Bellaryna's Journey

I fueled up yesterday for $3.80, but H told me tonight it's gone up to $4.10 in some places. This is due to Hurricane Ike causing 13 refineries in Texas to shut down. It'll reduce supply, therefore increasing the price. :cuss: Why do they build so many refineries in hurricane zones?? :ack2:

Congrats on the weight loss. Your workouts sound like a killer. I think I'd keel over halfway through..lol.

I like your mini-goal plan. Go for it girl!! I'm really happy that your mood has improved. I think it'll really help your weightloss. :)

What I fail to understand is how the hurricane that is only hitting the coast today can effect gas prices yesterday? Anybody with me on that one?

Bell, you're doing terrific stuff and kickin' some butt.

BTW, you wanna trade stories about procrastinating teenagers some time? Take that one a step further... my eldest daughter was also a drama queen, so life as she knew it would end..sob...sob...

Oh I'm with you on that one ... I think they are just playing games with us. Because if you think about it, it's one industry that we can't boycott, especially if you live in a rural area. :(

Hey there,
Glad to see those goals in place. It is going to be so exciting when you reach those goals, and you will be so proud of yourself! I'm gonna keep checking in on you and I won't go MIA again! Hee hee...

My goodness. Worked hard all weekend and look what happened while I was gone. LOL

Gas is doing the same thing here in NC....it's crazy...heard something this morning on NPR about OPEC being dirty little rascals for wanting to cut back on oil output....or maybe that's not exactly what the reporter said. lol

Bella...I think ya right...below 200 is COMPLETELY doable by your birthday. Go head witcha bad self :0)
Ahhh you gotta love a girl who listens to the NPR!
Thanks for the encourgement!
:biggrinjester:

Congratulations! You're really seeing successes. I'd like to see you at 200 for your birthday too :D
I think I just might make it.
Is that you in the pic doing the fancy move? 'Cuz I can do that one too!

Great goals! I like how you're using the holidays as markers. I haven't done monthly goals yet because I'm still focusing on getting down to 199! Once I do that I'm sure I'll set some monthly goals. Ahh, I can't wait to be out of the 200s! It's like I'm going back in time or something!
I love the going back in time thing. LOL Now if I just wouldn't have fast forwarded this summer I would be somewhere in my teens by now. hahaha
*Smoochies*

Great Outlook & Great Journaling! :hurray:

You WILL Succeed. ;)

Funny enough, I did the same thing just a few minutes ago in my J..lol!

Great minds think alike. :sifone:

Have A Goal Reachin' Day Doll!
Thanks for the encouragement.
I'll pop over to your diary and see what you got there.

Bell, the shell station in Kville had gas at $4.09!! :ack2: But then when I got through town it was $3.99 - so I don't know what is going on with the shell station, hope the others don't follow suit, but from what I'm hearing they will!
I heard that on Friday over in Auburn it was up to $5/gallon. Whether that is true or not I don't know.

I agree that we should have refineries in other places besides the gulf. That is one thing that I agree with Sarah Palin on.
Those workouts are a killer! LOL And to think that Kelly does like 15 of them a week!!!!
Thanks for all the encouragement :)

OMGoodness! You about made me spit out my lunch I was laughing so hard!!!
Your scaring me. My 8yr old dd is every bit the drama queen now. I can only imagine what is in store for us! *Shudder* LOL
Thanks for always stopping in and encouraging me.

Thanks for poppin in! Missed ya and glad to see that you are back.

Well this weekend went by fairly well considering that I had to go to work. LOL
The weight kept coming off all weekend, which made me even more determined to NOT eat junk at work.
Weighed in @ 203.2 on Friday, 202.6 on Saturday, 202.6 on Sunday and 201.6 this morning.
So it looks like I am back to having a steady weight-loss.
Bought a cool drinking bottle that I found on clearance at Wal-Mart.
It's one of those sporty types that you would normally see on a bike or something like that. I love the fact that it has a flip top lid that has a place for you to hook/hang it on things. Makes it easy to carry around.
Ate really well all weekend.
For the most part kept the cals at or below 1650. Exception being yesterday. Dh made lunch (I was in napping after church).
He cooked up some boneless porkloin chops and made stirfry outta them. Add in the rice as well as a couple of large chunks of buttered bread and no way to figure up the cals.........well you can see the picture on that one. *chuckle*
My game plan for that one was I only had a jello and a wedge of laughing cow cheese while I was at work.
I know it doesn't sound like much but I also had breakfast yesterday (honeynut cherrios) and I didn't ever feel hungry.
And to top it all off......I even had a $1 in my pocket but I never spent it!!!
Yeah!
I don't have to work this coming weekend. Ye-Haw!!!
We are going on an all church campout. We do it every year at the same campground. I think we have like 28 families going this year. It is always a blast. The kids love it!!!
The camping is the only monkey wrench that I can see in my making it to my mini-goal by my birthday. As my b-day will be 2 days after the campout. So I will have to be extra diligent in what I eat. Of course there will be crap all around me but I will resist. I must resist.
hahaha
I am soooo close :) that I am not willing to allow myself to go back up.
Well I have to take my momma to the eye doctor so I better get going.
I will try to get back on here later and see how everyone is doing.
Later Gators!

Way to go on the steady loss! :auto:
Are you excited that you're about to say that you are 1something? I cannot WAIT for that day! I'm hoping I can get to 199 by my 5th anniversary on Oct. 25th...Only 13 pounds to go! Church campouts are fun. I used to go a lot when I was in highschool with my church youthgroup. Fond memories around the campfire! My hubby and I are going camping for our anniversary and I'm really looking forward to it. Great job on avoiding the junkfood at work :)

What I fail to understand is how the hurricane that is only hitting the coast today can effect gas prices yesterday? Anybody with me on that one?

It has to do with futures prices. The market predicts that there will be a shortage of output due to the hurricane, and that drives up the price of oil, which makes the gas station owners raise the price of gas now to have the $$ to buy the gas in the future at the higher price. It'll go down once all this hurricane stuff has blown over. But I did hear that several refineries got hit hard by it, so it might take awhile. :cuss:

Glad you had a great weightloss weekend!! :hurray:

I went on one church camping trip when I was a kid. My mom absolutely hated it, and we never went again..lol. Of course, sleeping in tents on hard ground with no mattress could be part of the reason it sucked so bad. :D

So you've got about one week to lose 1.6lbs--you sooo can do it! :hurray: Go Dawn, Go Dawn!! One of Kelly's classes ought to do the trick. :smilielol5:

Thanks for the Kudos :)
I am very excited to be in One~derland again! LOL
This time I am determined to stay in it. :smash:
Looking back I can see now that even though I made it to that magical number not so long ago, I really wasn't much in the game when it happened. I sorta lost my steam. I am sure it had everything to do with the depression. And then of course outside influences did not help matters. Aka MIL.
Not this time though.
I am feeling great and can actually see myself achieving the goal this time.
I love to go camping.
In fact in the summer we try to camp at least once a month. And believe it or not my schedule actually works out great for camping. We just go Monday thru Thursday. It's usually cheaper too!
Do you tent camp or camper camp?

Glad you had a great weightloss weekend!! :hurray:

After tonight's class I came home had dinner and drank most of my 20 oz of water before I thought to weight myself.
I only weighed in 1 # higher than this morning ~202.6~
Sorry you had such a bad camping experiance. And I am sure that you are absolutely right in that the circumstances are what made it so bad.
Trust me if we didn't have pop-up there is no way I would be camping either!
Tried the tent thing 1 time. With 3 kids (one of them being 2 years old at the time) it was the worst time of my life.

I got my undergrad degree at WCU..the mountains of NC...I've been wanting to go camping since then (1997). NONE of my friends/family will go with me....but I may be in luck now cause I've gotten my guy friend to agree to have a simulated camping experience in his back yard this Thanksgiving. The only thing...he lives in New Jersey...so I'm not quite clear on how we will be toughing it (other than the weather)...but I won't complain cause he's being a trooper for me and I appreciate it.

That's a bummer that you can't get any of your friends to go camping. I love to camp sooooo much. It is like the only time it is okay to be all scruffy. Because everyone else is too! :smilielol5:
At least your guy friend is willing to "camp in the backyard". Maybe he will enjoy it so much that you guys will go "for real" camping.
Once when I was a kid my mom let me live in a tent all summer.
I LOVED IT!!!
I think I was like 12 or 13.
It was the best summer ever.

Bella, that's the masterplan...Chica...I know how to work it...lol :newangel:

What did you do in there all summer? lol

That's my girl! :smilielol5:

What did you do in there all summer? lol

I am an only lonely so pretty much had the "place" to myself. :smilielol5:
I spent most of the summer reading books. I can actually remember getting a letter from the President of the USA. Can't remember who it was at the time and of course I was just a kid and didn't keep it. If I had to guess assuming my age and all I would have to say it was most likely Reagan.
I had wrote one of those, do you like being a President letters. And amazingly enough he wrote back. Or at least someone did! LOL
I also liked to listen to music as well as draw. Plus would have friends over, haha.

You are kickin' butt on your goal!!

We used to camp a lot, but when the kids got older, there were always other things going on. Maybe once they sort of move on, my wife and I may start again.

Then again... hotels in the carribean sound nice too...:coolgleamA:

Well as I alluded to earlier I went to my PowerCore class tonight. Again got my butt handed to me in a sling. It was all good though. I know that I was feeling stronger than I did last week.
Took dd, Isa, with me. She wanted to sit and watch and I figured it would do her good to see how hard her momma is working at this.
You know kinda like Scared Straight. In the hopes that she would see how hard it is to get healthy so never get unhealthy.
Kelly was totally cool with her being there but told her that she couldn't just watch that she had to "try it out".
Isa actually stuck with about 20-30 minutes of the class. She was down-dogging with the best of 'em. However she is only just 8 and she tired out pretty quickly. After that she went and sat by the wall and played with her toys.
There was one comment made by someone in the class after they cussed and Kelly pointed out that Isa was in there. Something along the lines of there should be an age limit. Kelly told them that yeah your right there should be one and your too old to be here! LOL :smilielol5:
I thought it was rather odd to say the least that they got upset because they were told not to cuss. As not everyone wants to hear that. So regardless of whether Isa was in there or not they shouldn't be doing that. Especially since the YMCA really frowns on that.
I don't think that Isa will be wanting to come to class again for a while anyway.
I think that it would be cool if they had a class like that aimed at kids. You know same stuff but not so butt kicking hard. Just enough for them to like it and get into the habit of being healthy. Not for losing weight.
Maybe I will bring that up to my boss at the Y. I think that it would be a big seller. Especially if they had it run at the same time as one of Kelly's classes.
That way parents could attend at the same time as the kids.
Well anyway that is my great thought for the day.
I need to get off to bed as I need to get up at 4 in the morning to go work at the Y.
So I'll catch ya'll later!
Later Gators
:seeya:

No.......little bungalows on the beach sound nice!
Did that last summer. W/o kids!!!:biggrinjester:
Oh yeah baby that was the bomb!!!!

Quick little update 'cuz lets face it not much has happened in the last 12 hours! LOL
Jumped on the scale this morning and.................drum roll please..........anyone here fans of the National Lampoons Christmas Vacation?..............think that kind of drum roll...................

200.6!!!!!

:party::party::party:
Oh you know I was doing the booty dance all the way outta the bathroom this morning. :biggrinjester:
Not only does that mean I was down another whole pound but that I am only .8 from going below 200!!!!!
And the Creme dela Creme is that I have 1 week to lose that .8 pounds.
Hehehe :D I think I just may blow this first mini-goal right outta the water.

YE~HAW!!!
