Becky's Diary

Been to the gym again this morning, im feeling much better for it allready though.

Scales at the gym said 14s11lb so I was pleased to see that number again! Like I said I don't know what the gym's scales are like in relation to the slimming world ones, but obviously any loss is a good one and I still have a few days to go before I get weighed.

Also from my last post when I was saying how I found it really hard at my dad's cause there is always bread thick with butter, loads of mayo on everything etc - well I did really well! the Quorn curry was made with curry sauce from a jar which was 18syns for the whole jar, and it was between three of us so thats 6 syns and I didn't have any bread, mayo, or apple pie and custard even though I was quite tempted to!

I'm going out tonight (dancing of course) and will just stick to a few drinks like I did on New Year - I still had a really good time and didn't have a hangover the next day (which usually just makes me eat things I shouldn't cause i'm feeling sorry for myself!).

I'm so looking forward to having my recorded weight as under 15stone again.

Bye for now X

EDIT: I just tryed on a new work uniform that is TWO sizes smaller than the ones I usually wear and It fits perfectly!!
I missed out a whole size without even realising hehe. V.pleased now =D

Hi Becky

It is good that you are exercising and enjoying it. I think that getting to enjoy exercise is going to be the trick not only for losing weight but for keeping things right in the future.

It is great news that you are seeing a reduction on the scales. I bet you are really looking forward to your next meeting so that you can get a new official weight. It is always fun moving the ticker downwards.

Take care

Hi Becky

Congratulations on 7.5 pounds loss!

That is absolutely brilliant.

I keep saying this - I hate to say "I told you so" but I did tell you that those 3 pounds that you put on at Christmas were just splurge pounds and would be off any day. You are now 4.5 pounds less than you were before Christmas.

You must be so happy. I am so pleased for you.:hurray: :hurray: :hurray:

Haven't been here for a few days.

Despite folowing the slimming world plan and going to the gym this week I have put back on about 4 of those 7lb that I lost on monday. I'm guessing that it was water weight or something, because I was allready 3lb heavier by the tuesday.

Nevermind though! I am still a good few pounds lighter than I was when I started so that counts for something.
Maybe this week will balence everything out so I can get back to a normal 1.5/2lb per week loss.

My goal now is to be under 14s7lb for my birthday which is on Jan 31st. I'm under than now so whatever the S/W scales say I have gained on Monday it shouldn't be too difficult to get back under that.

I hope everyone is well

Hi Becky

Our weight does wiggle up and down from day to day.

I weigh every day - and post a two week window on the weigh every day club. The good thing about doing that is that you see that everyone's weight wiggles up and down - but hopefully follows a general downward trend.

Our weight is affected by a number of things - fat that we burn, muscle that we create, water that we retain (eg our weight goes up before a period, also the body stores water if we dont drink enough water or if we eat too much salt). You have to take all these things into account if you are trying to understand how your weight is moving.

There is also quite a big difference between your weight first thing in the morning or later in the day after you have been eating and drinking. I have sometimes got on the scales later on the same day and seen my weight 4 or 5 pounds heavier than it had been that morning.

The big thing is of course that you are thinner because your uniform is two sizes smaller. This demonstrates your diet success better than the scales ever could. I am sure that your weight will be at your target or below for your birthday.

So I put on a little 1.5lb so thats not too bad. I was feeling a bit dissapointed but it still averages out as a 3lb loss per week over two weeks so I shouldnt really complain!!

Updated my ticker and my BMI is still 33.something. Even though it would actually add up to 34 it still looks better to me when it says 33.

Anyway, my goal I set myself of being under 14s7lb for my birthday is still looking quite achievable, considering I only need to loose 1.5lb to get back down there and I have over two weeks to do it in!

Hi Becky

A 1.5 pound gain is certainly nothing to worry about. That happens to me all the time when I am getting a good weight loss.

An average of a 3 pound loss a week is very good. Many people on this forum would love to have that loss. I lost 0.6 pounds last week.

Stay focused - be good with your food and do your exercise and you will be under 14 and a half stone for your birthday for sure.

Thanks guys.

I havent been here in a few days becasue I have been busy revising for my A-level exams which are tomorow and tuesday.

Havent done too badly food wise but I havent been to the Gym since monday. Im just going to take a break and get back there on Wednesday when the exams are over.
Just hoping to maintain my weight in slimming world this week because my excercise levels have been way down and the exam stress has lead to me have a few things to eat that I usually wouldnt, although nothing too terrible.

Will check in tomorow after Ive been weighed! X

Hi Becky

Good luck in the A levels and at the scales.

I remember that I hated my A level exams - I actually found them more stressful than my degree so you have my every sympathy.

Forgive yourself those little indulgences - we all do things like that when stressed - it is how you behave the vast majority of the time that really counts. I am sure that you will be right back on track after the exams (and possibly a little celebrating) are over on Tuesday.

Yay so, one exam down aaaand another 3lb off this week =D

V. pleased with myself especially since I didn't get to the gym. Im now 14stone 5lb which I havent been in a long time!

hopefully another 2lb next week which will take me down too;
a)Under 200lb!
b)A total loss of 2 stone!

Going to go make some syn free chips for tea before I get back to my psychology revision.
Byeee X

Hi Becky

Congratulations.:party::party:

You must be so pleased.

That is great weight loss for the week and it is great that you are at a new low weight. We all love new lows. You have attained the weight that you wanted for your birthday.

It is also great that you have got your A level exam behind you. Good luck for tomorrow's exam.

You are hovering just over a couple of great milestones there. I hope that you achieve them next week. If you dont quite achieve them - you know that all you have to do is stick with being good with your food and exercising and you will achieve both milestones very very soon.

At this rate you will be so slim by the time you start your course this summer.

Exams over!

YAY! I think they were okay, can't wait to get back on track properly and go to the gym tomorow.

I'm going out tonight to see Blood Brothers with my Mum and Brother, so we are going for something to eat first. I don't know where we are going to end up, but im quite determined to behave myself! Im enjoying the weight loss so much and nothing tastes as good as it would feel to stand on the scales on monday and have lost 2lb. I feel really motivated after that 3lb last night, and with only 1 week to go to my birthday and I'm allready 2lb under that little goal I set myself. Anything else would be a bonus, but im just going to try my best and whatever happens is good.

Anyway, going to go and enjoy my day off since tomorow is back to college and the start of psychology coursework.

X

Hi Becky

I am pleased that you have got that nasty exam behind you.

Have a good night out tonight and I am sure that (apart from a little indulgence) you will eat wisely. We are all entitled to a little celebration at times.

I know that you will be good - watching those pounds come off is really addictive.

Take care
