Hello everyone,
@ Iq rider & Loch - Thank you so much for the kind words and support.
...And as always Frogged thanks for the support and encouragement (You are an inspiration to me).
@ Bouncewden - Thanks for your comment, I feel awesome.
In answer to your questions:
I was a US dress size 22 / UK 24 at my largest which was 245lbs, At a guess I think I was about a size 16 when I weighed 190lbs .
How did I do it? Well... I started eating breakfast usually porridge or Weetabix then I snacked on fruit and had a cup of soup whenever I felt peckish, I had meat or fish with salad for lunch and then meat or fish with vegetables for dinner (the opposite of whatever I had eaten for lunch). I bulk the meal up with cous cous which I find is a nice addition to a salad( and low in calories)
I drink a lot of water, green tea, peppermint tea and barley (occasionally).
I started off doing the treadmill 3x a day for 5min's and built it up from there, If I remember correctly it was about 6weeks in when I pushed myself to do 30min's each session and then 60min's, Some days I was working out for 3hrs or more.
I did have an ankle injury which was down to poor footwear, so I then started using the exercise bike as my ankle was too painful to run on.
That took about 4 weeks to heal.
I should also point out that after about week 3or4 I introduced weights to my workouts and did strength training for approx 45mins a day.
At the beginning I was working out everyday but I soon found out that the body needs to rest and recover so I dropped to 6days working out but now I do 5days a week , usually Monday-Friday with the weekend off.
As for losing the 52lbs so quickly, It came off but I couldnt tell even though people kept saying "you look like you lost weight" It wasn't until I out the pictures side by side when I actually saw the difference haha Sounds strange but when you see yourself everyday you don't see the major changes that everybody else sees.
So that is how I have lost 77lbs since January 24th 2011. Just the good old fashioned healthy eating and exercise for me, No fad diets or quick fixes.
This is a lifestyle change not just to lose the weight but to keep it off, people find it hard to believe but I eat more now than I did before.
I only drink occasionally as I used to enjoy a glass ...or 3...bottles of wine haha
In my first week I lost 9lbs my 2nd week 7lbs and my 3rd week 5lbs then as the time went on it slowed down but still averaged about 3/4lbs a week.
Up until I hit 190s then it varied from 1lb-3lb a week.
As the weight came off and my confidence grew I started doing zumba and running outdoors, along with weights and here I am today, feeling great and ready to get the last pounds off.
I have rambled on and wrote an essay so I'm signing off now haha.
I hope I have answered the questions clearly enough, If you have any others I am more than happy to answer...
Thanks again for the kind comments, good luck reaching your goals .
