and all my friends on here. You guys keep me motivated and encouraged :D. Lost 3.4 lbs this week. At that rate only about 25 weeks to goal! Thanks to everyone who stops by and keeps me on track, oh and gives me a few laughs :).

Real caesar salad or in a bottle. The best recipe I've found for caesar uses a raw egg and anchovie paste. So good, though.

Thanks Alta, this weeks bonus is going to be hard for me. See if you can keep up with me in the gym :D.

Real caesar, I'd give ya the recipe but it's family secret and I'd have to kill ya ;). Mine uses egg and anchovie paste as well! I nuke the egg enough to kill bacteria but it's pretty much raw.

Heh, me to Trops. After ya get into cooking... ya kinda realize that going out isn't that great. You can usually have a lot better food at home.

Yeah, but some times it takes just so long to make it that I'd rather eat out. There are some really amazing restaurants around here, so if I'm looking for some really good food and don't feel like cooking, I know where to go. (NY, baby!)

Haha, I see Trops... are you to insinuate that the south doesn't have good places to eat? :D Theres some really good places down here, its just that the good ones are usually pretty expensive. I really want to go to Peter Lugers next time I'm in NY though.

Oh, I love southern cooking. My problem is that when I go someplace new it's hard to know where is good and where isn't. People in general want what is familiar to them, so they stick to chain restaurants. I really would prefer to not go to a chain. They are geared for the lowest common denominator as far as taste goes.

When you come to NY, don't waste your time at Peter Lugars. There are so many exciting places that you can't get elsewhere. Get your own steak from a prime meat market and you'll cook it just as good as PL. Now, get some Ethiopian food, or head to India Row, or so many other places. Now you're on to something.

Any plans to go to NYC?

Hello Shaun,
It's ys Buddy for the U.K. Well done on the 3.4lb weight loss.

Yes NYC is a dirty place, I've been there quite a few times. You have to think of it more of what goes on rather than the look of the place. I do planning on going over to Canada sometime love the Mountains and forests.

Anyway back on the eliptical for me for another workout. Keep on the lookout in the next day or so becuae I'm catching up with you.

Like I say well done bud.
