Bellaryna's Journey

W

I think that it would be cool if they had a class like that aimed at kids. You know same stuff but not so butt kicking hard. Just enough for them to like it and get into the habit of being healthy. Not for losing weight.
Maybe I will bring that up to my boss at the Y. I think that it would be a big seller. Especially if they had it run at the same time as one of Kelly's classes.
That way parents could attend at the same time as the kids.
Well anyway that is my great thought for the day.

You know that's not a bad thought. I know they could do it too - they have classes like that for kids elsewhere. I used to have a kids yoga video here that the boys and I would do together - of course that was a few years back. LOL Could you see Mr. M and CMan doing that with me now? They are doing some yoga now with the wii fit. So it's all good. ;) I think for a class like you are talking about above it just needs the right person to do the job.

Quick little update 'cuz lets face it not much has happened in the last 12 hours! LOL
Jumped on the scale this morning and.................drum roll please..........anyone here fans of the National Lampoons Christmas Vacation?..............think that kind of drum roll...................

200.6!!!!!

:party::party::party:
Oh you know I was doing the booty dance all the way outta the bathroom this morning. :biggrinjester:
Not only does that mean I was down another whole pound but that I am only .8 from going below 200!!!!!
And the Creme dela Creme is that I have 1 week to lose that .8 pounds.
Hehehe :D I think I just may blow this first mini-goal right outta the water.

YE~HAW!!!

:sifone: You know that's one big drum roll! And you know that's my fav Christmas movie right beside It's a Wonderful Life. ;)

How is it that the beginning of the day can start out so well but the end of it be such a flop? hmph
Food wasn't so hot today. Not awful but not wonderful.
2 cup honey nut cherrios (Had cereal for breakfast and a snack)
1 cup skim milk
double cheeseburger (I know bad choice)
med fries no salt ( I know and even worse choice but at least there was no salt)
1 Fried Chicken Breast from the Walmart Deli
Cherry Garcia mini (figured it was better than what I would have normally ate) but then at bible study we had ice cream there too. Shoulda said no but how many people can honestly walk away from ice cream? LOL
1/2 cup of vanilla scream w/ about 3 tablespoons of hot fudge.
So there you have it.
Daily plate says that I did go over my cal intake for the day. They have me set at eating 1840 cals a day to lose 2 pounds a week. But I was shooting for 1650.
I did get in an hours worth of Power Core tonight. Though I have no real way of knowing just how many cals I burned off in class. On the Daily Plate I just picked aerobics for my "fitness". It said that I burned like 400 and some cals.
Don't know how confident I am in that number.
Weighed in this morning at 201 even.
Which is totally cool. I still have 5 days to get below that 200 mark. But I certainly won't get there eating like I did today.
In my defense (except for the double cheeseburger and fries okay okay the ice cream too. Can't blame that on being in a hurry.) I was on the run all day and didn't have time to properly eat. I need to go grocery shopping something bad. And it is showing. There is not much for me to choose from in the fridge or cupboards that would keep me on track.
So after working at the Y tomorrow morning I will be off to the store.
Anyhow figured the least I could do was be honest about today.
Tomorrow is another day.

MMMMMMMM BURGER... (he says in his best Homer Simpson voice) :drool5:

You're doing great. Ya gotta let it slide every now and again...

You are so going to hit your b-day goal! Just stay away from the fast food..lol. One day won't ruin it, though, so don't feel bad. I'm so proud of how well you've been doing lately. You'd better be proud, too. I'm sure you burn way more than 400 cals in Kelly's class. If it's an hour long I'd say you burn 700-1000 calories. More if it's longer than an hour.

I also love NL's Christmas Vacation. I try to watch it every year. My fav scene is when Randy Quaid's emptying the RV's sewer into the street sewer. Standing there in that short robe with his bright white legs, smokin' a cigar and waving to the snobby neighbors. That just cracks me up every time. :smilielol5:

Thanks Karl and Kimberly for the encouraging words!

Sooooo I was not surprised to hop on the scale this morning and see it say 202.8 pounds. Not with yesterday's "festivities"anyway. LOL
Though if I would have been able to get more than 4 1/2 hours of sleep the number would have certainly been better. Just means that tomorrow will be a better day. (Saying that with my best Scarlet O'Hara voice :smilielol5: )
After I got off the 'puter last night I decided to do something about the dismal numbers of the day. By jumping on my elliptical!!!
Got on at 10:10pm watching the Cubbies get spanked by the Brewers. Wasn't listening (had thee old MP3 player blasting away in the ears) however so didn't realize for a very long time that they were in fact losing. From where I was at it looked like it was Brewers 0, Cubs 1. Turns out it was actually 6-1.
So I know that I am weird and all but I decided when I got on the beast that I would stay on until the game was over. Do you people realize how long it takes it play a game of baseball? :willy_nilly:
I was on that thing for an hour!!!! Towards the end of the game I was just praying someone would hurry up and strike out the last guy at bat. I was soooo tired. Remember I had already gone to Kelly's class so my legs were already tired to begin with. LOL
Turns out the beastie says that I burned off 587 cals. Since I can't input my weight it was most likely more than that. I was sweatin' like a first class :piggy: pig!! It was sooo gross. I have worked hard before but never that hard.
Here's to tomorrows weigh-in being better than todays. As long as I keep drinking my water and keep a close eye on what I put into my mouth then I see no reason why there shouldn't be a better number tomorrow. 'Cuz I know I did not actually gain no 2.2 points in 2 days. I would have had to of eaten 7000 MORE calories in the last 2 days. And though I may have gone a bit far yesterday I certainly didn't go to that extreme.
Now my biggest concern is camping this weekend. There is just about no way to eat healthy while camping. Though I am going to try my darndest. I plan to pack lots and lots of fresh fruits and veggies. And if I have to skip out on some of the fun things (oh dearest pudgie pie, mmmmm) then so be it. I will just keep telling myself that if I eat that pudgie pie than that is what I will most likely turn into myself. hahaha

WOW! You worked out for an hour on the eliptical? That is just amazing... That is the hardest machine for me (of course, we're not even counting the stairmaster... LOL.) Sorry that you had to watch your team lose while you were doing it, though.

Well, have fun camping this weekend. And remember my theory that there are no calories in food when you are on a camping trip. WOOHOO!!! :smilielol5:

As always, you're welcome, we're here for you, as you would be for us...

I just have to ask, What is pudgie pie...?

:iagree: I second this. I got on an elliptical once and did it for about 2 minutes before I decided that was more than enough..lol. I can't imagine doing it for an hour much less after getting my tush kicked by Kelly's class. You are a glutton for punishment. That's all I have to say. :D

Now, the scale had better reward you today, or I'm gonna drive down to your house and :smash: it. :D

HOpe you have a great weekend!!

I know Bell is still camping and will be back this afternoon to answer this, but I thought I'd answer too.

Here is a good link with different pudgie pie irons:

Usually you take two pieces of bread and add ingredients for the filling - obviously you could make a grilled cheese sandwich. We used to take pizza sauce and cheese - or even a pb&j heated up. Mmm! It just depends on what you want to try.

These are also called hobo pies.

You are kidding right???? :smilielol5:
They are these tasty little things that get cooked over the fire in a square iron.
Basically you are making a sandwich and then putting it in an iron square on a stick (think roasting marshmallow here) that then toasts the outside of the bread while cooking the inside.
The totally cool thing is you can make it anyway you want.
Think hot pockets.
Instead of bread we use crescent rolls. Gives you more of that pie crust.
Too bad you didn't live close enough 'cuz I would for sure be driving over right now to show you. hahaha

Awww Thanks Kimberly.
Truth be know that stupid scale didn't go nearly as low as I would have liked but it was probabaly due more to the fact that I hadn't been drinking my water the day before. I ran out of my fav water flavor.
And your right I am a glutton for punishment. I tell you for sure though I won't be waiting for another baseball game to get done before I get off of that thing.
There was a game that went like 11 or 12 innings the other night. Thankfully it wasn't my team playing! :ack2:
And thanks we had a great time camping.
