Bellaryna's Journey

Oh yeah! I'm excited about the Lost finale, too. :D

I was thinking it could be your rotator cuff. My cousin just had surgery for that. She was in misery. I hope you don't need surgery, but if that will make your shoulder better then it's worth it.

Don't worry about your weight right now. When you're in so much pain, you cannot expect to get any hardcore exercise in. Just take it easy and try not to comfort yourself with food too much. :p Yeah, like I'm in a position to say that...:smilielol5:

As I sit here eating my 3rd piece of homemade hot outta the oven banana bread. Just had to make it this morning! LOL :smilielol5:
Thanks Kimberly. I appreciate your encouragement. :Angel_anim:

I wonder if working part of your old job is making your shoulder act up again?

As far as the ladies circuit, I think you would enjoy it. And you can get quite a good workout if you do it right. Maybe I could come up there sometime before my membership is up and workout with ya.

It looks like I'm giving up on the Fit for Life class though as my head is just not into anymore. Plus after working all day in the classroom w/o children cleaning and reorganizing the room is so tiring that all I want to do is come home and relax a bit. So...sorry.

Anyway, I am working out at home so that is good.

Mmmm....banana bread....You are too cruel tempting me with that late at night!! :biggrinjester: Luckily there is none in the house--of course I'm sure I could find something else equally as tempting. :piggy:

Will....resist....:gnorsi:

Yeah I am pretty sure that doing the old job is what most likely set off this unpleasant turn of events. :dupe:
Just goes to prove to me that there is no way I could ever go back to doing it. To bad in some respects since that really is the only job that is ever available first shift on the weekdays. Oh well. Guess I will be stuck on the weekends forever now! LOL
I hear ya on the Fit for Life. I think my thing is mostly due to burn out and now the injury, and of course the longer you "don't" do something the easier it is to let it slide and not get back into it.
The Circuit room does look interesting. And it would be fun to go a few rounds with ya!
So is school all done now?

Don't worry there is none of it left in my house to tempt me late at night either!!!! LOL :biggrinjester:
Resist it you shall :toetap05:

~*Best Wishes 4 a Happy Friday/Weekend!*~

:grouphug:

I just posted all the apartment garden pics in my J that you and Kimberly wanted. ;)

School is done, but we are not. We have to be there until next Thurs. I have been reorganizing and rearranging furniture (shelves, tables, chairs, etc.) Plus cleaning! Ugh! I'm so tired by the end of the day I don't want to do anything. I'd rather be in there with the kids. LOL

Last night actually was a decent night at work! :hurray:
Things ran smoothly and I was able to be home by 10 after midnight. That is waaaaay earlier than normal for us.
Sure was a surprise to hubby to have me home that early *wink wink* :biggrinjester:
Anywho I was so worried last night about my shoulder hurting but aside from a few twinges here and there it was okay.
So I have to assume that what ever was wrong with it is correcting itself. I hope anyways.
I still have an appt tomorrow with the doc and I am going to see what he thinks about the whole thing.
I was telling Omega/Margaret in her diary that I think I am going to start setting smaller, mini goals. I think that I have been doing this so long now that since there is not that excitement of having 2-3 pounds falling off every week I am losing my motivation.
So after I get a chance to research a few things, BMI's (how much to lose to get to a new number) inches (never really did do anything like that) and a few other things I will post what my new smaller mini goals are.

*As a side note I had mentioned last week that I was suppose to go on a glider ride. I still have not been able to go due to this weird spring weather that we keep having.
If it is too windy you can't go up and if it is looking like it may storm you can't go up. As well as the warmer the temps are the longer you'll ride the air currents.
So hopefully this next week I will be able to go. And of course I will post all about it as soon as I do.

I hope that everyone is having a wonderful weekend.
Ciao

Well today is my appt with the doctor for my shoulder. And let me tell you I am glad that today finally got here. Though my shoulder as been feeling better on a the whole I have been having some major pain that will come outta no where.
This morning all I did was try to push the blankets up and off of me while I was getting out of bed and it popped.
Hurt bad enough that I just about started cussin'!
It is so weird cuz' I can move it doing all kinds of things but as soon as I do that "one motion" Owwie Ow wow!
Went for a short little bike ride Saturday with the family. Had to keep it short due to the fact that the youngest still has training wheels. Though he is close to having them taking off.
Hubby and I are planning a bike ride tomorrow just the 2 of us. I figure I can at least ride my bike and walk.
Weighed myself this morning and it was worse than before.
195.2 :ack2:
I started out really well yesterday. And at the end I just totally blew it. Had some chips, sugar wafers cookies, a candy bar and not nearly as much water as the day before.
I know it will sound like an excuse but I don't like drinking water at work cuz' of having to run to the bathroom ALL NIGHT LONG!
And now that my shoulder is hurting it really hurts trying to pull my freezer bibs back up. Sooooo like I said, it is a lame excuse. But regardless of anything I need to get back into the swing of things.

Mini-Goals

Okay so here is my mini-mini list of goals.

First and most importantly get back down below 190.
As of this morning that will be 5.2 pounds.
Secondly get back to my lowest weight of 186.
As of this morning that will be 9.2 pounds.
Once I get back to my low weight I am going to shoot for getting my BMI below 30. That means getting to 177lbs. Once I am at 177 I will have a BMI of 29.9 putting me officially in the overweight catagory, no longer obese.
Along with all these goals I will also:
~Drink 80-100 ounces of water daily
~Maintain my calorie intake at 1650 or lower daily. No more than 11,550 per week. This will give me a bit of play in that if I have a high calorie day I can re-adjust the amounts for the rest of the week and not feel that I have failed on that particular day.
~Do at least 30-45 minutes of exercise everyday. Even with the shoulder injury I can still walk.
~Continue to eat healthy foods. No more junk!!!
~Maintain a food journal effectively tracking every thing that I eat.

Now I just need to implement my plan and stick to it.

Now I just need to implement my plan and stick to it.

Been there, need to do that too. Thanx for stopping by my dairy. It has been a fluctuating week for me, and I too am looking forward to some consistant drop in numbers.

YOU CAN DO IT!

HI Bella,

I am back for a little while!! Nice to see you still trucking along..
I gained some weight as well, and I had to come up with a similar plan to yours. As soon as I stopped with my calorie counting the lbs just started coming back even that I kept up with my exercise routine fairly well.
I hope your shoulder feels better soon!!

You plan looks awesome, now just as you said you just have to stick to it.
Here is some will-power ( i can use some too..) LOL

have a great day.
Hajni

I hope you don't plan on implementing your plan until we finish stuffing ourselves tomorrow. :D

I checked out the Blue Gate's menu online tonight, and I am actually going to do my best to get there before 10:30 so I can eat breakfast!!! LOL It looked so good, I can't help myself. :blush5: I sure wish they were on Central time so I had an extra hour.

Don't worry, I'll be hungry for lunch. ;)

Clearly I didn't make it there for breakfast. :cuss:

Just wanted to let you know I had a great time today with you. It was a lot of fun. I just wish I hadn't spent so much money...lol. I've got enough jam to last quite awhile now..lol. Mom loved her shirt (I found one for her after you left), and the huge jar of apple butter...lol I think I ate half the kiwis on the drive home. :blush5: My nephew loved his car, and his sister liked her hair things (so did her mom!llol) but then a bit later the naughty thing got up the nerve to tell me she'd rather have gotten a toy instead. Her mom was really embarrassed and sent her to her room for being ungrateful. Later I jokingly told her at Christmas she'd get a lump of coal and I'd get her brother something cool like a wii...hahaha. Her brother really liked that idea. :D

I'm glad that you had a great time. I was really kinda worried about it since you had said you weren't into the whole "walking around looking at stuff thing" earlier. I had fun too. Wish I could have spent more $$$!!! :smilielol5:
And really in Shipshe that is about all there is to do. Except for eating YUMMY food that is! :piggy: LOL
Too funny about your niece.
My daughter was happy with the Mickey Uno cards until she saw that her brother got that plane so the same thing happened at my house too!!!! LOL
Tell your sister that it is not just her kid but more the age I think.
Looking forward to getting together again sometime soon. Maybe up in your neck of the woods. I haven't been up that way in years!
It sure was a blast shopping for Margaret wasn't it?
Catch ya later!
I gotta a house to clean. :ack2:

This gonna be a drive :auto: by post as I have sooooo much to do and very if any little time to do it all in!
Meeting up with Kimberly yesterday was a blast! So cool to get to see her for real. It was funny cuz' we were telling this lady how we had never actually met before and how you think of something to tell and then you realize "oh they already know that!"
Anyhow it was alot of fun.
I don't have alot of time to get on this weekend or most of next week. We are having MIL's sister, sister's dd and sister's grandson to visit this weekend.
Of course we didn't know that they were coming for a visit until like Monday. So needless to say, quoting Dolly Parton here, "I am busier than a one legged man in a butt kicking contest!" LOL :smilielol5::smilielol5::smilielol5:
Trying to get my house done and prepare for our Vacation Bible School which starts on Sunday as well as going to our Senior Minister's house tonight to help his wife work in her flower gardens. If you recall I told you all some time back that she has a brain tumor. She is doing really well and has had lots of good reports but she keeps trying to work out in her gardens and she is wearing herself out. So I got a group of ladies together and we are going to go Git-it Done for her. That way she can sit back and enjoy the beauty of it all without being so tired that she can't enjoy it.
However that puts me running around like a chicken with my head cut off since I still have to work this weekend and having the "drop in relatives" is really putting a pinch on everything.
So I will try to get to everyone's diaries as I can but if you don't hear from me for a few days it's for the above listed reasons!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Ciao

Hey gorgeous!!
How fun that you got to meet up with Kimberly and have some fun!! I was hoping to do the same thing later this summer, but my plans got all messed up with the new job and all. I'm going to shoot for next spring if at all possible. I'm so jealous of you all!!

I see you've been having some issues with your shoulder?? What's going on there?? I know I've been MIA so I'm so behind on whats going on with everyone I have to get into the loop again. I like your new plan by the way! I have NO IDEA what I'm weighing currently, I know I'm wearing a little smaller clothes, but honestly with me that doesn't mean I've lost much of anything, I seem to firm up more than lose anymore, so who knows, I'll weigh in after Aunt Flo shows up this month and start monitoring it all over again.

So far so good on my new job, it's keeping me busy, which I LOVE! and all the people I work with are so darn nice! Of course I'm back to working with mainly women again, but this time it's a little different, because I'm pretty much on my own away from the big crew of women that I'm auditing, so I don't get pulled into any office gossip so to speak, which is just fine with me!!

It feels good getting back on here and getting up to speed on everyone again, I've missed you so much!!! I'll try and post at least twice a week and more as I can. I know you mentioned you will be away for a week or so, so hopefully you'll get online once last time before that to see that I have been by. Have a SUPER weekend, and an even better TIME OFF!
Hugs and love to you!
Kim:waving:

Hi Kimberly!
Sooooo glad that you are back on the forum. I sure did miss ya!
It was alot of fun meeting up with Kimberly aka twin. We did alot of walking and of course ate some yummy food! LOL
Can't wait to hear more about what has been going on with ya.
Ciao

Well I did say that I was going to busy for a bit and man that wasn't/isn't an understatement! :ack2:
The relatives left yesterday. They ended staying over at MIL's apartment so that was nice to not have to worry about entertaining them for the whole weekend. Hubby did most of that! Since I had to work and all.
I was able to get yesterday (sunday) off from work. So it was a huge thing here at my house after church what with the relatives and all.
MIL and her sister were cooking up a storm!!! And man can those women cook! I went ahead and ate it all up! LOL It's not like I will be eating like that again anytime soon. LOL
Weighed in this morning at 195.6 but after eating the way I did yesterday that does not surprise me.
I am hoping to get back to that 190 here soon. Especially now that my shoulder is all better.
Can't remember if I told you all what was wrong with the shoulder. hahaha
Just been soooo busy.
Anywho doctor says that it was Rotator Cuff Tendonitis. Basically from doing a repetitive motion over and over. So what it comes down to is that I most likely did something at work to it to bother it and then with the repetitiveness of my job aka: the constant movement, it just got inflamed. And since I wasn't able to get in for about a week it just sorta sat there irritating me.
But he gave me some meds, some sort of anti-steroid Z pack, and I am back to normal. Though the meds did make me NOT sleepy! Was up 2 days in a row for at least 23 hours both days. Weirdest thing for me to experiance because I have been known to fall asleep in a matter of moments before.
Weather here is blazing hot already and the kids have been enjoying their little kiddie pool. I think I am about to go enjoy the kiddie pool! That ought to make a good picture. As I wouldn't exactly fit and it has nothing to do with my weight just simply that the thing is that small! LOL
Well I have flowers to get into the ground and little things around here to do. For once the house is all clean! :smilielol5: And I really feel like I am at loose ends with not having anything to do in it.
Hopefully as this week keeps going on my weight will continue in a downward trend.
Catch ya later gators!
