Keep up the good work Xenon.
On the money saving thing, I recently just did my taxes and it involved going over my expenses to see which count for business. Anyway, I was absolutely stunned at the kind of money I spent ordering food out before I got on my weight loss kick last July. I can't believe I was eating that much and spending that much.
Sort of a side benefit to eating better. The downside is the money I save on food I have to spend on new clothes. But that's a good downside.
Hell yeah that's a good downside. I love fashion!

I ate out alot and ate cheap things like the dollar menu at mcdonalds but it adds up monetarily and fat-wise (could not think of a proper word for that lol)
I've found I've spent more money since eating healthily..Things like fresh meat, veg, fruit isn't cheap compared to the £1 pizza you can get over here!
Glad you're doing well chick xxx
Well yes there is this also. If I was trying to eat things healthy in a different kind of way I would be spending a lot of money. This diet I made for myself is cheap. I'll give you an idea of what I mean.
12 eggs $0.95-->egg whites for breakfast 6 days
1 head iceburg lettuce $1.89--> salad for lunch 5 days
Soup mix packages (chicken noodle or french onion) $1---> Enough soup for me and my mom for a week
5lb bag of rice $3.89--> enough rice for the family for a week.
1 whole small chicken $4.00---> dinner for 4 days
Other fruits and veggies for the week:
Tomatoes $2.00 for 4
Baby Bella Mushrooms sliced $2.00
Organic carrots (usually put these in the soup): $0.99/ 8oz
Cabbage: $0.64/ lb
Bananas: $0.62/ lb
Total $18.62..I used to spend this amount on food for only two days and this is lasting me for almost a week on most things.
Hey you - you are doing great! I giggled at your closet with jeans from sizes 12-24! I know what you mean...with me - the minute I lose weight - I throw out the big clothes to make room for the new...with me yoyo-ing so much in the past 10 years it wasn't exactly a cheap solution. Anyway I am pretty sure soon you can get into those smaller pair of jeans without a problem!
Juicing is great! That would be cool if you did in May with me! You need a juicer first for sure..Depending on how much you want to invest - there is a great variety out there. I got mine for $35. (you can buy a better one for several hundreds - but I m satisfied with what I currently have)
I checked it out. There is one online with a payment plan. $119.00 discounted to $99.00 with three payments of $33.00. May would be a good time for me to do it because I will be out of school

I am looking forward to it.
Good job Xe Using the jeans for motivation should help I have a pair of jeans that I haven't fit in for the last 10 years they are Marc Jacobs and I paid a fortune for those and I just refuse to give them away....my goal is to fit in those by the End of 2013 thank you for the great Idea,......I see that you found my journal thanks for visiting!!!
No problem! I'm going to see how it goes for me too. Numbers and weight drive me crazy but I love clothes and fitting into them will be divine. Marc Jacobs jeans! They sound cool lol.
Well everyone unfortunately I found out that i am fatter than I thought...i am a size 24! Those jeans without stretchiness are a size 22...so size 22 is my goal for month end. *crosses fingers* lets see how it goes. Just had an amazing salad and grilled cheese.
