Thanks everyone for poppin

on me.
Still coming in at 203. I'll take that especially with all the festive eating I had on Saturday! LOL
Had to go back to work yesterday. Wasn't a bad night at all. We are heading into our slow time. Happens every August. You know, summers winding down and school is starting. Mid-September it will pick back up. Until then I will actually get out of work at decent hours. Of course that basically means that I am not
getting all my hours but that has never mattered to me.
Had lunch yesterday at the church.
The "Greatest Generation" group had a potluck meal. Being one of the minister's of the church definately has its advantages. Since we get invited every time a group has a potluck.
Unfortunatly these are the same people who make everything the "old school" way .
You know real butter, real sugar, real calories.
I took it easy having only 2 sloppy joes, 2 small pieces of ham loaf, a huge helping of green beans and tatos and one very small brownie.
My Secret Sis at church gave me an anniversary present yesterday too!
I "shared" it all around.
It was a package of creme filled cookies shaped like Maple leaves.
Made with REAL maple syrup. They were 110 cals a cookie!!!
Everyone was laughing at my daughter 'cuz when I opened the package I made the comment that you could smell the calories. And of course she latched onto that like a mockingbird, repeating it to everyone she saw.
We are going camping today for a few days. Trying to get in one last hurrah for summer before the kids start school on Thursday.
I love to camp but I loathe try to figure out what we are going to eat during that time. Trying to eat really healthy while camping is not impossible, but can sure feel that way.
Here is the menu that I have come up with for the next few days:
Monday Supper~
Hamburgers (97/3)
Hotdogs
Baked Chips
Baked Beans
Yogurt Parfait (homemade w/ strawberries, bananas and blueberries)
of course Smores (there will be no over eating on this as I only bought one King sized Chocolate bar that has to be split by 4 people)
Tuesday Breakfast~
Homemade Waffles w/ sugar free syrup
precooked bacon (4 slices is only 70 calories!)
Lunch~
Ham Sandwiches
Baked Chips
various fruit (apples, grapes, bananas, blueberries, strawberries)
Dinner~
Grilled BBQ Chix
Baked taters w/ Fat Free Sour Cream
Corn on the cob
Yogurt Parfait again
Apple Pie Pudgy pies made with Sugar Free Apple pie mix (gotta love Splenda!)
Wednesday Breakfast~
Scrambled eggs with shredded cheese and bacon thrown in. (This is hubby's thing to do everytime we camp. I figured one high cal meal out of the whole trip wouldn't be bad)
Lunch~
Ham sandwiches
Baked Chips
Then we head back home.
I am really looking forward to getting some biking time in while camping as we will be at Pokagon State Park. It is one of the nicest and I believe largest parks in Indiana. It has lots and lots of trails for hiking and a really nice bike path. Though in my opinion the bike path is not nearly long enough.
Here are a couple of pics of the park.
Well if we are going to actually go camping then I need to get up off my butt and get things in order. Hope everyone has a great week.
