Being a responsible adult! Weight loss n stuff...

Been a bit slack on the diary front, oops!!

I was really bad food-wise over the weekend, like CRAZY bad. Has been a really good week this week though, just finished workout number 5 and I think the last one for the week as my PT is away, so no class tomorrow. I walked to work yesterday which took just under an hr, I think I have to walk there and back today so I'll be walking around a fair bit! I wanted to ride my bike but I need to pump up my tyres but my pump exploded last week, so waiting till payday to grab another. I'm just hoping it won't rain! It rained all morning yesterday, was clear when I went to work, then bucketed down pretty much as soon as I got back from the park last night. It's pretty damp out there still.

My new job is going ok, it's a lot of fun actually. Lots of talking to people and that's about it! It's been pretty quiet so far though, they make the majority of their sales over a weekend and the last weekend was mothers day so it was dead. Hopefully I'll get crazy sales this weekend! Won't see much of the husband the next couple days, his work has a pretty involved 2 day promo happening so he's crazy busy.

Anyhoo... Not much else happening! I'm sooooooo tired, and I was so ready to skip my exercise class this morning. Ha, I forced myself there and glad I ended up going.

Food plan for tomorrow

B 2 eggs, 2 pieces paleo toast, 30g cheese
S Protein muffin
L 2 organic beef sausages, cauli-mash, broccoli
S Choc protein cake
D 1/2 a homemade pizza

Total calories 1526

Exercise 50min walk to work (Wade will pick me up, it's just today I have to go there and back again. This week only too, my husband normally has Fri/Sat off so he can take me in future!)
 
Morning all. Yesterday was so exhausting! Feel like I still didn't get enough sleep, the cat woke me up pretty early.

Feel a bit sick this morning actually, my stomach has been doing somersaults for some reason. Hopefully I'll get through work ok.

S Protein muffin
L 2 organic sausages, caulimash, broccoli
S Choc protein cake
D Slow cooked chicken breast, shredded and served over mixed veg
S Cottage cheese/almond milk choc ice-cream

Wow these are some very busy weeks and hardcore exercise classes!! Congrats on the new job, looking for work is never fun!!! Hope you feel better soon!
 
Finally got a chance to read all of your entries...fascinated by chia pudding. I have never heard of it before. Congratulations on the new job Luz! I also started a new job but abt three weeks ago. I also do not like when training is insufficient, but although it will take u longer, u will get there...and it appears management is confident of that as well ;) I am so happy to hear about Wade and was even happy to see his name. I remember when he got the bad news so this good news is really fantastic.
 
I'm going to stop dropping in n out guys, I don't mean to! Life just gets in the way... then suddenly 4 months has gone by and I haven't written. oops! I have been stalking peoples diaries here and there, good to still see people are still around!!!

I've actually been really good, have been keeping up with exercise and have been really good with food the last fortnight... finally had a weigh in I was happy with this morning, 71.4kgs, which officially puts me right at 25 on the BMI chart and no longer overweight. I still have a long way to go, but getting there!!! The challenge I completed recently has just started up again and I've been doing PT 3x a week again, so I'll be working out 5-6 days a week.

Short-term goal- be 70kgs in 2 weeks
End of 10 week challenge goal- 65kgs on the 29th September
End of year/UGW- 58kgs

Keeping in with the title of this diary I've booked in to get a few moles removed, something I've been putting off. They're supposedly not dangerous but they're on my face, I'd rather remove them now while they're small because if they do get dodgy I'd hate to have a huge mass removed from my face. Yuck! Booked for 21st Aug! Also planning to rid myself of my wisdom teeth soon and see about getting braces (again). Isn't my life exciting?

Job is awesome, loving it. Might be able to go full time soon as the guy I work with is about due for a promotion so I should be able to take his job. Different department but happy to learn! Everyone I work with is amazing, such an awesome group of people. Also great pay and I demolished last months' target so commission, yay! Got an awesome deal on a new fully automatic coffeemaker where I work too so I've been seriously enjoying my (decaf) lattes.

Anyway... this weeks goal is to keep a deficit average of around 700cals a day and weigh in at 70.7kgs next Mon! Will try my best to properly keep my journal. Haha.

Great to hear the job is going well and you've more or less stuck to the plan.

As for the wisdom teeth, I'm afraid you're not going to enjoy that very much.
 
Thanks MrVee!! Haha I've had 5 teeth taken out before for braces, one I had to get removed in hospital as they had to cut through bone to get to it. I'm actually not concerned with my wisdom teeth, it's only the bottom ones.

Actually I have been trying to get outside of my comfort zone with enjoyable stuff too... started singing lessons a few weeks ago. I did them for about 5 years when I was a lot younger and have always meant to pick them up again. My teacher is great and I'm learning a couple of songs I love which is awesome.

PT this morning, I did legs. Yuck. Food yesterday went over cals, today I ate more than planned also but I think I should be able to still lose 1/2 a kg. Wasn't hugely horrible or anything! Was planning to go to yoga tonight but I just smacked my shin so hard on the bed it broke skin... sitting here with ice on it, it's pretty swollen now lol. It also just started raining which SUCKS. So 50/50 chances of going tonight if I'm honest.

Tomorrow is a day off exercise, I have a singing lesson I walk to and from which is approx. 20mins each way so that's it.

Hey Lucy! Nice having you back. It feels like our little community again. I'm glad your job is working out & that you are still working along nicely towards your goals. Singing would be fun! Having moles & teeth out & then braces doesn't sound like much fun, but it's part of it, as you say. I got a lovely surprise to see your diary active again, xo Cate
 
So I must've hit my shin yesterday a lot harder than I thought, couldn't put any weight on it for the rest of the day. Today it's not so bad but I'm limping pretty crazily. Unsure about work tomorrow, I know I won't be able to walk there but I do have money for a taxi... more worried about walking around and being on my feet for 4 hours. Considering how much it improved overnight I'm not sure I need to see a Dr.

Food wasn't really where I wanted it to be today but I'm trying to stay off my feet so it's just been easy-to-grab stuff.
 
Should be fine at work today, still a little limp but I can walk now lol. ToM came today and surprised me a week early, no wonder this has been my worst food week for a while! Didn't even consider it. Grrr. All good, if I am the same or only a couple hundred grams less on Mon I'll be happy! Still have plenty of time for my goals. Bit worried though, peanut butter Tim Tams just came into existence and I know I want to try them before I die... lol. Maybe next time I want a cheat meal!

Stuck to my food today, moved my PT session from today till tomorrow so will still have 4 workouts this week despite my injury! Also finally got a waffle maker, thinking of giving protein waffles a go tomorrow for breakfast. Will see if I have the energy after PT.

4 perfect days are what I want till weigh day!! Gunna do it!!! (Kind of ridiculous but I think after my 1 bad day with my 2 questionable ones I look a bit leaner. Maybe dropped a bit of water weight with resting yesterday! Also ToM did just start...)
 
Haha always!!! My fav pancakes at the moment are 30g buckwheat flour, 30g vegan vanilla plant protein (I'm using plantfusion), 1 egg and 1/3 cup almond milk. I thought for waffles I'd do the same thing but with an extra egg white and beat them into peaks and fold through so they're crispy and light! Bit of an experiment, will see what happens.

1 perfect day down, 3 to go!!

Well, this week hasn't ended up the greatest. I'll be about 1000cals over maintenance, which is actually ok as I was way ahead of my goal this month anyway. Next week is week 4, I should be able to get down to 70 point something pretty easily. So that's the goal!

Working today, my leg is healed enough for me to walk there so that's good. I have a full on week of exercise planned too!! Going to countdown 7 awesome days from tomorrow.

No plans for tomorrow. Will be cleaning a bit and writing a shopping list.
 
72.4 this morn, not surprised from ToM and all the bad food over the week. Will be mostly fluid though... if I can be 71.4 again by next week I'll be happy to end the month on a 2kg loss.

Few challenges this week, work lunch on Thu and dinner/ movie with husband Fri night. Also my leg is still kinda sore (guessing a bone bruise) and tomorrow I have legs at the gym and then have a singing lesson to walk to. Will be interesting!
 
Today I will be awesome. Going to count down 6 perfect days till the end of this week!!

Just got back from a killer legs session at the gym with my PT. Yikes. Music lesson at midday, then grocery shopping tonight.
